Hi all --

Yes, riding is fantastic exercise, and some of the most accomplished equestrians I knew were in their 60s and beyond... so it is definitely something that is not reserved just for the young. Cheryl, I hope you are able to start taking lessons

Cat--- you can do this... I know you can! It definitely sounds as if you have some severe food sensitivities! I hope you get into a groove and find peace of mind and body.

Balance -- I am a big monkey fan, and my favorite inanimate object in all the world is a sockmonkey (named Socketwrench).

Well, my pellets are waiting for me at the post office, so I will pick them up in the morning -- hurray!

I actually did fine with the drops today, though... I have two partially empty bottles left over from prior rounds, and it seems the one I used today may still be potent.... I didn't even think about food until 5 pm ! I ate a protocol dinner, and then had a great workout... added a low carb protein shake because I hadn't even made my 500 calories.... wow. I feel great at the moment... a tad hungry, but nothing unbearable.

I will still switch over to the pellets, but I was surprised how easy today was. In general, I will be eating more calories too -- but I decided to roll with this today and hopefully jumpstart things. I'm still on TOM, and still bloated, so I am not going to sweat what the scale might have to say tomorrow.

I have schoolwork to do still tonight, but thought I'd pop in and share my day 1 victory. Now, if the rest of the round could just be this easy, I'd have that six-pack right in the bag!

Hello ladies
My dancing class went really well last night and I had so much energy I could have carried on well after our class was over. Everyone was drinking energy drinks and I had to laught to myself about how programmed everyone is and how they are so quick to judge us when it comes to a low carb life style I respect other people's opinions and it just doesn't seem to be reciprocated. I simply don't care if you are vegan or zero carb or low fat or whatever if it works for you? thats great. This is what works for me. On low fat it never ceased to amaze me how I was always hungry and on low carb I eat two reasonably sized meals and I am good to go. I am busy writing out a maintenance plan which includes protein and veg and a little bit of low fat dairy, but this will work for me for life as I simply cannot handle sugar or starches. It is a trigger for me. Even fruit just makes me crave more fruit. This has taken me ages to figure out and thanx to this site I know I am not alone, thanks to you wonderful people I can rant and scream when I feel overwhelmed and miserable. Everyone here is great and I wish I lived closer.
I am emotional this morning, sorry for that. Love you all and have a great day

You are just like my twinsister...she had a huge monkey collection growing up, and her favorite was a hand puppet monkey named Makash.

I think I used to be one of those sheeple too, so I try not to let their opinions get to me. Life is a long learning experience.

You are totally right...it's one day at a time. Don't need to worry about the future, just handling today.

VLCD 1 went pretty easily am down 1.2 pounds, which is the load weight. I can't wait to get to fresh weight (2.4 more pounds).

Just a quick note to say hello to all my rogue-ish friends. I am still in P3 maintaining and will be for the rest of the month.

I have not weighed in a couple of days since I felt a bit bloated from the weekend. I will weigh in tomorrow after a couple of clean eating days of 1700 calories. This should make up for any indulgence from the holiday. I really didn't pig out or anything - just ate small amounts of a few 'forbidden' items. I couple of chips (no really, just a couple) and small piece of chocolate cake.

I also did some low carb baking - I made the coconut flour cupcakes on Candices lc blog. Very delicious. I needed some dessert to bring to the party that I could eat. I would recommend the recipe to anyone looking for a tasty lc cake.

Don't have time to read all the posts - so congrats to the losers and to those who need it.

Happy mid-week!

Well, that's more like it.. I am down 2.2 this morning! It's period bloating going away, but I'll take it! About 10 more lbs to goal, ladies -- I am thinking I should be able to do that in one round, all things being equal. I think I still have some period weight to shed, too -- TOM is still here -- but that was definitely the worst of the bloating subsiding.

