That happened to Beezer. She is apparently gone from our midst! Haven't seen her once since she started P3.Mini, thanks for the kudo's about yesterday! I'm very happy about it all, but I wish I would have had the courage to dive. It's a life-long phobia, but I'll tackle it! It's gotta be better than entering the water right-side up! All the water that gets flooded up your nose is aweful. I pinched my nose but once I hit the water, I let go and started to swim back to the surface. Everyone sounds like they're doing great today! Kay, I would do a P3 Interruption for the camping trip, but keep the calories kind of low (shoot for 1200 or so; less if you can manage that.) Then come back to protocol (or rogue) when camping is thru. (Paula, you made me laugh about martyrdom! Camping is definitely a chore, but I'm looking forward to camping next month.) I'm doing well, albeit the sunburn on my upper back and shoulders. I guess I should have asked sis to reapply the sunblock after all the swimming. That part of my body got sun for nearly the entire 4 hours. I'm down to my ticker weight, finally. I never went above 168 but I have been so stuck! This must be another set-point. I'm blasting through it soon. It will be behind me and I'll find where the next dreaded set-point lies. I'm really enjoying my new plan! I am eating yogurt and LF cottage cheese (like before) with walnuts and nonsweetened coconut. I'm eating fruit whenever I want it and if I eat veggies I'll use butter spray to keep the fat lower. I'm still drinking diet soda and iced tea, and sometimes a couple of O'Douls (But I'm going to stop buying those; too high in carbs.) Still chewing sugar-free gum and tracking all my calories and such on ******. I'm even enjoying those chocolate popsicles! Two of them are just 80 calories and they are so good! I have two each night before I go to bed. Last night I even ventured so far as to have a serving of mini shreaded wheat with FF half and half with a little water added. I also put in a small handful of raspberries and some Ez Sweetz. YUM! And I'm down 0.6 today (still not VT but it's a good sign.) My calories for each day are around 1000-1100 so far. I can do this for a very long time. I know myself and I'll get tired of fruit and stuff, and I'll be more into meat and things that I used to eat all the time. But I go through phases and this is the phase I'm in now. I am really loving it! Have an awesome day, ladies! KUTGW! ![]()

I'm here! Haven't been very hungry today, which is a plus. I am hoping that I can push through and get to 128 on Sunday. That would be AWESOME!
Wanted to add that my boobs are now a large B/small C, so they are in proportion with my body at5'3 with a small frame. It just feels weird to have so much less there. Last edited by Bierarsch; 07-14-2011 at 05:38 PM.. |

Cheryl, your plan sounds delish! I'm jealous!
Today I was so hungry! I ate a ton and way too many calories for sure. Breakfast I had a 1/2 of a low carb english muffin and some sugar free blueberry jam I made. I was planning on skipping lunch but was too hungry by 10 so I had a salad with chicken, bacon and blue cheese. Then by 2 I was hungry again and had a yogurt, then at 4 it was almonds and dinner at 5 was a buger (bunless) and green beans. I could eat again. Funny thing is I weigh less right now then I did this morning. Strange. I rarely eat like this! Work has been fun this week. We're hourly so we can come and go as we please, wear what we want and its been fun reconnecting with coworkers that I havn't seen in over a month. The work itself is borning but the conversations are a hoot! I'm still totally exhausted though and finding it difficult getting back into the swing of things and our morning routine needs help! I'll try to check in more often but we've yet to even unearth the computers!

Questions about to phase or not
Tuesday was Day One of LCD. One thing I like about this program is that I am eating a lot less than I used to; i.e, probably a NORMAL portion size.
I am very interested to see where this takes me. Cheryl, I read your post about "no more phases" and I would like to learn more about how that works. I am just at the very beginning of this journey, so I think the best thing is to keep my calories and fat low for now. I really need to get rid of a quick 10 pounds so I can get back into my clothes, comfortably. However, I do want to enjoy the delicious fruit this summer! Are you skipping P3? Does that affect the hypothalmus resetting itself? Ellen |

Hi all,
Just checking in really quick with a story (I should be fixing dinner-so not hungry, and it is almost 8 p.m.). So, shopping in the closet. I bought a pair of jeans about 2 weeks ago. They fit perfectly when I bought them. I wanted a new pair for the concert, so that was that. Now, along with all the other jeans I have been wearing, they are falling off! I used to hate trying to figure out which TIGHT pair of jeans to wear. Now I hate figuring out which TOO BIG pair of jeans to wear! Haha. Anyhow, you know how the new Lee Rider jeans have those stupid "slimming" panel in them? Well, I bought a pair of 24s when I couldn't fit into the 22s anymore (sad, but true-hate buying bigger). I didn't try them on at the store (walmart), just brought them home. They didn't even come close to zipping when I tried them on. I thought, oh, well, they will fit some day-I hope. That was way back in March, I think. Always thought maybe I would take them back. Well, I wore all my other 24s this week, fighting pulling them up, tried a belt. Thought about trying on my old 22s. Then I remembered the (ahem) "slimming" jeans. I pulled them on, thinking that they wouldn't fit still. OMG! They went on, zipped up, and were actually too big-they had an extra 1 1/2" or so in the waist! They were falling down all day, I was stepping on them on the bottoms...! What??? I didn't think I had lost that much! So, all in all, in kinda put me in a good mood. Tomorrow I am trying on the old 22s. Wish me luck!! Have a great evening!!

