Oh man, I sympathize with you. I HATE it when this happens with my scale! When it happens to me, I usually just go ahead and record the highest reading I got for that day, in hopes that the next weigh-in will REALLY be a great number!

LOL I hate when that happens. I would record the lowest but understand that tomorrow might not be as low. One time I farted and got back on the scale and I weight one pound less, haha. true story. That day I told the cafetertia lady and made her laugh out loud.

Ya no more contests for me, I don't like people in my biz either lol except for embarassing stories, those are always fun.

A little update, still at same weight as Saturday's "meal interruption" lol but working on losing again. I'm on the 19 day countdown to p3 now.

Everyone have a great day!

I am up .4 today this is vlcd 25 so I think I will end P2 on June 30th as my weight seems to go down .2 then up .2 or up .4 so I think I will move on to P3, the 144 must be a set point for me so if I can stabilize on P3 and P4 at this weight it will be good.

I'll bbl...have a great day ladies!

Welcome TurnNburn, this is a great place for daily support and answers to questions.

LaraSuzz, I agree with 1moretry that it is probably not so much jealousy as fear of the unknown and assuming it must be "quackery".

vli1127- Wow, that is such a big difference in weights? I always weigh a couple times because my antiquated old scale can fluctuate a bit, but usually only by a half pound. It only measures in half lb increments but I will take what I can.
Today I got 170 on a couple different steps onto the scale with one at 170.5. I am grabbin' that 170 and runnin' with it!

***OOOPS--- sorry, guys, Snaggle here! I am using hubby's computer and just realized it when my picture didn't pop up. He is a new member and it automatically logged on with his acct.
I will go use my computer to update the stats.

Snaggle, It's ok I'm not concerned they really don't even know me at all anyway. Even if it was jealousy I don't really have time for that anyway. It's all good.

Here I am, back on my own computer. Sorry.
It is fun to have my hubby on LCF, but I need to remember that when I use his computer it automatically signs me on.

I am feeling good about hcg again after dropping 2 lbs in two days.
I am at the two week mark and will definitely complete the 21 day course, but may consider 28 days if I feel good and am losing.
The only side effect I have is some light headed-ness.
Does anyone have a supplement or other recommendation that might help?
Thanks so much.

I made these while doing Atkins Induction, and if you make them correctly they turn out really good and satisfy that need for faux-bun. They really don't have much taste, but IMO they are better and less messy than using lettuce to wrap a sandwich in. There is a learning curve to making them though, and it took me a few tries to get it down where they came out like they're supposed to.

I've used them before and they are definitely an aquired taste. You really have to rinse them well to get any fishy smell/taste out of them, and they seem to do better with certain sauces over others. In all honesty, if I had to choose I would go with spaghetti squash over the noodles though.

I would probably stick w/ the 196...and just know in your head that tomorrow if it's lower than 192, then today's weight probably was 192.

I will always get back on the scale if I do some business on the toilet lol. One time I had a 2-lb loss!

It's hard to keep on going when there's a stall, isn't it? I let that scale control my motivation way too much...and even when I'm doing everything right if that number isn't down I question myself so much. I know when that happens to me I really need to just accept that even when we do everything according to plan, there will be those bumps, and to keep on truckin' through and it will get back to coming off. (easier said than done though )

I am down 1.8 this morning! I really didn't expect that much since I had over 2lbs yesterday! So that takes me to -5.2 since starting P2

I have to say, I'm getting worried about the 4th of July holiday coming up. Sunday, we are coming back from camping and going straight to a friend's house. They're having a co-ed baby shower/4th party from noon till dark, BBQ'ing etc. It's going to be a big snack-fest. We will still have our trailer with us, so I know I can just get whatever I need inside...I'm just worried about tempations. Then the next day on the 4th, we are having our annual party...I will have more control over that, and plan to just have more celery, cucumbers, etc. to nibble on, but still...I don't want to derail myself by temptations

Hi....I am checking in after one full week on HCG drops and VLC. I am down 10.5 pounds, a good start. Even though I knew it would slow way down (as it has), it is still disappointing. How silly is that? I am trying to lose another 20 pounds in the next 5 weeks and am getting worried that I can't do it in time.
Right now it is my motivator to not ever cheat.

It took a full 4 days to get rid of the headaches but now I feel great. I started B12 drops and I think that has helped too.

Does anyone use any other sweetener than stevia? I looked at Truvia at the store, but that has three carbs per packet. I am trying to follow The Protocol as closely as I can, since it's when I start to try different things gets me into trouble.

Thanks fo all of this good information!

I'd go with 196...just so you aren't bummed tomorrow if the number is higher. I might also buy a new scale! I need accuracy!! (Yes, I'm just a tad bit anal)

I'm glad you are losing again I haven't experimented with supplements other than a prenatal vitamin (last round I had some hair loss-- trying to prevent that). Maybe somebody else knows... lightheaded-nes is no fun!

Nice loss!! I am going camping over the 4th of July as well... we just need to be prepared! I'm pre-making most of my meals, and planning on staying active the whole time!! It's going to be hard, but I can stick with it!! I KNOW my friend will have vodka, which is usually my fav. camping drink (I don't like beer). I will have to avoid the community snack table as well... it's going to take a lot of will-power, but we can do it!!

