I also think that exercise is very beneficial for many things in P2, including the weight loss. I do it everyday... And I love Tae-Bo and do it in P2 too!!

Down another pound today. I think my weigh gain on day 3 and 4 happened because of the green tea complex I bought at GNC. Hopefully they let me return it, cuz I'd hate to waste $17.00 on something I won't use.

I bought a spaghetti squash once and I could not get the darn thing opened. My knife broke in the process! What a nightmare. Wish I could figure that out.

VLCD2 netted a 2 lb loss. Yay. But, it was by far harder than yesterday. I got really hungry before lunch, so I ate half of my lunch. But, it didn't take a dent out of the hunger pains. My neck is still itching like crazy and I can't figure it out. I am going to put some lotion on it. I have dry skin and I think the baby oil is not helping in that area. I am still hungry, but I am giving my body (stomach is growling at me LOL) the week to adjust.

Hanging on in desperation. Oh and I am a BEAR! SO grouchy and short tempered and in my HIGH stress life that is not good. I think it's my coffee. I really used that to relax. Maybe that was my original problem and I am a drug addict detoxing; but I really don't drink that much caffeine (just one cup a day) all the rest was decaf. Well off to make a cup of tea. A lot of energy though. I don't seem to get sleepy only physically tired from my crazy life.

Hugs and whoosh wishes to you all!

Just finished gagging down my SIXTH apple for my apple day. Suffice it to say I won't want an apple as my fruit for a few days after this! Ha!!

At 3:30, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it. I just felt strange--kind of light headed and almost like I had a sugar rush or something. I drank a ton of water and went ahead and ate two melba rounds, and that seemed to help. All I know is, if I don't see a bit of movement on the scale tomorrow, I will be one sad girl! I'm not real sure what the logic/science is behind the apple day. I know that Simeon said it was psychological, but if it results in a loss, isn't that physiological, too? But what gets me is that eating 6 apples in one day gives me a TON of carbs. (But also a lot of fiber?) Who knows. What I do know is that I am pretty hungry after only eating apples all day--probably from a lack of protein. Looking forward to some MEAT tomorrow!

On a positive note, I really do love the muscle definition that happens w/ hcg. My arms are much more defined and I'm not lifting weights right now or anything. I'm guessing it has something to do w/ the minimal amount of carbs that I am consuming.

I must say that I am envious of Paula who was able to "fall into a vat of Peanut Butter" and show a loss. That is a truly beautiful thing! Ha!

I'm on my fourth nalgene bottle of water, so I will probably be up peeing like crazy tonight. Looking forward to hopping on the scale tomorrow and seeing that woosh that I am due.

Have an amazing evening, ya'll-

Kay

Down 1 lb today for a total of 11 pounds in 9 days. Decided to have a diet coke this afternoon for the first time this round. I am the queen of diet cokes, and could not even stand it. I threw it away after 2 sips. Guess that is another benefit of hcg. I've been trying to quit drinking diet coke for years, but never made it more than a few days.

Ugh! I can't imagine how hard your day was; I sure hope you get some downward movement. I don't think I could do that.

Kay, its the diuretic effect in apples .... sometimes you have a loss and then a regain on the second day due to the water coming back, but thats the "logic/science" to the "apple day" I hope it works for you hun. I am praying for you!!

LoL, it's not easy! I use a BIG knife!

I was down 0.4 this morning. Calories yesterday were 580. I seem to be in that range daily. I eat a protein 3 x a day because I have cottage cheese for breakfast. /shrug. I seem to be on track, so I'm not worried about it.

My doctor wants me to come in this morning to have my potassium checked. I called and asked if I could take a supplement because I am only getting 25% - 30% of my RDA. She said that potassium that is too high or too low can be really dangerous (heart-wise) so, in to the doctor I go. I am also on YAZ though, and that complicates things. I'm not worried about anything except her telling me to quit hgc!

I hope everyone sees a whoosh today!!

Down .5 this morning. I had a broccolli and chicken "skillet" meal last night with a LOT of Braggs Aminos. My hubbie cooked and accidently put too much. It tasted super salty but we ate it anyway cuz it was already cooked and we dont waste food. Is braggs loaded w sodium? It dosnt *seem* like it on the label but i cant remember the serving size.
Anyway--down is down, and a 1/2 lb is still pretty good i suppose!

I think it's a great idea...that's the worst thing about this diet IMHO. Rapid weight loss really does a number on the electrolytes, and it sounds like you have a smart doctor to want to keep an eye on it.

