Anyone else drop a whole shoe size?

I have worn a size 9 for many, many years. About a month ago I noticed that my shoes were a little loose, and I bought a few pairs of 8.5 sandals. Now I am trying on new shoes and finding that I am needing them in an 8!

I wear only a few brands of shoes so the sizing is consistent. I guess I never heard of losing weight in your feet!

No, but I hope this is true because I have a closet full of 6s and am in a 7 or even 7.5 after my babies.

I did. I am wearing size 6 or 6.5 now, and was wearing 7 or 7.5 before. I guess I didn't know feets could lose weight...

My rings used to be a 6 or 7 and I can't wear any of them, I need a 5. (that's a lot of rings to have sized if I want to wear them...)

I am LOVING the ring thing because I have not been able to wear my wedding ring since gaining weight because it is a wide band and pretty much unsizeable due to its design. I missed my bling and love showing it off again!

lol! That's so weird! I've heard that in the past, but in these 130lbs that I've lost - I have not dropped even a half size shoe. Of course, my foot is skinnier now and I can fit into any sandal I want (even a 9), but my foot will still stick out of the back a bit if I'm wearing a smaller size. I've been a size 10 since I was in about 5th-6th grade.

Oh man, why couldn't I like wearing a CHEAPER brand of shoe? I mostly wear Borns and they are NOT cheap! However, I am eying a pretty pair as a reward once I see ONEderland and am able to move into P3!

High heels and I never really got along when I was well over 250 lbs but I am LOVING being able to wear them more now!

Here is the pair I have my sights on:

Now if I could only find them for less than $100!

WOOHOO!! Those are SO sexy and gorgeous!!

Well, I work in Manhattan nyc so those heels are a no-no for most of us Ugh, it's so hard to wear heels out here b/c we have to walk to the train, walk to work, walk up/down stairs in the subway.

When I lived in Miami, I wore those all the time

Same here in Chicago, although I don't work downtown anymore. But... um... well... let's just say work would be the LAST place I'd wear a pair like these to!

Knee high boots. Because I no longer have chubby calves!

I have a few Born ankle boots, but soooo not the same thing as a tall, lean, luscious pair of knee highs, lol.

You know, my hubby discovered a pair of Borns for me when we were on vacation years ago. I originally scoffed at the price tag - I had always worn cheap shoes until then - but they were the most comfortable pair I had ever tried on and on sale for $50 and I figured what the heck. That one lone pair sparked a loyalty to the brand. Borns are so well made and a dying breed brand in all leather.

I hate how manmade materials seem to be all you find now. Heck, remember when Coach handbags were made of quality leather and would last forever? Now they come in straw and microfiber and vinyl and cost even more than the original thick leather used to! I have a Coach duffle sac that I bought almost 20 years ago that still looks brand new. You can't find quality like that these days.

So anyway, I have about 30 prs of Borns that are too big for me now. Sure, the boots and closed shoes could be worn with thicker socks but the sandals and heels? Wahhhhh!!!

my feet are smaller too. I used to wear a 9 now and 8.5 or sometimes a 8. My rings got way big I almost lost my wedding ring one night which was not good

After my first round I had to throw a lot of my shoes away....Didn't realize how big they were until my husband said it sounded like I had flip flops on....OPPPS!

Yes wearing knee-high boots off the shelf was a big one for me...not having to special order them!!!!

Yeah I did, I bought a really expensive pair of cowgirl boots last Oct that flopped around on my feet during the winter, I need to soak them in water I guess to try and shrink the leather. I went from a 9 wide to an 8 med

I usually wear a size 8-1/2 to 9, but I went shopping about a week ago and bought my first-ever size 7-1/2s. So weird! Are my feet shrinking that much, or is there now vanity shoe sizing?

I know! I've bought Borns there a few times. They actually have that style that I posted the cheapest around. Still not cheap enough for me right now, lol!

I'm a fan of Born shoes too Great quality + comfortable (I'm on my feet all day) and still stylish (no way I'm wearing "sensible shoes" so these are as sensible as I can get )

Congrats on your losses! Well, I don't have any Borns that look like THAT pair, lol. I have mostly clogs, sandals, and loafers. I DO have a heeled pair of mary janes with the tags still on that my puppy chewed the heel off of.