I am down 1.4 today (8#s lost, 4#s net) VLCD5. Trucking along...

I do use spaghetti squash and like it too. I have used shiritaki noodles before so I know about the rinsing and the weird smell and taste. I was just wondering if anyone was using them while on hcg and how do they disguise the flavor or smell and did it have an affect on wt loss.

that is a really good loss for a week, I am not sure why you are disappointed that is over a pound a day.

Question - does anyone know the reason why we are to eat only one of the veggie choices at each meal? Does anyone combine them? I don't see how combining some cucumbers or tomatoes in a salad would be bad...

That is how it's outlined in Pounds and Inches. I know the doc did a lot of research on hcg before he published it, so there must be a reason. You can add tomatoes to your salad, but you'd have to count them as your fruit serving if you are staying on protocol.

I just bought some biotin. I was reading another thread and someone (jabbok?) mentioned it's good for hair loss. Last round I lost quite a bit of hair (which I'm very attached to), so hopefully between the prenatal vitamins & biotin, I won't have the same issue this round. Fingers crossed!

I stepped on the scale 3 times in a row allowing the thing to clear before stepping on again and got that 192# again. Seemed like a huge drop. So, I did my 1 hr walk. I stripped down and reweighed and now it was 195.something. I peed and got back on 3 times but this time it was 191.8. Now, what number should I record for the day? I am leaning toward the very first number of 196 because I don't want to be disappointed. Normally, I don't hop off and on the scale hoping for the best number. I got on, let it cycle, and record that number period.
Nice drop, no matter which you go with...

I'm excited for you! I have been researching lowcarb recipes and am feeling pretty good about P3 now. I have been reading the P3/P4 thread, so I'll see how you are doing! Best wishes!

Nice numbers for your 18 days of protocol! What does bbl mean?

I am feeling good about hcg again after dropping 2 lbs in two days.
I am at the two week mark and will definitely complete the 21 day course, but may consider 28 days if I feel good and am losing.
The only side effect I have is some light headed-ness.
Does anyone have a supplement or other recommendation that might help?
Thanks so much.
Are you taking pottasium? B12? Good job on the 2 lbs!

Good drop! It will be mentally tough, but you can do it! Just remember, the battle is in the head, cause your body isn't going to be telling you it is hungry on this HCG.

Congrats on your first week success! Stevia is all I use, but I get the pure stevia. It took a while to get used to it, but it's great now!

Well, I must have really done a good job on P1 ... +4.5 lbs! But that is what the book recommended so I hope I don't struggle with too many hunger pains. Still, I'd rather see the scale go down

Black coffee in the a.m. as usual. Lunch today was chicken, broccoli and salad with a tiny bit of french dressing. The last 2 probably are not really supposed to be on this plan but I will have to adjust downward throughout the week. Water with a bit of crystal light.

Hungry? No, not really.

I have been reading the P3/P4 threads as well, I need ideas on what to make for meals P2 was easy that was because you could only have a few things. I need to be as organized for P3 as I was in P2 then it is easier to stick to things.

I am not sure of the reason, maybe I need to go back and reread P&I. However, mixing veggies is one of the rogue things I do. You may want to check out this thread too amylou.

I had never heard of the oopsie rolls, so went hunting for a recipe. I watched a helpful video on how to make them and am anxious to give them a try. I found so many good recipes in the recipe section of this forum....excellent!

Good morning, everyone! Checking in and up a lb this morning - TOM is just around the corner and knowing what to expect now makes it SO much easier to not freak out than exactly a month ago when each increase would cause me to have a mental meltdown.

VLCD54 for me, I am trying to hang in there to hit 199 lbs but now it looks like that will be a little over 60 days for me. It's important for me to hit that target as my LDW before moving on to P3. Oh well, when you've lasted this long, what's a few more days?

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have read your posts for a few weeks before starting this adventure and you all are so inspiring! I even found an excel chart that I downloaded.

VLCD2 for me. Down 2.5 lbs from the loading days. Not virgin territory but I'm OK with that. Went to bed early and slept really well. A bit head-achey today but I'm dealing with it.

I originally set my goal too high and it put me through an emotional roller-coaster every time I got on the scale and I could see my goal slipping away. The AVERAGE per day loss over a long round is 0.5 - 0.8 lbs, although some people do exceed that. I am "below average" and my weight loss over this round was 0.46 lb per day. I lost a total of 20 pounds in less than 7 weeks, which for me is spectacular. Each of us is different. Not cheating will tell you what your body is willing to do, and knowledge is power. Once I let go of my unrealistic expecations, I also got off the emotional roller-coaster they had put me on.

You are doing great, and yes, the losses will decrease over time, but that is part of how this whole thing works. It's a learning experience as well as a "losing" experience, so perhaps taking an experimental approach might be easier on those emotions!

Today is my last VCLD day before going to P3 tomorrow and so far I am holding steady at 0.2 above LIW. Am excited and scared about P3, and hope I won't be on yet another roller-coaster there.
