Suspicious that it is water weight; got up 3 times in the night! But I'll take it and thanks to HCG. I was beginning to wonder if I even had a clue or if I should go on over to the rogue thread.

Since I track my weight in my signature on the first of the month, I get to claim 148.5

Well, I'm off to closet shop, hope everybody gets a whoosh
Wow! Nice loss!!

Great job! I love the feeling of fitting into clothes that I haven't previously been able to get into!

Yeah!!

I'm down another 1# today! VLCD8, 10.4#s lost (6.4#s net)!! I'm feeling like I can see changes... I totally forgot to take my measurements when I started (doh!), but I can see areas are getting trimmer. Prior to starting HCG I had been running for a few months (stopped because I knew my energy level wouldn't sustain it), so I think my shape will be much different after this round!!

We are packing & then will hit the road sometime around noon or one... today's loss boosted me up! I'm going to try reaaaaaaally hard to stay on task this weekend!!

Down .2. Feeling very deflated today, but I think it is just PMS blues...trying to keep that all in perspective. I do have this incessant "ache" in my upper left quadrant. It feels like my gallbladder when the stone is blocking the duct, but yet it is on my left side where my stomach is. Just gonna eat my food without any spices for a day or so and see if that helps.

Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone. I am working this weekend and my hubby and big boys are going out of town...so, when I'm not working, it will be me and my 5-year old having some great bonding time. We plan to go see Cars2!

Mmmmm! I just had a P2 smoothie... delish! I might have to incorporate these more. Quick, easy, & no cooking required. Perfect for summer!

Phase 2 Smoothie

3 oz raw spinach
5 oz frozen strawberries
3 oz low fat cottage cheese
1 tbsp Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa
2 droppers vanilla stevia drops
Water

Looks like everyone is doing great! Down .5 again today for a total of 14.5. I think that I am really going to "believe" that this is working when I hit the 20# mark. Today doubts were nibbling at the back of my mind, wondering if my drops are working ~going through a crabby phase and I am getting truly hungry! I mean, I've lost 3 pounds since Monday, which is awesome, yet I find myself perseverating over these thoughts. Argh!!!!

P2 Chili

Here's one I found:

7 ounces tomatoes chopped
100g beef (extra lean ground beef no less than 96% or ground chicken would also work well)
1T + 1t Chili powder
1t paprika
1/2t cumin
1t Onion powder
2t Chopped garlic
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cayenne to taste

Brown beef in fry pan with 1t chili powder (If using steak mince then brown with a bit of water or stock and the 1t chili powder)

Put all ingredients in a saucepan and cover cook over low heat adding liquid when necessary until cooked, stir often. Add water or chicken broth if you like to bring to your desired consistency.

I like the flavor of P2 chili best when I used fire roasted tomatoes and let it simmer for like 2 hours...

Ok, heading out! Have a great weekend, ladies!!

Thank you! I will have to give that a shot. I've been eating the same thing for 31 days and its getting old. Havent had the chance to get some grapefruit at the market yet. I've really been enjoying my breadstick, lol.
Never thought I would say that.

I am making chili tonight, too. 100 degrees weather and all!
Maybe it will burn up some more pounds...

Down another .5 pounds. That's 4 days in a row!

Yesterday was a tough day because my family is in town and we had a celebration for my dad's birthday. There was a ton of pizza, cupcakes, cakes, chips, etc. at the party. I ate before hand and brought my water to drink. It was awkward being the only one not eating, and my dad kept staring at me. I am the "smallest" one in my family, and my parents think losing weight is bad. But no one said anything and I got through the night ok, even though I had to politely turn down offerings of food all night long.

My motivation was looking at my mom and sisters and thinking I don't want to end up like them. I know that's probably bad, but it's true.

Up 1 lb today. I know why though. I had to have off plan items such as cheese fried crisp and a low carb protein bar AdvantEDGE. Back on plan today and heading to fiance's later for a fun filled wknd. Taking a lot of food as he probably doesn't have stuff I eat there. That is ok, I got my CSA yesterday and am taking those veggies and others that need to be eaten.

I don't think it's bad to motivate yourself to not end up like the rest of your family. It's one of the ways I motivate myself, too. My mother was generous with her genes and unfortunately gave them to me. We were both slim in our youth and then the weight came on, especially after menopause. She and all of my siblings are obese, despite valiant efforts with Atkins and TOPS. She has maintained her weight within 5 pounds of her goal (which in my opinion is way too high) over the years, but her diabetes is worsening and I am not willing to go down the same road if anything I do can prevent that. The weight and diabetes are connected and I am working to correct both of them.

I think you did great at your dad's birthday party!

