I couldn't make it thru the day today...had some 'snacks' - I walked about 10 miles today and got pretty tired. Still hoping for a good loss, but we'll see.

Gotta finish work and then go soak my feet!
Thanks, Paula.

Just wanted to share something I made for supper last night that turned out very good. My version of P3 pizza. For the crust, I cut zuccini (longways) and laid in the pan then spread organic pizza sauce, fresh mushrooms, sausage, banana peppers, green peppers and mozarella cheese. I baked it in the oven at 350 until the cheese was melted and the z was cooked but still firm. It was amazing!!!

I don't count calories, I try to eat to my hunger level, but mindfully. But everyone has their own preference and way to get to the same place, so I think it's a matter of picking what works best and is right for us long term.

2. what is your take on processed foods?
I think it is smart and healthy to avoid them as much as possible. But, for me, it can't be 100%, and when I can't get something I really need or want, (like sugar free instant pudding mix for chocolate shakes), I make an exception at times.

3. do I still do correction days like p3, same type of food etc?
I think so, yes.

4. if i have issues how long before I can go straight to p2. ( this is my 1st time) I am doing at least 3 or 4 weeks on P4, with a correction day if I go above LDW, then have to look at timing for another round

5. please oh please tell me I can have a piece of sf chocolate or ice cream. I need sugar something. LOL

On P4, yes! Why make your life difficult? I had my beloved agave syrup last night. My PERSONAL mission on P3 and P4 is to re-train my body that WE LOVE CALORIES, and to nourish and replenish vitamins and minerals that I may have lacked on P2, and to let my liver rest a bit, P2 can be rough on the liver. If I could have my dream come true on P4, it would be to allow me to eat 2000 - 2400 calories a day of the right foods, (no sugar, low carb), and have no gains - a new set point, and I'm always pushing that envelope!
I have been dieting off and on for a LOTTA years now. I've totally messed up my body's set point. I did it. Now I get a chance to fix it. I'm not going to mess that up. I don't know when I will be able to do another round.

Until then, I'm all about upping calories with healthy oils, avocados, all of that as much as possible - every day! Here's a hypothetical: I now have the chance to re-set my body's set point between 1600 calories a day and 2200 calories a day. I'm shootin' for the moon baby!!! But this is just my aggressive - all out - 'go for it' mentality. Everyone's body seems to have different "rules" that is specific to them. Make sense?

OK. WOW. Yum.

Know what? This site, and this forum, and the people here are so great. Maybe it's just me - but the recipe/shopping part - well - in my opinion it's not anything to write home about.

Dear Netrition:
If you merely paid ONE person to straighten up the site a bit and organize some recipe threads, and some threads from folks to talk about specific products - I'm telling you - you would MAKE THE MONEY BACK and more. (I have a marketing brain.....I always have ideas to make companies money....) Specific. Lots of sorting features. Quick. Easy. "Wow - I have to get some of THAT stuff!"..... Big blue button......CLICK........Cha CHING!!! See?

Sincerely
Red

There are other sites to talk about low carb, and diets, but none with the composite warm, empathetic, intelligent, supportive, unselfish people like here. Why not round it out with some good shopping information too? Just sayin'!

Ok - rant over.

Have a good day everyone :-)

I don't "count" calories but am mindful of them. Not eating totally messed up my metabolism before and now that it's fixed I don't want to go down that road. So if all I'm having is cottage cheese and pinapple for lunch (I hated cottage cheese before hhcg btw) I sprinkle a tbs or 2 of flax on it to make sure it has enough good calories. I also no longer skip meals! The exception being times like when I went to cheesecake factory and had a slice of wonderfulness with my lunch, I had an apple for dinner. I wasn't hungry and KNEW I had enough calories for the day
I try to avoid overly processed food, like no more "american cheese product" in my house I figure if we watch it a bit more at home that gives us leeway on the occasions that we go out.
I'm thinking that correction days (if needed) can be a part of my life forever now and I'm thankful to know a way to help after an overindulgence
My dd and I were having SF ice cream and candy about a week into P3 and it didn't affect us at all. YMMV, but we had it, and just limited ourselves --it's a life saver when tom is looming and cravings make you crazy
Hope you have a terrific P4!!!

Morning all. Yesterday was rough. You know those days that feel like you've accidentally only put on one shoe? Yeah, it was like that. Despite it all, I seem to be stabilizing in the 151-152 range which I am THRILLED about. Getting used to this new body is er...taking some getting used to. I'm eating in the 2000 calorie range and have added back in almonds, HWC and GY after the lasering. I am planning to try some legumes this weekend if I get the opportunity. Anyway, more exercise for me this morning. Have a good day...

Ok. P3 for me today. I declared my round over on Mon. Could not take it anymore. Here is what I posted yesterday elsewhere about this past week:

"Ok. I give up!! I get it!! I am done. I cannot do this one more day. You will not believe what I have been through in this short week. I have broken my toe, had to go to a funeral and have my eldest son to Urgent Care (a step below the ER) twice!!!! He might have mono, but it could be hepatitis. He is yellow (jaundiced) from head to toe. We cannot figure out what it is, so we went to the Urgent Care last night and we were so late that they could only do one set of blood work. Further testing had to be done today. And then those tests won't come back til next week at the earliest!! I am done, done done with this round. I give up--I cannot have any more of family getting sick. I cannot wait til dinner tomorrow so I can eat a real P3 dinner."