Tracyann -- once I start my pellets, I will let you know if I see a difference. I've done well with the drops so far, but they do seem to lose potency rather quickly... and people do seem to love their pellets. (The quote is from A Leonard Cohen song -- glad you like it!)

Still feeling good and not starving this morning, so that's really encouraging. I have a rather long day ahead of me.

Happy p2ing everyone, and may the whoosh fairy grace you all!!!

I skip the fruit and melba and eat extra protein. This round I'm also eating a serving of yogurt a day. Keeping my calories at 500-600, and using lotion, etc.

Congrats to all the losers and to those battling a gain...it won't be long to relose I hope!

Morning Rogues...
So after skyrocketing over 10 lbs with 3 days more or less of loading.. I was down a full 10 lbs this morning! In one day, yesterday 174.4, this morning 164.4... I knew it was water... I felt like my skin was being stretched, and I am still way over where I ended last round, but hopefully it will come under control again! I was 100% on plan yesterday, which for me is a feat in itself. I have a tendency to "nibble" and I am not going to do it this time.... Heres to getting rid of 10 in one day...

+ 1-1/2 lbs this a.m. .... and I know why!

I fell off the wagon big time yesterday. It was almost like another loading day for me - I'm lucky I didn't gain more.

But I am energized this morning and ready to get back on that horse and ride it to goal!

Thanks Ladies, but its not nice that it goes on that quick either. I can eat bad for one day and gain 10 lbs.!! I am seriously allergic to carbs and I love them to no end!!! If I did not gain that much in one day, it would be AMAZING to drop 10 in one day, although my normal next day binge water weight drop is like 6 lbs.... UGH!! I hate my lack of self control!!

Started R7P2 yesterday so I'm marking my spot here because I am rogue, modified, altered, tweaked ... whatever term you like ... with my hhcg plan. Dropped about 30 lbs last year, 50 lbs total if you count the two month on low carb prior to hhcg and I do count it all! LOL

Crept back up 10 lbs since then so gotta get that back down and get to my lowest point of last year which was 201. Heading for 140-150 lbs however long it takes!

Rock on, peeps!

Morning everyone! Ahhhh! I am so far behind on reading everything! Just wanted to check in-still stabilizing, doing ok. Hugely busy week...

Party was ok. Not as many people as we thought. Had one couple show up TWO HOURS early!! Gah! I HATE that-so rude!! It was all over by about 11:15, in bed by 11:45.Whew!

Yesterday was cleanup, a little office work. More sewing for the wedding. Turns out the jr. bridesmaid's dress was at least a size too big (told them!!) and one bridesmaid's dress was too small, so got those fixed up last night and this a.m. Taking them over to have them re-fitted. Then, off to Seattle to pick up the bride's aunt at the airport (ugh. A whole day trip).
Tomorrow my stepsister and her family will be here for dinner, rehearsal/reception hall set up on Friday (along with our anniversary), wedding on Saturday. I will be so glad when this week is OVER!!
I will try to check in again tomorrow!

KUTGW, everyone!! Welcome to the newbies!!

Or just head back into P2 before it get any worse.

I have one event left this summer which is my son's college graduation but it will be low key and I can stay on P2 during it or a high protein refeed. I welcome any ideas.
You're so cute. I vote for starting now. You will feel cruddy every day between now and the time you get that weight back off, so get it off as soon as you can. The high-protein refeed at DS's graduation sounds perfect. I'm sorry you went up so much, but you know darn well a lot of that is water. I'm glad the wedding is done! How did it go? Do you have a picture you can post?

Cheryl, it is great exercise. I really enjoy it; but hardly have anyone to ride with nowadays. Seriously thinking about joining up with a stable just to get some riding buddies. There's lots of women my age that still ride.
I think that sounds like a very good idea, to find riding buddies. I'll bet there are others out there who are in the same boat as you are. Where I live, there are places that offer riding lessons but I've yet to find a place that offers riding just for the fun of it. That would be where I would want to start, then I'd like to take lessons.

