Morning! Up 1 1/2 pounds. DH cheated and ate a candy bar and he lost. Go figure! Of course he was very active yesterday. Still dealing with sick kids here and trying to get caught up with work!

Mini-welcome back!

Ok, off to get a little shopping done then back home to get some much needed weeding of the garden going!

Great to hear you are able to do that now! I love our above ground pool (it's a 25 foot circle). It's on its last legs though, this will be the last year. I think it's our 4th summer with it.

Hope they are all better soon. MEN! Can't stand how easily they lose. DH just stops eating 3 gallons of ice cream a week, and will drop 5 pounds. He really needs to lose weight now...has a physically undemanding job, and the pounds have been piling up on him. We can't afford to buy him new pants. It's amazing how men can suck those pants under their belly and keep wearing them.

I'm still in my window, got one more week of P3 till I start my next round. I'm contemplating going more traditional this time and skipping the P3 weekends thing. I definitely want to get halfway to goal, and might have to go more than 21 days. I guess it would be 60 days if my weight loss is as slow as the last six months. Hopefully my metabolism will be perkier.

Morning, ladies (and any lurking gents)! Down another 1.5, perhaps more if Bernice ever visits. Sigh, I always forget the first week or so takes some getting used to, per se. That's just about the last of what I'm calling load weight, since I stabilized at about +6

Either way, it's all coming back off, dammit! It just means I might not get as small as I would have otherwise, had I been able to stabilize at LDW. I just have to remind myself that I didn't get fat overnight, so I'm not getting healthy overnight either!!

I've been eating a lot lately, and building a lot of muscle, and now it is time to lean out for real... so, back I go to p2.

I really wanted to wait until I could get some pellets, but even ordering them will need to wait until at least next week (no money) -- so I will use the remaining drops that I have until then.

The big question mark in all this is my workouts, which are pretty darn intense.... and I am not willing to compromise them. I am going to stick as close to protocol as I can manage this time, and if I need to eat more ( I'm assuming I will) , I'll keep it to the p2 foods list, just larger portions.

Roommate is covering groceries this time around, so I will be stocking up on chicken, beef, salad veggies, and apples. I've finished off most of the yummy non-p2-foods I had around, and the rest are getting hidden until this is over.

So, wish me luck!

I'm not facing the scale right away -- I quit weighing when I started building muscle in earnest... but I will in a few days. Not really trippin' on the number one way or the other at the moment -- but I know my potential for getting obsessive about weight when I weigh daily....and I don't want my life to be ruled by an arbitrary and meaningless figure.

Today was a rest and recharge day, meaning no workout, additional sleep, and a lot of food.... so I am starting this p2 with the equivalent of a decent load, for once.
Hey, Mini! Welcome back to our humble thread. Do you do body measurements (not just fat caliper tests)? I would be interested to see what your measurements are. I measure my upper arm, forearm, wrist, bust, waist, abdomen (still have a bulge there, but it's shrinking!), hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. Oh! And my neck, too. Guess I should have been measuring my head as well!

I hope you get the results you are seeking this round.

I am not complaining about the plateau because my clothes are definitely getting to be too large for me!

Yes, I know what is causing the pain--I had foot surgery four months ago. My foot has been learning to walk again (painful) and has been cramping (exceptionally painful.) Plus, my left knee decided it was tired of compensating and gave out on me. (I have a genetic hyper-joint mobility condition that creates complications on ocassion. )

About the time I was ready to try and start swimming, in the beginning of June, our above-ground pool sprung a leak and then collapsed while we were trying to drain it. It took a couple of weeks to repair all the damage and fill it back up (15 x 30). While getting in and out of an above-ground pool is a little challenging for me at this phase in my healing I am pleased to say that I have managed to get in a couple of hours of very low-key swimming this week. It feels so good to be outside in the sunshine and it looks like my foot and knee are responding well to this activity.

Typically I would be getting up now but I wasn't able to sleep last night so I think I will try and catch a nap before my day begins. I will try and catch up with all of you.

Happy Sunday!

Diane
Sorry about the pain and your pool issue! That must have been a drag. But it's fixed now and I'm glad you are enjoying it. If we had a longer season, I would have loved to get an above-ground pool. Doggy's nails might have done it in, though.

So you aren't on P2 right now? Enjoy your nap, Diane! Happy Sunday to you, too.

Well, I think you said you ate off-plan, so that was to be expected, I guess. Be strong! You're so close to goal! Gut it out!! Hope the kids mend soon.

