Hcg and Type 2 Diabetes

Are there any Type 2 Diabetics currently doing the HcG diet? I am newly diagnosed and wondering if I should give it a try.

Thanks.

There are a couple of us that I know about. I am Type II. My numbers are normal right now and am hoping they stay normal when I start phase 3. I am also having good success lowering my blood pressure. I think this program is great and am looking forward to following the next two phases to the letter so that I can change my setpoint and not have to worry so much about regaining. Good luck in your decisions!

My entire post got eaten. And it was a LONG one!

I've been type II for 4 years and my fasting glucose is normal now and I stopped taking my metformin and onglyza over a month ago.

My diabetic check up is next week and I am very excited to know what my A1C is. On 4/4 it was 8.8 and my doc was talking about putting me on insulin. 6.5 and under is normal. I am really hoping and praying that it has dramatically gone down. I don't see why it wouldn't have, based on my daily fasting numbers.

If you are considering doing hcg, my advice to you is watch your BS after you've eaten the fruit. If it rises too much, stick mostly to the strawberries as they are lowest on the glycemic index. Also think about doing away with the grossini/melba toast if you are sensitive to it like I was. I add the extra calories in my veggie or double up the portion of strawberries instead.

If you are looking for a diet that will have a MAJOR impact on your diabetes, this is the one for you! Not even 9 weeks of Atkins Induction lowered my blood sugar as much as 2 weeks of hcg did! Not even close!

I was pre-diabetic before HCG. My fasting blood sugar was always over 110. Now it's in the low 80's.

Thank you all for the information. I am really very grateful! If I don't see better blood sugar results soon...and results that stop fluctuating....I am probably going to try HcG.

My A1C results just came in. On 4/4 it was 8.0 and my doc was threatening to put me on insulin. On 7/1 it was 6.5 and this was after 60 days so far on hHCG. Proof that this diet works and works WELL for managing diabetes! I can't wait for the test in October, I hope to have it under 5.8 which is NORMAL!

I can't remember now but the test in October was either 5.8 or 5.9. Either way, the doc took me off all meds and couldn't believe how dramatically it went down.

Nowadays I don't check BS too much as I still eat relatively low carb and if I DO have carbs they are complex via grains and NOT sugar. If I indulge I will panic and test fasting BS the next day but it has always remained steady between 85-97.

HCG cured my Type II! I stand behind that statement and I honestly think my doc would to (begrudgingly, lol).

Keep in mind though, that I did two rounds that were LONG. The first one was 91 days and the second one was... errr I forget but it was over 60 days and less than 90 days, lol.
