I just learned of that terrible dust storm on July 5, 2011. I can't believe my eyes!

Are you all okay? What was it like for you? What are you going through? I hear there may be more to come!

I'm here, and it was kinda' cool! I drove home through it last night and it was similar to a snowstorm. I think our local weather forecasters were just so excited to get us on the news finally!

I don't think there was any damage, but I don't expect to see such a big dust cloud again. There is a LOT of dust out here in AZ and that strong wind just kept building I guess.

It was really cool to watch comming in. We were on the patio playing with the dogs and my husband said look behind you

It was like something out of a movie this ginormous wall of dirt was comming at us, we had just enough time to get the dogs and the cushions put away.
Now everything in the valley has a couple of inches of dust. This weather is really common for this time of year, and them we will get some rain

Well I'm glad it was "cool" and just an annoyance. What are the swimming pools like after that storm?? I guess they all have a nice beachy bottom to them now! I thought it was cool to watch, but I wasn't affected by it. I can' imagine the clean up now!

There was some damage...branches blowing off of trees and breaking/denting fences and windows and cars....8,000 people were without power for a while. It is pretty dirty out there these days!
