This question is for the people who stay on P2 a long time.

If you plan on staying on p2 a very long time.. what do you do when your body starts to be really hungry? Is that when a refeed day is in order?

VLCD62 here. I don't have that hunger yet. My body has adapted well to the protocol. I did a refeed about a month ago, concerned because I was up a few lbs when in essence it was TOM water retention. The refeed set me back over a week and actually CAUSED hunger rather than alleviate it.

Yesterday I felt starving. I dont know what it was, if it was my body tricking me or what. But nothing i could eat yesterday would hold me over, so i upped my calories last night. ANd im up a lb due to water weight.

Usually when i have a cheat day or a refeed day, it takes me about a week to get back down to where i was before i did the refeed day... But I want to make P2 last as long as possible since i have alot of weight to loose... And frankly p2 can get a little boring.

Lilac you have done soo good. I'm on day 31 and lost 17 lbs, though i have cheated a few times... And cheating sets you back. But over all, 17 lbs in 31 days is awesome.. I just dont wanna set my self back with a refeed day, if over all it isnt going to help..

Refeeds are definitely a YMMV thing and I don't want to say anything negative about them other than MY negative experience. I recovered from doing mine obviously but to this day, I regret doing it and still wish I wouldn't have. It did absolutely NO good for me in any capacity - mentally, physically, or emotionally.

If I get hungry before my meals, I do try to drink more water. I had the munchies over the 4th of July weekend and I opted to eat pickles and apples because they were extremely low calorie, low carb, and no fat. I guess if you need to cheat, try to limit calories, carbs, and fat as best as you can.

I have 4.8 more lbs to go before I plan on P3. However, in light of my recent clean bill of health, and complete blood work showing NO ill effects from a prolonged round of hHCG, I am tinkering with the idea of staying on it for the rest of July. Not sure yet.

I agree, refeeds are too hard to come back from and not worth it. I'd never even heard of it untiljust recently and the very first thing that came to mind was is this just a reason to cheat? This diet works and if you go off plan it just costs time and pounds. After I cheat which is only once per round I always say to myself if I only had stuck to it I would have been at this point. Not worth the emotional roller coaster. Better to do short rounds if you can't handle long ones. As long as you don't gain in between which is really challenging sometimes. I would refer back to protocol and say of you're feeling very hungry drink water it's usually a sign of dehydration. Sometimes I would ask myself am I physically hungry or is it mental hunger that I'm feeling. Hard to tell... just thinking out loud. There will always be someone with another opinion. I can only express what I have experienced and often when I do theres someone in the crowd that will disagree. But thats ok I don't mind. Just as long as you know what's best for you personally.

But I don't want to forget mentioning I lost 31 lbs in 59 days doing Atkins Induction immediately before starting hHCG. Total loss since 3/7 has been 67.4 lbs. The difference of 3.8 lbs is the 2 days of loading weight lol.

OMG Lilac!! I scrolled up to look at your name a second ago because I didn't recognize the face! You look amazing!! Do you have a pic of before and after just in the face?

WOW!!!!!

I have been on P2 forever. I started in March, then went up to about the end of June and did like a modified P3 and didn't realize it..I just thought I was "cheating" so I went back into P2 a couple of weeks ago. I did have cravings, so I switched back to the first hcg I used and it helped. I am also using a supplement called Tone, which helps with the cravings like nothing else. Back on the road again!

Pumpkin! I was going to post a before/after pic on your before/after face pics thread but I wanted to be respectful and not hijack. So I won't do that here either lol, but I will go ahead and post it on yours, okay?
