Checking in with a gain of 2.2 lbs since yesterday. I am still within my window, but barely. The good news is that my blood sugar is back down from 150 to 134 and I hope to keep it coming down. I also have things working again in the intestinal department and am back to normal there. Ketones were mid-range at 40 this morning, so I am definitely burning fat, not sugar.
I have lots of theories about what caused this gain, but will just keep on experimenting with various mixes of proteins, carbs, fats and calories and see what works best for me. I put the rest of the chicken in the freezer for now because I suspect that it was interfering with my insulin utilization. I lowered my protein intake and upped my veggies, ate the fat from the steak (which I don't normally do) and used 1 Tbsp coconut oil to cook the bok choy/onion mixture I had at dinner. According to ******, I was eating 450 fewer calories than I burned and only ate 17 g net carbs, so I am just going to try keeping my protein down to no more than 4 oz for each of 3 meals, up the veggies at every meal (no more than 20 g total for the day), and see what happens tomorrow. I WAS slightly dehydrated yesterday, so pushed the water and some of this might be water weight. Am still working my way through the basic allergy kit and that might account for some of the shifts, also. Hard to know which is causing what. ![]()

1moretry, I hope you get it figured out. Congrats on the lower blood sugar numbers!
ONe good thing about this protocol is that it is fairly ease to find the problems and correct them immediately. Any other method was "I better not eat much until I lost X amount of lbs back." I love, love, love HCG. It has been kind to me sense the last injection but I am eating "clean".This morning I woke up to the exact same number .... 172 I gave my body a rest over the weekend from working out. I have found when I do my body responds well. I am back at it today. Happy 4th everyone! May God bless America and each of you ![]()

DD and I went to Downtown Disney last night and each had a Mickey shaped cake pop. Mine was red velvet mmmmmmm
--his ears were two marshmallows hmmmmmm!!! The scale moved -.4 despite sugar and heat, so I'm thankful![]() ![]() Red, You know, I only paid attention to the sugars in milk and fruit for the first week or so of P3. Ever since, we (dd and I) have as much milk and fruit as we want --it's the processed sugar that scares me but I love it sooo much![]() |

Good luck, Marocka!!!!! Enjoy that loading, and good luck in P2!
Up 1 pound today (which is a good thing -- still under my window, but only by .5 now). Must have been the CreamCheeseGasm that I made yesterday!!! Today, getting ready to put ribs on the smoker . . . low and slow, yum! I voted for Memphis Style (dry) vs. Kansan City Style (wet/sticky) ribs, just to get the sugar content down. We'll hope for the best!!! I'm going to try to make the rub SF. Have a great day, everybody!!! |

Oh man! House guests and holiday party were NOT good to me! Really I should say I was not good to myself through these things. Up a whopping 6 pounds over LDW this morning
I didn't weigh yesterday (mistake #1) so I don't know how much of that was from the party and how much was the day before. Still have too much crap food in this house today but I'm determined not to go near it.Eating clean and really upping the water intake today (I probably haven't had over 50 ounces any of the last three days. I'm sure that hasn't helped Just got caught up on last week's thread - sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I'm definitely going to have to try those ricotta pancakes sometime. I hope the stabilization continues to go well through the holiday for you ladies ![]() |

Happy 4th of July - Marking my spot, weight is stable. I have been looking at P3 friendly sweets, I think I will try them, but slowly as I don't want that hidden chocolate monster to come out and take over

Day 1 of P3...weight this morning exactly same as last two days, so I will use this weight (150.00) as my LDW.
Had bacon, eggs w/ cheese & tea for breakfast. Trying to up the calories to around 1800 today and see what the scale does tomorrow. |

You didn't just say the words, "toast with butter," did you? You didn't just say, "chocolate chip cookies," did you? No, that would be too evil. I'm sure I just imagined it. |

I avoid it now because of all the artificial stuff in it -- but that's just me! I think it could be P3-legal -- test it out and see if your body reacts to it. |

we ate SF pudding in p3 -- you can also buy it ready made, Jello brand, that is sweetened wtih xylitol--boston cream pie is my fav. My favorite p3 treat are xylitol brownies-- I posted the recipe a while back. Its all flax, no wheat flour and I used about 1/2 to 3/4 xylitol and the rest splenda-- took them to church and nobody knew they were healthy

Good morning everybody :-)
I had to keep checking the title of the thread - thought I was in the wrong one with the P2 talk. (so sleepy!) Didn't even weigh yet. Think I'm back down. I ate less yesterday - and smart. HB eggs, salad with blue cheese, steak and salad. I think I'm back down to "normal" I have realized that I'm P4-tarded. Being culinarily challenged, (yes, I made that a word), I think I got in a rut with P3. I'm still very shy of carbs and sugar. And that's good, I suppose, I never had to do a correction day. But, at the same time, I'm supposed to be incorporating in some sugar and carbs now. I have fallen head over heels in love with agave syrup - so I use that, but don't experiment around a lot. Gotta fix that. I mean, I can HAVE corn, a baked potato, a full glass of milk. And I, (like so many other things on this diet), just feel so SURE I will gain from it!!! I need to read more. To me, if I have a WHOLE lotta butter with my eggs, and then I make some breakfast potatoes with those eggs and bacon - it's all goin' back on the butt!!! Clearly there is an art to P4 that I need to learn. My subconscious is so convinced that carbs and sugars, (even the naturally occurring ones, of which I have small amounts), are from the devil! ![]() ![]() Off to get more coffee - glad to have you all here!! |

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I have been doing full glasses of milk the whole P3. I didn't know it would be a problem lol Eat some potatoes for meeeeeeeeeeee!! I could go on P4 on Sunday but have decided to stay on P3 for a while longer. I am stable now for three days at exactly 172 and not moving even an ounce.

Checking in with no change in my weight this morning, blood sugar up slightly, but within normal variations. My energy is very low today, but so is my husband's and I think it's because we both did another one of the vials in the allergy kit last night (this one was for sugar and Vitamin B, so it makes sense it would affect our energy levels).
I am also pretty tired of trying to figure out what works and what doesn't, so am going to keep my protein at around 4 oz per meal (3 meals a day) and do low carb veggies for the rest of P3. I have lots of steaks in the freezer if a CD is needed, but I hope to be stable, even if it's a tad above LIW, as I am now. I was really trying to see if I could get my blood sugar to come down some more, but maybe that is leveling out, too, and I may have to wait for another round of P2 to see if that helps. Only time will tell. Sigh. Seems like such a long road to travel, but when I consider the alternatives, it seems like I just have to accept that and keep on keeping on. ![]() |
