Hi girls! I'm a firecracker, too, but I started a day behind y'all (loaded July 4th and 5th b/c I had a party on the 4th, and continued loading with leftovers on the 5th). I gained 10.6 lbs. loading!!!!
Unbelievable! I sure hope to see a substantial loss tomorrow, because that is a quick gain!Today's menu: Brekkie: 16 oz. coffee + 1 oz. half-n-half +1 pkt. truvia Lunch: 7 shrimp (100g) + homemade cocktail sauce + 150 g. romaine lettuce + squeeze of lemon and drizzle of red wine vinegar Snack: gala apple Dinner: P2 chili + 8 strawberries It's 2:20 here and so far, no hunger at all today. I hope that continues! I have to go shopping tomorrow for more food, but luckily I had all of this available to me today (I had some 96/4 gd. beef in the freezer, thank goodness). Hope to report a big loss tomorrow...after all of this incessant peeing, I should be down a few! ![]()

Here's what I ateB: Tea L: 100 gr chicken, 2 c broccoli, seasoned with scallion, garlic powder, salt and pepper S: 1 grapefruit (it's a bit bigger than an orange) D: same as L and 1 grapefruit I drink lots of water, tea and artichoke water today Hopefully I see great result tomorrow. One strange thing I find is that I wasn't hungry at all in the morning and early afternoon but I got sorta hungry around 4. Cathy, I can't believe your body was able to drop 10 pounds of water (and other toxins) overnight! That is incredible! I'm sure you feel soo much better. You are on your way, girl!
Here is what I ended up eating today (I began this earlier, but I wasn't sure what Lunch and Dinner would be): B: 8 strawberries + coffee and chocolate stevia drops S: 1 melba toast + 1/2 apple L: "taco" salad (from night before w/ protocol approved seasoned taco meat) S: 1/2 apple D: Tomato Basil Chicken (from the cookbook Balance posted!) + 1 melba 120 oz water, 3 cups of coffee, and I'm preparing to have some yerba mate tea....LOTS of liquid and LOTS of visits to the bathroom . Hunger felt a lot better today, and I noticed a marked increase in energy after I took my 1pm dose. I am taking my doses 7 hours a part at 6 am, 1pm, and 8pm. I also picked up some vitamins today: biotin, magnesium, and a B-complex...should I get another "multi vitamin?" I wasn't sure if I really needed it b/c the b-complex had many of the same vitamins in it. Anyway, I am definitely interested to see how they affect my experience this round. Have a great night! Kay

We must have set some kind of record! ![]() Great job everyone! Shanna -- try to eat your fruit with a bit of your protein if you find it makes you hungry (I don't know if that's the cause for you or not, but I know it helps a lot of people).I'm finished with my food for the day -- had only 1 fruit b/c I never got to the store for the strawberries and we're out of everything else right now. I'll have to go tomorrow. Not hungry at all so far, which is awesome, since last time I was hungry for the first 4 days or so until I adjusted my doses. I'm hoping the scale is friendly tomorrow! I can feel every single ounce of that 10.6 I gained loading. Ugh. |

Well, I've made it thru the first 2 days with no cheats. Woo Hoo!
I'm home the rest of the week...that's going to be more challenging. I do have my kitchen well stocked, and stocked with stuff for the family - they are going to have to fend for themselves as I am not cooking for 3 weeks! Don't worry, they are 47, 14, and 11 - they can handle it! Down 1 pound today. 1.4 left till virgin weight. |

monkey you are such an inspiration! I'm excited to start weightlifting when I get rid of some of this weight! It used to be something that I was very into in my 20's.
Have any of you ladies ever used ground chicken on P2? I bought some for diversity because I don't eat seafood. Hopefully, I don't see a gain from it. Oh, and speaking of the scale... I'm down another 2.2 today!!! I ate 481 calories yesterday. My stomach was growling when I went to bed last night, but I knew that I would see a loss today so it didn't matter. Thinking of cottage cheese or a smoothie for breakfast this morning. Have a great day Firecrackers!! I hope all of you have losses this morning! ![]()

Down 1 lb this morning so all the load weight is gone. Now .8 more to go to get to LDW from last round and then on to virgin territory. Hopefully the hunger will be under control today. It wasn't too bad but I don't want to feel hungry at all.