I do wonder why your family is so opposed to your losing weight. Maybe it's because they think it would make them have to look at what they are doing and they don't want to. KUTGW!

To all, I am very engrossed in adapting to P3 and haven't been here for a couple of days, but will be back in full force in mid-August. I will still put up the new P2 thread each week, just to make sure it's there.

-.5 lb today.
Scale was hovering between the 148.5 and 148. Closer to 148 though

Yesterday's menu:

low carb shake

P2 chili
melba toast

apple
1-1/2melba toast (too many, went to grocery store and got cravings)

Stir fry chicken strips (cooked with cooking spray in the pan)
Salad with vinegar for dressing
melba toast ( ! )

I know I'm not following protocol with the shake but it is low fat / low carb and has lots of fiber and vitamins. When I run out, I'll drop that from the menu.

Strangest thing; on Tues I said I didn't like apples. After my trip to the grocery store to get needed supplies I was really having cravings. I grabbed 2or 3 cameo apples and ate one on the way home. It was so good! Guess anything tastes good when you're having head hunger.

I don't think my hamburger is lean enough so I bought some lean stuff and actually weighed and separated it into baggies. I have been more diligent at weighing the last 2 days.

Going to the pool with my sister and will try to get out of going to the bbq they have planned later.
Hope everybody has a good weigh-in today!

Good morning! And what a wonderful morning it is! Every morning that I wake up to a loss is a wonderful morning, lol! It's shortly before TOM so I have had some wild fluctuations with water weight, but hit an all time low of 206 lbs this morning. Lowest weight in 19 years!

The P2 chili is the BEST dish, IMO!

I will be trying the smoothie today!

Diabetes runs in my family. My mom and her dad both had diabetes.
My younger sister is obese, and I think that my mom technically is, although no one knows for sure how much she weighs. 2 of my other sisters are overweight. Only one of my sisters (I have 4) is not overweight, but she exercises to keep her weight down.

As for the attitude towards losing weight, my parents think it is "stereotypes and social pressure" that dictate how women feel about their weight. When I tried to tell my parents I was overweight and needed to lose weight, they told me I looked fine and didn't need to lose any weight.

This chili has to be good if you're eating it on p3!! May I suggest grilling a nice hot dog split thru the middle topped with chili chopped sweet onions cheddar cheese and sour cream!!! lol

Woot! Way to go

Weigh in this morning: -1. Yesterday my pattern was all screwed up, didn't eat till 9:30 pm, missed my apple, and took my last dose at 11 PM. I usually take it at 8! Getting ready to dig into my chili~ what a great change from plain ol' chicken and cucumbers for lunch...Hope everyone has an awesome day!

Weight stayed the same today. I've decided to move into P3. Today is my last VLCD without the drops. Sorry to abandon the program, but I'm glad I made it the 23 days (two days more than my original protocol) that I did. I need to try and maintain for a while and avoid a binge at this point. My head isn't on straight anymore, and I'm thinking just a change could keep me from my worst. I'll return to P2 sometime in August.

I lost 26 lbs in 23 days....

Hello Everyone! I'm down another 1.6 - for a total of 18.6 pounds gone in only 22 days! It doesn't seem like it at all...this is by far the easiest plan I've been able to stick to and my body sure loves it! I'm going for the full forty days and only have seventeen days go to. I am truly amazed. Day #40 will be July 19th and my goal is to be 195 which is only twelve pounds and since this is been a breeze for me, I know I'll at least be under 200. I lose like crazy on low carb so I'm glad that Phases 3 & 4 are basically a liveable eating plan. Carbs aren't completely bad, but for me if I'm going to have oatmeal or something like that....I need to have it in the morning and make the rest of my day basically protein, veggies and maybe a little fruit or I show a gain.

My husband won't do hcg, but he's lost ten pounds in one month. One of my favorite quotes: "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Hooray for everyone! We're all a success!

Great accoplishment Lilac you should be so proud of yourself, you're almost in one~derland !!!!!
yes it is that good---especially topped with those toppings you describe---- p3 only, of course----i was wondering if anyone eats hotdogs or brats on p3---they do have a lot of sodium, i was thinking of those, but am a little afraid of the sodium content. we have home-made venison brats, that are so good grilled, i did eat them in atkins, but rarely, one does sound good on the grill over the 4th---i will have to try one, and see what the scale says the next day----

Yay Moontstruck! I am watching your progress as our stats are almost the same. I am a week behind you (started 6/18). Keep up the good work! I may go 40 days as well.

I had a deep tissue massage yesterday (I know it's not protocol, but I needed it), started TOM this morning and am still down .8.

I'm only .6 away from the 20-pound club.

Congratulations to all of us...we're all a success story.
