YerbaMate Tea
Anybody that is doing HCG that also drank YerbaMate Tea? They suggest it in the Intermountain notes. I am debating buying it. I don't think they actually sell it, but my vite store does. It's sweetened with stevia, so it should be okay. It's supposed to help with cravings.

I drink it every day. I get it from Trader Joe's and it's just 100% organic yerba mate -- no sweeteners. Love that stuff!

I drink it daily too. I have a ceramic teapot on a candle warmer on the credenza behind my desk at work and every weekday morning I put one Yerba Mate teabag with 3 stevia tablets in the teapot and fill it up from the hot water spigot on the coffee machine. I then set it on the candle warmer and drink from it throughout the day. Yerba Mate is not supposed to be drank scalding hot, only lukewarm, and the candle warmer keeps it at just the right temp.
On the weekend I sometimes forget to drink it but if I do I will make it in a saucepan the same way and then drink from that. I have drank it as iced tea and while the color is really green and as my husband said "looks like sewage" the taste was really good. |

Ha! "Looks like sewage". Nice. I have to get my behind over to the vite shoppe to get some tea. Do you think it helps fight the hunger or is that all a load of malarky? Right now I have started without it, but when we finally get over that way, I will pick some up. I did not know it should not be scalding.
You candle warmer description was very zen! ![]() |

I drink a lot of it on protocol. If you drink it the way the south americans do, it tastes like an ashtray. They take like 1-2 OUNCES and brew, yuck! But if you drink it more like green tea with just a few leaves, and sweeten with stevia, I really like it! Definitely helps with hunger, especially when I drink it warm instead of iced.
I buy it in kilo bags from the local Mexican grocery store that has an imported section. |

I drink it pretty much daily, but I enjoy the Chai version. (Spiced, and sweetened w/ stevia). It's nice! I think it really helps with night time hunger. I buy mine at Sprout's, Whole Foods, or Vitamin Cottage.

I don't know about helping with hunger but I do Intermittent Fasting and I think it helps me during the day. Whenever I feel a bit empty that's when I reach for a mug of tea and it does help stave off the hunger pains but I don't know if it's the ingredients of the tea or just the warm sensation in my tummy.
