New start
Well, I don't get to be a firecracker (love that). I was not prepared with my stuff, and then I realized that I have blood work that has to be done (fasting). Very important to me, this blood work, because it's for nursing school. I was scared of fasting and taking the HCG that I may come back with positive for pregnancy or something. I probably should not worry, but better to be safe than sorry.
Anywho, I will start right after my blood work is done on Saturday morning (9th). The only thing is I might wind up doing some of this during my vacation, which will be very hard. How do you get your meat NOT cooked in any kind of oil or butter? Is deli chicken breast an option? Probably, it's blended with fat. Any suggestions? Ha, maybe I'll just do a bunch of apple days. LOL!

The non-stick skillet was my friend in P2! Also it's summer so bbq'ing is great. Broiling or baking for seafood and chicken Welcome and good luck!

re-reading it; I guess I should have specified "when eating away from home". Has anybody done this during vacation? I will be away for 3-4 days at the end of July.

Grilling is great this time of year. I do a lot of P2 Chili. A nonstick pan is great or the nonstick aluminum foil. I always use the aluminum foil when I broil in the oven especially for fish.

If you're talking about food that you can travel with, I often go with hard boiled eggs, or cooked beef patties or chicken breasts. If you are talking about food that you can order out, plain salad and chicken breast with lemon wedges or red wine vinegar on the side, plain beef patty or steak with a side of veggies, no oil or butter. A lot of restaurants will accommodate your diet--just tell them you are diabetic.

there are lots of posts floating around on the topic. Should start saving someplace to copy/paste because I end up writing the same long paragraph like once a week.

The plan will be to do Simeons protocol until Vacation time. Then, I will do Omaha Weight Loss plan while on vacation. I think it will be more accommodating.
I will definitely asked for grilled everything, but I am darn sure they're going to use some oil in there somewhere. Wine vinegar, oh yeah, that will due! Thanks everyone. I just don't want to delay anymore. Silly thing is, I have stopped "watching" what I eat because I know I am going to go very strict for a while, and I lost 4 lbs. So stupid! My body is totally alien to me nowadays. |
