New & need help-going away on days 21-26 of first round :(

Hi all--I need some advice here of what to do with my situation. I will be starting my first round of HCG on Saturday (will probably get it on Friday in the mail). Unfortunately, I HAVE to travel to CA for my son's junior Olympics for water polo at the end of this month and into August (I will be leaving on day 21). My mom and I will be staying in a regular hotel with no kitchen. I just can't see how I could realistically stay on P2 while I'm there.

I have about 30 lbs to lose and I obviously won't be anywhere close to that when I leave on day 21 but what are you thoughts on me doing the 3 days without drops right before I leave and then doing maintenance while I'm in CA and then come back, continue maintenance for 2 more weeks and then start another round of drops to lose the rest of the weight?

Do I have to wait the entire 3 weeks of maintenance if I know I am going to start another round? I saw someone say you can start after 2 weeks of maintenance but I want to make sure I do it right and don't make any mistakes.

Thanks so much for any and all advice!

I can address the travel part.
I lived in hotels working conferences for 30 days of my P2.

When I first got to the city - I found a good market and bought a dozen apples and some melba toast and wasa crisp bread. I also brought my own low carb protein powder and a shaker cup.

Each day at 9am and 4pm I had an apple and the bread. For lunch I ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken minus the cheese or croutons - lemons on the side - or similar with a tuna steak. Dinner was often filet mignon or broiled lean fish with some sort of steamed/roasted veggie - especially asparagus. Once I did a lean burger with tomato slices. I focused on the company, not the food. If the chicken breast was large, I tried to eat about half, but on the days when I walked ALL DAY LONG, I ate it all, and I never sweat the veggies.

Everywhere I went I had my thermos of water and I always had stevia and some apple/berry tea bags in my purse. Oh, and I had a teaspoon of real milk in my coffee every morning.

PS: Call the hotel ahead and tell them you NEED a mini-fridge in your room for medical necessity - can then keep apples, HCG, and leftovers in it.

PPS: When you have no appetite to speak of, you'd be surprised how easy it is!!

Thanks for all your tips! If I were going to be by myself, I would probably be able to do all that but I will be with my mom who is looking at this like a vacation for us and I just can't expect her to live like that on "vacation" for 5 days. It'll be bad enough to be following maintenance but doing all that other stuff would really be hard. I am totally dedicated to doing this but I also have to be realistic. Not to mention that we will be running around all day long to different games all around San Diego. I just don't want to set myself up for disaster and I feel like it might be more realistic to do maintenance while there. Thanks again for your advice!!!

Meant to ask you--when you ate the chicken or burger out, did you ask them not to use any fat or oils or did you just eat it as is? If you ate it as is, did you find that you still lost ok? If that's the case, maybe I could do this while I'm there

Just trying to figure out what would be worse...stopping P2 on day 20 and moving into maintenance or continuing P2 with some minor "disturbances". Thanks again!!!

It is not ideal to stop before the 21 vlcd but if you have to you can treat it like an interuption but eat clean and don't add in any sugar or starches then when you get back home resume P2. Also stop your drops while you are away, if you can get 20 days in stop the drops but you still have to do the next 48 hours of 500 calories to get the hcg out of your system.

WOE: hHCG Simeons Protocol
It IS possible to be traveling and doing protocol. I stuck to protocol while on vacation and it was pretty easy. I had filet mignon that was served in 2 4oz portions with asparagus, saving one for lunch the next day served with a salad of lettuce, a few cukes, and lemon juice. I also had grilled chicken and fresh tomato. Coffee, tea, and water. Most importantly I think is to remember taking your hcg, otherwise hunger may be an issue and food would be missed even more.

I have found restaurants to be most accommodating when called in advance, and friends/family to be very understanding of "No thanks, I'm on a diet."