Hi Cheryl
I am good thanks. I have come back from a trip away , and am settling in to the gym again. While I was away I did heaps of walking, and a few bodyweight exercises- which was a nice break from what I normally do. But now I am having to break my body in a bit to get back into the weight training. I am deciding what diet trick to use next, lol... I think I will go back to my 2 day cycle, with a big load day and a very low cal day. And maybe a few medium days here and there just for variety. While I was away I cycled calories in between 2300 and 3200; and this was enough to create a small bit of leaning out - it is not fast, but enough. I am taking the slow route of weight loss right now- simply because it is more tolerable and easier on my body! Anything else creates too much strain; hunger, weakness, and depletion.. If I can get 2 pounds of fat away in a month- it is good enough. And it is much more likely with this slow loss that I can maintain or even improve when it comes to the muscle front. I am experimenting with drinking oolong tea- for extra energy and a bit of appetite suppression. It is also supposed to help with fat burning- but that is probably only a very minimal effect- we will see.. Have a nice day all Nola Last edited by nola baxter; 07-14-2011 at 11:33 PM.. |

Day one of carb-inclusion experiment completed, and it was fine -- didn't trigger any cravings, in any case, and I actually ended up eating less, I think, than I have been -- so that is encouraging. I'm pretty sure I came in at less than maintenance calories today, and I am not hungry tonight.
The lower dose of hhcg also seems to be working a bit better. I was hungry for a bit this evening, and then after taking it, the hunger totally dissipated. My poor GI tract is a bit confused, but that'll settle in soon enough... at least I hope so. Today I bought some very dense pumpernickel bread (yum!), some berries and apples, some hummus and a whole grain sugar free hot cereal, and will try adding those in gradually over the next few days, here and there. I ate two slices of the bread today, and I also treated myself to a banana -- not the best fruit choice to be sure, but I hadn't had one in forever, and it was certainly yummy. I will stick to the lower GI fruits in general, though. I'm really hoping my body can tolerate the carbs... I do like eating them sometimes. I also bought a really good full spectrum enzyme supplement (digestive and systemic) which may help with the re-adding in of the carbs, as well as help mediate any inflammatory effects I might get from them.

Morning all! Down another 2 pounds. This week was sure full of crazy losses for me! Even for my husabnd who is down 20 pounds since Tuesday! He believes it was the gazpacho that we've been eating daily, lol! I've got 6 to go to get back to goal. Hoping to get there by next Saturday. I will definately have to pick up the exercise and drop some of the calories if I want to do it!
Nola and Mini- I love following you guys on here! You give me so many ideas! Maureen- way to go! I find it to be exciting and frustrating both when clothes I just buy are too big within such a short time frame. I love it though! Ok, speaking of which I need to figure out what I'm going to wear today to work. Not feeling anything in my wardrobe! |

Haven't seen Bernice in a couple of days, so I will take magnesium today in the hopes that that will inspire her to visit me. |

Morning, everyone!!!
I'm up early, too -- but at least I got a good night's sleep. Feeling better for the rest day, but hoping I can get back to working out today. I will see how I feel a bit later. I think the lower dose hhcg is agreeing with me -- no more crazy hunger, thank goodness. If that keeps up, I should be able to eat at a deficit pretty easily, and that will definitely lead to some fat losses over time --- like Nola, I may just need to take that slowly rather than risk depletion and muscle loss. That's fine, really -- as long as I am seeing results, I'll take it. I peed a lot last night, and my abs look much better this morning, meaning that the inflammation is starting to go down-- and I'll definitely take that. |

I am in the midst of my 3rd round on internet problems in 4 days. Everything looks fine on the modem and my computer says it's got a strong connection, but neither IE or Firefox will load. When it resolves, I'll pick up where I had to leave off!

