Breadsticks (grissini) are generally pencil-sized sticks of crisp, dry bread originating in Turin and the surrounding area in Italy.

Yup, I finally found it in the Sauce isle of the supermarket, way up on the top in the middle of nowhere and probably the stupidest place, but there they were. Really thin, yes pencil thick breadsticks.