Wow, Cathy -- that kind of weight swinging is just insane! Have you been tested for gluten sensitivity? Have you considered that you may have systemic candida? The cravings, plus the reactivity, do point to some sort of allergy or other systemic condition in my opinion.

In any case, glad that load weight is GONE!

I think I'll be looking at around 1000 calories today -- I think I may zigzag between 500-1000 this round, just to keep the body guessing. Also going to be getting all my calories in early in the day, because I have a busy evening... so I will get a bit of an intermittent fast in there as well.

No workout today, except that I am about to take a walk to the post office for my pellets and run a few errands, which will amount to a little more than a two mile walk.... I am going to decrease the frequency of the intense workouts a bit while on p2 -- that will give my muscles more of a chance to recover, and hopefully offset the lower calories a bit in terms of energy and such.

In past rounds I have lost well on 1000 cals, so I hope that holds for this one as well.

Stay strong everyone -- I am off to get some pellets!

Those silly people, gulping down loads of sugar for their immediate "rush." You know better and I'm glad. It's good that you are aware of what your triggers are. We all need to be in-tune to that. I won't be riding anytime soon, but it's one of those things that I know I want to do again.

I should add that the decreased frequency will probably still amount to 4 truly good workouts a week -- 2 cardio, 2 strength.... but I will make sure I take more rest days in between. I think I need to do this anyhow, since I tend towards wanting to overtrain when I get on a roll.

Oh, muscles.... it is time for you to emerge into the light of day....

You are totally right...it's one day at a time. Don't need to worry about the future, just handling today.

VLCD 1 went pretty easily am down 1.2 pounds, which is the load weight. I can't wait to get to fresh weight (2.4 more pounds).
Sheeple! I love that. So fitting, too. Yes, you got that right. Life is all about learning; what to do and what NOT to do. Just about the time we get most of it all figured out, we have to leave. I'm glad you got the load weight off so quickly! Now, on to new lbs!

Hey, Pat. I've been to Candice's site and she sure loves her sweets! Good ideas over there if you need something for a party or special occasion. I hope your plan to not weigh for a few days turns out to be a good one. You might need a CD, woman!

I just read your new siggy. I didn't even notice it! Thanks Stacy, for pointing it out to us. I like it, too. Good luck with your pellets! I hope they treat you well!

That's just plain FREAKY. Cathy, that must be terrible to go up and down so much so fast. It's nice coming off that rapidly but going on that much in such a short time must be a nightmare. I know that you had lots of tests and such done when you got home from Jamaica, but did they test your kidney function? I hope there's nothing truly wrong, causing those wild fluctuations in your weight.

I fell off the wagon big time yesterday. It was almost like another loading day for me - I'm lucky I didn't gain more.

But I am energized this morning and ready to get back on that horse and ride it to goal!
Well, at least you got some energy out of it! I once did a refeed hoping for renewed energy and it didn't work. It set me back a full 10 days, too!

Crept back up 10 lbs since then so gotta get that back down and get to my lowest point of last year which was 201. Heading for 140-150 lbs however long it takes!

Rock on, peeps!
Congrats on the cumulative losses from LC to Hcg! I lost a chunk of mine on Atkins before Hcg, but I put some back on during the latter part of last year. No sense crying over spilled milk! That's all behind me now and I'm moving forward with great pleasure!

Maureen! You poor thing! Way too much going on in your world lately. You must be running on pure adrenaline everyday. Who is this that's getting married? Seems you are taking on the lion share of the responsibilities! This too shall pass!

Mini, I hope it works out the way you want it to!

I am down another 0.2, which is frankly just a tease. I know I'm at some kind of prior set-point but I am so ready for a whoosh! So far today (having slept REALLY late,) I've only had some strawberries so I could down all my vitamins and supplements. But I may do some research on that thread that talks about the different CD's and see if I can do one of those today (as opposed to just an apple day to get things moving.)