Down 2.5 pounds to 154.5...getting closer to virgin territory every day...
Some of the bloating and "thickness" that had begun to creep back up on me is already starting to go away. Thank heavens. My thinking is that because the weight came on so quickly in June that it will also drop off quickly to get me back to the 145 that I ended at during my last round. But that isn't based on anything other than "unofficial" observances on my part. On the same token, I also know that when you get close to goal, it is MUCH more difficult to get there. I'm cautiously optimistic right now! |

Balance -- I love weight training
First, however, I am putting proper flooring in our gym area -- I think I am going to end up ordering it online for the best deal -- and that is going to happen straight away. |

Weight myself this morning and was so excited that I lost 4 lbs (including 3 lbs gained during load).
I don't know if you guys already have this recipe or not but I still want to share. I modify it from one of my favorite salad recipe to make it HCG appropriate. Vietnamese chicken cabbage salad thinly shredded cabbage ( i used 1/4 of a cabbage head) 100 gram or 3.6 oz shredded/ sliced chicken thinly sliced onion (i used 1 small onion) lime or lemon juice from one whole lemon or lime salt, pepper, stevia to taste thinly sliced fresh herb (i used those from my garden: mint, lemonbalm, cinnamon basil and some other Vietnamese herb) Mix everything but the herb and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Add herb before serving and enjoy. |

Good Morning Firecrackers..
Great job Paula, Mariah, Minimo, Kay, Lisa, Raven, Balance and Gooey!! Sounds like we are all moving and groovin.. R3P2VLCD-D3 I was down 2.4 more this morning, so I think things will settle into the lower numbers now... (I was not truly expecting another 10 this morning, but it would have made this quicker) haha... nope! No such luck! But I will take it as it comes, my punishment for losing control of myself again... Lets rock this week! |

I am also down 6lbs! I still have 3 lbs to lose before i hit "virgin" territory. I gained a big 9lbs loading which i was upset about, but im feeling ok except im starting to get cold, which is a good thing! It's really weird to be cold down here in South Florida in the dead of summer but it's like a built in AC! 6lbs in 2 days of vlcd~I'll take it! Loading weight--BE GONE!
My stats- R3P2VLCDday#3. Im doing a 21 day round this time. Hopefully break thru a major set-point this round. I have lost 50lbs in 2 previous rounds. Lets do this, girls! |

Morning ladies!
I lost 6 lbs. after Day 1, but it's nothing to cheer about yet -- I was the one who gained 10.6 lbs. (somehow -- still don't know how) during loading, so the cheering will have to wait a few days until I get past my load weight. Have a fabulous day! |

Wow everyone is doing terrific!
I am SO SO hungry today. Take the past 2 days and double it basically. Trying to remind myself that hungry days are almost always followed by great scale days. 2 VLCD days over, just 21 to go! Gooey that recipe looks great - I don't mind mixing veggies, and folks can always use onion powder instead if they don't want to. Scrumptious looking! I'm also definitely getting the cold thing...so I know things are working. Can't wait to take a nice hot swim this afternoon...supposed to be 100 degrees today.

Wow, congratulations everyone on all the fantastic losses!! I wish I could report the same thing, but I was only down 0.6 this morning for a total of only 1.8 (today is VLCD3). I gained 3 lbs loading so I haven't even lost my load weight yet. I'm not cold at all, and I'm VERY hungry - I know everyone is different but I am very discouraged already. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have been exchanging one fruit for an extra vegetable since I am a Type 2 and want to watch the glucose, but otherwise I haven't done any "tweaking" - sigh...I guess it's still more than I would have lost on Atkins. Keep calm and carry on!