I hope we can get to see it! Clouds, please go away tonight! Come back tomorrow, okay? ![]() I am doing another flushing out of my system today (IYKWIM). I didn't get the results I expected the last time and so today I'm going for broke. I will eat as little as I can and see if I can break through this stall tomorrow. I am running out of patience! In fact, it left about 5 days ago. Still sore somewhat today but I'll be heading over to my workout room momentarily to do some more kettlebell moves. I want to do some sweating and panting. Hi Cheryl
I went up to Auckland and Coromandel (in NZ) to visit my family, and take my son to see his father.. Oolong tea tastes somewhere between black and green tea. It is not bad , and if you are a tea drinker you might like it alot! It is supposed to have a few health benefits too- good for the teeth, lots of antioxidants, helps with the heart, diabetes, skin disorders, and reduces high blood pressure. mdolph I glad to hear you are getting something out of mine, (and minis) postings.. I do sometimes wonder if what I have to say is relevant to others. mini I dont know how much will apply to you or not- but certain fibrous carbs and foods create disturbance in my GI tract. I soak and ferment grains, (as in Nourishing Traditions) - which helps a lot in their digestibility; and if they are not soaked or fermented- I would rather eat white versions- because they dont cause the same GI distress as the wholegrain versions for me. I generally avoid eating fresh raw fruits with other foods (though bananas work fine for me with grain foods). Salads and raw fibrous veges tend to give me gas and bloating- so I mainly avoid them and eat well cooked veges instead. Onions- cooked or not, though they are much better very well cooked, create gas for me. Coming from a past of IBS, it has taken me many years to work out what foods were the problem- and it is an very individual thing of course; but the traditional approach of lots of fiber, wholegrain foods, fresh fruit and veges etc, was totally the wrong thing for me!! In fact the first time I went low-carb it was a bit of an epiphany; no gas or bloating, crampy pains etc !! It was the first key for me in beginning to understand what foods worked for me in terms of IBS and what didnt. And then when I read the "Fiber Menace" stuff by the Russian guy, that confirmed what I had experienced - ie, fiber can be a problem! Now I know I can eat some carbs, grains, fibrous foods and veges, but just the right ones, and in the right amounts. Nola Last edited by nola baxter; 07-15-2011 at 11:57 AM.. |

It's winter down there right now, right? How old is your son? I hope you had a great time!
Yes, what you say is relevent to many of us. We may not be in your fitness league but we value what you have to say. We can incorporate things you've learned into things we've learned and maybe come up with a better plan for ourselves. LC used to work really well for me, but then it just seemed to stop. I used to have trouble with digestion on that plan, but only the lower aspect of it. No heartburn or gas, etc, but constipation gallore. I guess that's a chronic condition that will follow me wherever I go! But when I was eating lots of bulky foods (aka not taking care of my body or my health,) I "moved" fine. (I have IBS, too.) Sometimes I can get into tea, but I go through phases. Last edited by CherylB; 07-15-2011 at 12:24 PM.. |

Last night I forgot to take my evening pellets until late, and I was up .6 after being on strict protocol. I also didn't get much sleep.
Today I had lunch with my cousin (he's been really supportive with setting boundaries with my mother), and it was very much not protocol. I might eat a very small dinner and make sure I get plenty of sleep and see where the scale lands tomorrow. ETA: I had ovary pain yesterday so it's very possible that I am ovulating, and I always retain a ton of water during ovulation and PMS.

For Cheryl and MiniMonkey
Cheryl,
I am 5'3". I used to be very active; walking and weight training, so I am muscular and look better at a higher weight. For example, at 139 pounds I can get into a size 8. Right now I am in size 14 (tight!) at 181 pounds. My "pipe dream" weight is 127. My lightest weight in YEARS was 163, and that was back in 1999. So yes, the 160s are a temporary stop on the way to my goal. I'm wondering if it is better to have some breaks in between and learn how to maintain? Mini: Do you have a blog or a journal? I used to do a lot of weight training. Not real heavy; enough to feel challenged and I got good results from that. I am not really doing anything at all right now for exercise. If anything, I may do some Callanetics. I think when I get to P3 I'll go back to weight training, and will be looking for advice on how to balance the calories with the training. |

Maggie, I hope you feel better soon! I hope the meal with your cousin was worth it.
![]() Ellen, you're my height! I can't wait to get out of the 60's. I feel so fat! If you are muscular, maybe the 150's would be better for you. You know what's best, though! Disney, sorry you are having trouble getting started. 12 miles is probably going to negate anything you ate today. How long will that take for you to run? People jog or run at such different speeds. What is your typical pace? I just noticed how many posts you have! Holy Moly, girl! I didn't know you were such an old-timer around here. You make me feel like a babe! As far as "falling off the wagon," I'm not even sure what wagon I'm on anymore! Funny, but not really. I swear! If I'm not below 166 tomorrow, I don't know WHAT I'm going to do. I get so angry and frustrated when I hit a stall like this one. I get reckless! |
