Starting to worry. How am I going to keep it off?

To those of you that have a round or two under your belt, what advice do you have for keeping it off? I was watching food network (stupid, I know) and I am wondering what's going to keep me from going crazy after p2. The hcg helps now, but what's going to help me then? All I can think about is the pizza and sweet potato fries that I can eat again someday.

P3 P3 P3. Believe in it, live it, love it, and eat to your BMR. Seriously. No starches or sugars for those 3 weeks, and just see how high your calories can be (Nancy/Charms said it best, "push the calorie envelope"). I was amazed that I could maintain on 1800-2200 calories, as long as I ate P3 foods. So don't be tempted by the pizza and sweet potato fries. Make a low carb version of pizza -- there are a ton of good ones. Eat roasted green beans -- they are just as good as sweet potato fries.

Then in P4, see what you can add back in. I know that I will never be able to regularly indulge in high carb foods without gaining, but I can eat some and keep it in check. YMMV, but I highly recommend following the protocol on this.

AWESOME PIZZA P3 LEGAL AND OH SO GOOD
Quote:
DEEP DISH PIZZA
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1 ounce (I used the kind in a can)
1/4 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces Italian cheese blend or mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup pizza sauce
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Assorted toppings: pepperoni, ham, sausage, 4 ounce can mushrooms, green peppers, bacon, ground beef, etc.
Dash of garlic pepper or garlic powder and some Italian seasoning for top of pizza

In a medium bowl, whisk the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Whisk in the eggs until the mixture is well-blended and smooth. Add the parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below). Bake at 375º 20-25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark. Let cool completely on a wire rack. When nearly cooled, take a metal spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen. Keep the crust in the pan. This makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time.

Spread the chilled crust with the pizza sauce, then the cheese and toppings of your choice. Lightly sprinkle with the seasonings of your choice. Bake at 375º about 15-20 minutes or until toppings are bubbly. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.

Makes 8 servings
Can be frozen

I agree daily weighing is key to keeping it off. If you follow p3 it will stay off, and I even would eat bad stuff after p3 and my weight stayed the same. I was actually amazed.

That pizza looks awesome, wish I could have some right now

I would give anything for some cheese right now. I remember when I used to eat low carb I hated it but after doing this I'am so ready to eat like you do on p3!

Food porn! I've been indulging in this myself lately, looking at dessert shop's websites, & cooking blogs online...giving myself the WORST cases of head hunger and frustrating myself in the process! I need to quit it, seriously.

i don't mostly, some do. if you do eat to your BMR google BMR calculator and use your LDW to figure it and yes i know that sounds high but you will be amazed if you stick to the no starch no sugar rule how very much you can eat on P3 i just monitor my weight every day when i am above by 2 pounds i do a correction day and i usually stabilize very well GOOD LUCK you can do this!

My BMR is low because I am basically a short sloth. 1700 calories. Meh. Can't see myself going TOO crazy in P3 thanks to that.

Yes, even if you are "sedentary" you multiply the base number by 1.2, so don't short yourself!

ETA because I said "short" yourself *snort*

just did mine( it will be lower i am just one week into this round) and it is 2024.25.
considering before HCG if i had eaten 2000 calories in a day(even at 60 pounds heavier which i was) i would have gained like crazy!!!! now i have no doubt that once again iwill be able to do it and maintain
i would be starving on 1200-1300 calories before and still gain... HCG has been a miracle for me