I think that's a great idea, Paula. I don't think I could ever make any progress doing Hcg the way you've been doing it (P3 weekends each week.) I hope you can adjust to straight P2! It's really not hard, but you will have to resist temptation on the weekends for a while to get in the habit. You can do it!!!

Did you do CD's on P3? I never had to, but I came very close. If I hadn't dropped 2.8 lbs in the first four days of P3, I wouldn't have had the wiggle-room I needed when I started heading back up. I would have done a chicken day if it came down to that.

Happy Sunday, people! I'm down 1.2 today after no loss yesterday. Man! When you don't count the load weight in your losses, things look a heck of a lot less thrilling! But being R2, I just couldn't double-dip and count the loading lbs. I have to be accurate!

Yeah, I do CDs if I need to, but for whatever reason(s), it just didn't "take" as well this last round. Then again, considering how much travelling and eating away from home I did (From May 23 through June 23, I was at home a total of 15 days), I'm not too surprised I stabilized higher than at the 2 pound window. On the other hand, I didn't gain it all back, either, so that's pretty great! As well, I ate lots of things I know I probably shouldn't have during a P3, and the damage just wasn't that bad. Interesting lesson, to be sure. But I'm at home now, and with the exception of one day in July, I'm going to be able to do this Round (4) and the next Round (5) properly, so that'll be good for me.

Thanks for the pep talk! I know I can do it, my first 3 rounds were quite traditional. Just gets mentally tough after about two weeks for me (and probably for everyone else!)

Well, Ladies -- I faced the scale after all (what fun is p2 without some reinforcement, frustration, and confusion from the scale...lol)

I've put on 10 lbs since my last weigh in, for a starting weight of 118.2 -- I am not at all surprised by this number -- I was guessing I'd be between 115 and 120, so I hit it right on the head.

My body looks and feels A LOT like it did when I was in a dance company in my 20s... training for hours every day, and running in addition to that -- and I weighed 118 at that time, too.

I am going to do bodyfat measurements later today, or possibly tomorrow, depending on when I can schedule time with roomie. I'm guessing it has stayed fairly stable since my last measurement -- though I may have put on a bit of fat, too, along with the muscle -- I was certainly eating to gain, so that wouldn't surprise me.

Cheryl -- I do measure as well -- although last time I did bodyfat, I couldn't find my tape measure (due to ongoing house rearranging chaos) -- so I don't have measurements for that period. I do have them for Jan/Feb, and Mar/April, however.

My thighs, calves, and butt are all bigger than they were in Jan/Feb-- that much I can tell you for sure. I am fairly certain I've gained inches on my arms, too (this is a good thing -- they were pretty scrappy at 105.)

I think I'd like to drop back down to 110, assuming I have enough bodyfat to do that without losing much muscle -- even if I do lose a little muscle in the process, that's not a disaster, since I build it easily.

Wish I could start this with a fresh batch of drops, or better yet pellets, but that will have to wait until next week when some funds are available (at which time I will probably rush order them!) I will tap and tap the drops I have, and see if that does the trick. So far so good, though... no hunger this afternoon, and I haven't yet eaten today.

Rather excited to be back on this bandwagon, actually -- so I suspect the timing is good for doing this.

Thank you and nice to meet you! I played around w/ half and half in my coffee which I missed, but am over it now. I am following 100% protocol and it's working beautifully for me. My body loves HCG. Here is a record of my losses:

6/8/11 223.6 (loading day #1)
6/9/11 226.0 (loading day #2)
6/10/11 225.6
6/11/11 223.4
6/12/11 220.0
6/13/11 218.0
6/14/11 217.4
6/15/11 217.0
6/16/11 216.0
6/17/11 215.4
6/18/11 214.8
6/19/11 213.8
6/20/11 213.6
6/21/11 213.4
6/22/11 212.4
6/23/11 212.0
6/24/11 211.6
6/25/11 210.6
6/26/11 209.6

I can't believe how much I've lost. I picked up two of my 8-pound dumbbells and my husband and son said that's how much I lost. Those suckers were heavy!

That's good! I do much better when I have smooth-sailing. I have a camping trip in August and I plan to bring my scale with me so I can weigh daily. I believe in that! And then each day I'll titrate my eating accordingly. (I'll be in P4, but still don't want to blow it and do any back-peddling.)

Paula, I hear ya! If I had a family and a house full of things I couldn't eat, I don't know if I could do this. I live in a little bubble where I can control my little environment. That works well for me!

