watch your spices for sugar and/or starches, but yes, spices are widely used

Also, use chicken or beef broth (fat free), canned tomatoes (sugar free)

Don't you love the excitement of something new?

Also check the melba toast for added sugars I found sugar in the ones I was eating so I switched to some grissini that didn't have any.

As Lisa said check for the added sugar in the spices, I used to buy my spices in bulk but there wasn't any listing of what was in them so I paid more and buy the ones in the bottles so I know exactly what I am getting.

Argh! I bought some Hooter wing sauce because it had "no sugar" in it, but down the it's list of ingredients is none other than BROWN SUGAR!! How is that even possible?!?!

I will just have to save for another time.

I added some of your stuff to my shopping list.

You might want to add SweetLeaf flavored drops... it is great for your coffee, to add to mineral water, etc.

I find them in the health foods section @ my grocery store

Do you eat fish? I found some frozen individual portions and used those for something different to eat.

No, just canned tuna, which we can't have.

I am contemplating doing Omaha, since it is a little less restrictive and I think I'll get sick of just beef and chicken for 40 days. I don't want to do it if the losses won't be as great though.

One thing that I love to eat is crab leg meat. I buy it in the fresh fish section. It is 3 servings worth at $6 so that works out to $2 a serving. I add lemon juice and Old Bay Seasoning to it.

You said it!!! I was so ticked off, in P2, when I learned, AFTERWARD, that my steak rub, as WELL as my organic chicken broth BOTH had sugar in them!!

Another thing I used was powdered wasabi - for making wasabi sauce. But I used the powder to sprinkle over a tuna steak, and another time, just to mix things up, I sprinkled it over asparagus.

On P2 I ate TONS of spinach, (loved it sauteed in chicken broth), and TONS of roasted asparagus.