I feel like I have failed and am quite disappointed. But am quite defeated as well. It just seems that I cannot catch a break anymore so I need to hang out and just live "regular" for a while. See where that gets me. P3 starts tomorrow and I cannot wait!!!"

So P3 officially starts today at about lunchtime!! Yahoo!!!

Oh yikes, Dawn, that stinks! On all fronts! Yes, I would definitely be ready to "coast" a while in P3 -- take one source of stress off your plate until the rest of your life calms down. Hope they figure out your son's medical problem soon!

For me, up to 187.5 (partly because I think Bernice has left the country -- partly because of salty dinner) but that's 1.5 out of my window, so CD for me today! Good thing I have a lot of steak grilled and in the fridge -- steak day will be a breeze. Gotta go find a nice tomato . . .

More storms in the forecast here in CT -- this weather is rotten! Is it summer? or monsoon?

Have a great day, all!

1. Hey, we have the same BMR...am also 1740! I think most people dip it a little lower before introducing a grain, just to be safe, and then up it back if no problem.
2. I think calorie wise they are the same, but from a purely hunger standpoint, they never fill me up.
3. Yes, CDs you do presumably for the rest of your life, keeping yourself in your two pound window.
4. Depends on if you want to 'rogue' it and cycle faster to P2.
5. I've seen lots of people add a small scoop in. And sugar free chocolate...that's P3 friendly you know.

I'm pretty much an Atkins girl for life, although I'm considering adding some Southern cornbread in (no flour) next week if I can get my numbers stabilized. I'm on day 20.

Oh, I'm down 1.4 from my CD yesterday 135.8. That's one pound above LDW. I'm going to try to eat very clean and slightly below BMR today and lock in that loss this time. I know I had too much cabbage Tuesday.

Dawn welcome back to P3...sorry to hear about your son!

Still in my window, although up a bit.

It was a beautiful day yesterday, so I did some weeding on a 200 foot bank on the front of our property---it's a steep terrain and I can feel it in my muscles from head to toe! I'm sure there is some inflammation there...

My big P4 foods were bacon that has sugar in it, 2 ripe bananas and some cantaloupe--spaced throughout the day. Livin' on the edge, I tell ya. I know they are technically P3ish.

I have no desire at this point to eat a lot of sugar. Yes, Ben and Jerry's sounds good but I doubt I'll have any. If I was in a situation where I had no choice to eat starch and sugar, then I would not hesitate. I love LC foods so much, they satisfy me.

I was not in a good place this weekend. The stress is getting to me, but the big difference is that I am right back on plan and the water weight is off and took an extra lb with them.

Meeting my best friend from high school (she was my maid of honor in my wedding) who just moved back to this state for dinner. It will be so great to reconnect.....and I am thinking prime rib sounds good for dinner.

Just checking in - been crazy - I'm just at 2 pounds above LIW, seem to stay there (except of course when I go UP and then do a steak or CD) - I'm testing Ezekiel bread and doing ok for my first P4's - and I have reincorporated GY as my "dessert" and still don't have that dang laser delivered yet. Where the heck is it coming from!?! Hope everyone else is doing good too. I will try to catch up my reading and reply again when I can!

**edited*** I got through all the posts!
Peggy, sorry to hear you're stressed - have fun with your friend tonight
Dawn, you gotta take care of YOU - good for you, get you some protein! and mixed veggies!
Red, love your posts!
Shelby, Raven, Marocka, Paula, Catkin, Nancy, Beezer - good job keeping it OFF!
Porkfat, good luck with the CD today!
Cathy, I haven't seen a status update on you - just your nice reply to me - how are you doing?
Anyone I missed, so sorry - didn't take notes as I went through.

Sooooo, after not having a period since Feb 2010, guess what!? I am cramping and spotting. Hopefully it won't turn into a gusher since vacay is next week.

I forgot to tell about my new find. I have been looking for almond butter (with no added sugar), went to a store near me that had it where you grind your own, just almonds no fillers. While I was there I noticed these green beans in a bin. They are dried, ingredients are beans, sea salt and oil. They are fantastic, real crunchy, some salt taste and I use them like a cracker for dipping.

Sooooo, after not having a period since Feb 2010, guess what!? I am cramping and spotting. Hopefully it won't turn into a gusher since vacay is next week.
Dang the mail! Can't you just get a cat toy from a pet store or a laser from an office store?
Yay for staying in your window!
The cycle? Incredible! HCG is truly mysterious.

Sounds good!

I've had green beans like that -- my Whole Foods carries some -- and they are truly addictive! I can eat a whole container. Then I blow up like a pufferfish from all the salt --

I bought mine from Wal-Mart. Cat toy section. It looks like a mouse and the dog is quite enthusiastic. I asked DH where our bunches were and he had no idea so while we were grocery shopping I snuck it in the cart. Coffee was lasered on Tues morning--both the beans by themselves and then my usual cup of joe I have first thing in the AM. My eldest son things I am nutso They are now lasering each other saying "I am going to stop being sensitive to you". They are too funny Of course they are careful with the eyes.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I appreciate all the support on this board. It is so great!!! I knew if we could get Ken to eat he would be getting better. He is on Fenergan and is eating again. Eating means that he is gaining back some strength, which is good. Now, I am off to fix DD. Her tummy is upset too. Ugh, this never ends.