Mini, I've never done the drops but I've heard of people adding a few drops (?) of alcohol to sort of recharge them. Can you do that? I'm sure you know what to do.

That must be such a shocker to see 10 lbs on the scale. But you know it's all muscle and that is what you are trying to do. Personally, I just want to be slim and lean. I don't want any muscle bulk at all. But that's a personal preference.

You are 100% protocol? You do realize this is a Rogue thread, right? Just wanted you to know that in case you wondered why the rest of us were such rebels.

Isn't it amazing when you pick up something that weighs the amount that you lost? It's almost impossible to fathom.

Hi all...

I am sorta back after battling this flu bug...I am feeling better and have been back to eating yesterday and today...

Cheryl, you were so right....even with my eating decreasing and my illness the weight loss did not jump up that much...I was down just .5 this morning which made 13 pounds in 14 days...guess I should not complain, but its only been .5 in 3 days....ughhh..the good news is that I did try on my size 8 jeans this morning and they do now fit....they are tight, but at least now i can get them back on and 2 weeks ago that was impossible due to my horrible eating

I hope all is well with everyone...a BIG CONGRATS to all the losses and all the success I am seeing....GREAT JOB all....

Have a great night and see you tomorrow

Good to hear you're feeling better Stacy! I don't lose when I'm sick either. I don't get it but what can you do!

Another day of forgetting my drops, doh! Yeah, I've been so busy that I've been totally been forgetting to take them. I've gotta get better tomorrow. I spent the day weeding and transplanting things. I literally was outside weeding a good 8 hours today. We've gotten so much rain that we havn't been able to get in the gardens. We grow about 1/2 of the food we consume so you can only imagine how big our vegetable garden is! Our poor green bean/corn/onion patch has been underwater for days and it was just now dry enough to get in and weed. Now I've gotta go back and replant as we lost quite a bit from rot. I also started a few new flower areas in the yard. We're having 2 large parties at our house this summer and we're refinancing and having it appraised in the next week or so so we're trying to get everything looking perfect!

Off to bed. Finally!

Hi Everyone
So glad to see everyone is still on track. Ater a few days mia, I am happy to report I am back again and will be consistent in my posting!!
Hi Mini I am so in awe of you not freaking out about a number on the scale!!! Even if you know it is from muscle. You are a true inspiration, kutgw and the great attitude might I add.
I had to order a new bottle of hcg and this one tastes sweet after mixing it with the colloidal silver and the vit b12. I think it is the b12 that is sweet? Is this ok? My last bottle was already mixed and I just had to administer the drops under my tongue.
It was neutral. I am just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

Good morning, all! It would seem that I am having trouble sleeping two nights in a row. I tried melatonin and valerian last night and fell into a deep sleep but woke up way too soon. Could it be the hhcg. . .if so, this is not a pleasant side effect?!!

It looks like my stall broke! That scale did not move all week long and yesterday I dropped 1.8 lbs for a total loss of 20lbs. I was eating LC Atkins-style since I started round two due I simply did not want to prepare more than one menu. . .the fact that I lost 4lbs (not counting the load weight) surprised me.

I'm ready to dig in and give up my bacon and eggs breakfasts and mayo on my salads and follow the Scarsdale Diet plan while taking hhcg. I switched from the VLCD protocol to the Scarsdale Diet at the end of round one and I felt better with more calories, plus, my weightloss improved! I am hoping for the same success this time. . .if it doesn't work then I will return to protocol.

Well, I am going to try and snag an hour of rest before the alarm goes off.

Wishing you all weight losses and healthy families!

Diane, 'night

Not everyone has this but I do and I know Dawn (from the simeons thread) does also. I use melatonin sometimes, but when it's severe, I resort to benedryl. No trouble falling asleep for me...in fact I'm usually very sleepy by 10 pm...but will wake up at 3 am if I forget my benedryl. I'm on P3 but still experiencing this somewhat. I think it's a stress reaction which P2 must intensify (after all, our bodies are starving somewhat). And we all seem to react differently to that stress.

Another Correction Day today. This should be my last, as, after all, this is my last P3/P4 week.

Gah, didn't really lose any of my gain, but then again TOM showed up as scheduled so I'm guessing that's the problem. I had to have burned a good 1000+ calories yesterday with all the work I did in the yard. I can feel it in every muscle of my body! LOL!

I'm going strick starting tomorrow for a few days to see if I can hit goal by next Monday. Plus gotta get some running in! I've been too busy to run!

Ok, off to get some laundry done and some bedrooms cleaned!