Sigh of Relief

R3VLCD9: Thank heavens. Down 2 lbs this morning after my apple day to 149.

Whew. I'm four pounds from LDW from last round, inching my way there. I REALLY hope that this is a true loss and not just water--I had forgotten that it could "bounce back" the second day b/c of the dieuretic effect of the apples. Although, I had to do one apple day in R1, and it got things moving again after a stall with no regain.

Thanks for all of the encouragement! It helped a lot.

It looks like I will be under 150 when I go camping, which is really good. Figuring out how I will deal with camping/food today as we are going shopping for our menus. I will be very happy if I come back with no change as opposed to a gain.

We have a busy day today, but I wanted to post an update! Have a lovely Wednesday!

I posted on the old thread yesterday so here's my post from yesterday. Thanks Lisa for wishing me good luck.

No loss today. I guess my body needs to catch up from all the losses from last week so I'm not too upset.

I have minor outpatient surgery on Thursday to get my permanent implants after my double mastectomy in February. I'm sure this will affect my weight but I'll just have to deal with it and move on. I have a feeling the permanent implants will be heavier than the temporary expanders so I'm trying to brace myself.

Shannashimmers, I take Metformin as well for glucose intolerance/pre-diabetes. I take 500 mg twice a day. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with how you're feeling though because I've continued to take metformin on all my rounds. I'm sorry you're feeling bad. Have you tried to increase your potassium?

Have a great day Firecracker Girls!

Now for today's post. I'm down .2 today but that's still in the right direction so I won't complain (yet anyway lol). I didn't realize the losses would slow to a crawl but I haven't measured yet so hopefully there will be good news there. I had a busy day yesterday so I didn't get a chance to read everyone's posts. I will have a busy day today as well since I won't be in the office for a few days so I will try to catch up this evening.

Have a great day!

I'm going on a family camping trip next week for 5 WHOLE DAYS!!! I'm freakin scared!!! ESPECIALLY because my losses so far have been more like GAINS!!

TOM should leave by sat the latest so hopefully I can get this ball going in the right direction!!

Good luck to you and I'm hoping for the same thing, coming back with no change, rather than a gain!!

WOOHOO! I woke up very early today and have my happy face on!

A 2lb loss for me this morning. Since 1lb is usually the norm for me on week 1, I consider that a mini-WHOOSH! (Considering the no loss from yesterday).

And I had a hell of a spin workout last night, so I'm sure that contributed to the whoosh.

Kay, yeah!!! Good job! I hope it sticks too and you dont rebound. I will wait to hear, as I get nervous from apple days too!! Mind, I am not sure I would be able to hold out 4 days to do one, would probably screw up and eat off protocol first!

I was down another 1.8 this morning, so I will take it. I have been eating around 800-900 calories and seemingly this is helping. I will try one day of this, and if I lose this good again, I will keep it up. 2 days in a row of 1.8 with highe calories (and lots of exercise) so maybe that works okay for me... one more day trial!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday and the losses continue!!

Yay on the loss! I figure I'm the one who decides how my outlook on life is. I can either trudge through the day with a scowl and feeling sorry for myself, or I can grin and bear it or I can just be happy to be alive. I choose the latter.

I will have a busy day today as well since I won't be in the office for a few days so I will try to catch up this evening.

Have a great day!
Woo hoo, down is down, girl!

A 2lb loss for me this morning. Since 1lb is usually the norm for me on week 1, I consider that a mini-WHOOSH! (Considering the no loss from yesterday).

And I had a hell of a spin workout last night, so I'm sure that contributed to the whoosh.
Yay on the loss!! Woo hoo!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday and the losses continue!!
Woot! You go girl!

YaY! Glad it worked for you!! I've been holding at 168.4 since Saturday and if I don't see a loss tomorrow I'm on the apple plan too. Hoping for a little whoosh so I don't have to go there!

Good luck camping!

Excellent, Cathy! I might be interested to try eating more calories but exercising, too. I am missing my workouts, but just don't feel like I could do a whole lot w/ just 500 calories in me. Interesting...

I hope you have another fabulous loss tomorrow!

It looks like most everyone is having good losses this morning--way to go and work the protocol.

Marocka--YOU'LL MAKE IT--TOM is a booger and sometimes he just ain't nice! I'll bet a nice loss is just around the corner. Try to hang in there and see it through and don't let your mind talk you out of something that you know is right. As for camping, if I come back with any amazing insights or words of wisdom, I'll let you know!
