Called my medical insurance yesterday...

to see if they had a doctor in their directory who is familiar with hcg. I don't want it injected in me - as I am just fine taking my pellets.

Anyway, the lady that answered said, "I don't know...what's hcg?"

She said "I could get a nurse on the line who may know" and I said..."that's okay" - "I spoke w/ an RN recently who was absolutely cluless."

I'm going to keep my primary physician as I've been her patient for years, but aren't there any doctors who know ANYTHING about hcg?

Yes, there are - but of course you're asking them to help you do something that is considered "alternative" medicine.... you may do better with a naturopath physician. In our state, they are considered N.D.'s - they are real doctors, they can prescribe regular medicine also.

Is there a particular reason you need a doctor while on hcg? I know a lot of us who are not even telling our docs about this. I certainly am not. They sure care that you get the weight off, but aren't willing to sit down and listen to how we are doing it. My doc has it right on her website "I do NOT prescribe any prescription medicine for weight loss". Therefore I don't even bring it up!! And I have a host of hormonal issues that she is supposedly helping me with LOL.

No there isn't....I feel great, no issues and my husband keeps telling me to let it go and leave things as they are. I don't need to tell my doctor everything and you are absolutely right. Thanks for the reminder.
