Yay! The apple day worked - down 2.2 for a total of 12.0 for this round. Today is VLCD Day 24. I was going to be on P3 by Saturday so I would have almost a week to stabilize before DS's big 30th b'day bash. I think I will stick to that plan.

I ate 4 apples plus a handful of strawberries. I couldn't stomach the thought of another apple so the strawbs were a welcome break. I did experience a little hunger yesterday but nothing extraordinary.

That spray sounds interesting. I have 2 unopened bottles of pellets in stock but perhaps for future use the spray could be interesting.

About DDD - I try to avoid the Food Network (except for the Next Food Network Star!) when doing a P2! Don't want to start any 'mental' cravings - those are the worst kind.

Have a good Thursday everyone!

Well, today starts my first VLCD for this round. I have 36lbs to lose to get to my goal and then I will decide if I want to go lower. Hopefully I won't have any hunger over then next couple of days. (fingers crossed!)
thanks! that's what i was hoping you would say as i have been reading about this spray on the their site. can you elaborate on your experience with the spray? i am currently using intermountain pellets, but the spray intrigued me.

down 0.6 of my "hormonal gain" yesterday...lol. only 0.2 away from my low this round.

congrats on a successful apple/strawberry day, Pat.

Morning everyone! Looks like everyone's a little more positive this morning. Way to go on the losses!

I'm down another well, nearly 2, for 8 lost since Monday (gotta love the week one losses) and now I'm only 4 pounds from goal! I'm sure I'll gain a pound over the weekend and its TOM time soon so that should stall me out. I was 152 at my lowest last round and 154 now. I want to see 150 before vacation.

Pat, I love to cook and I'm quite good at it. I think that's what taking so long to get to goal, I keep tasting what I cook! Its hard to stay away from food when you're cooking for 2 kids and grandparents.

Have a great day!

mdolph - congrats! So close to goal!!!

I also LOVE to cook and that is why I like to watch the Food Network on occasion. We are empty-nesters but I still cook dinner for DH. During a P2, I cook in bulk for him such as a large batch of chili. Makes it easier while trying to stick to plan. He doesn't mind eating the same meal for days on end!

Congrats to Melanie, Pat and Dazy. You guys are doing awesome.

MrsPat, welcome back. I know what you mean about isolating. I do that too when I am not feeling too good about myself.

I was down another 2 lbs today, see stats. Thanks to all of you and the support.

Oooh, have fun clothes shopping! It bites when the weight loss slows, but great to need new clothes! I dug some shorts out of my closet from 10 years ago...not exactly the height of fashion but they fit!

Are you doing a long round or a few short ones? I'm planning on two rounds to get my last 25 pounds off when I restart after the 4th.

Lost 1.4 from my CD and am back in range. Hope it doesn't bounce again. Would not be surprised though...TOM is looming, and you can just never tell!

Waving hi to everyone I missed!

I just looked up Ketomist and if I am not mistaken Kevin Trudeau's name seemed linked to it. JMHO, I refuse to purchase anything that he may profit from. Plus it 77.00/bottle!! Yikes!!! I will stick with my pellets.

Quick post! VLCD13 and -9. I had a bad weekend (M&Ms aren't on plan, right? ) foodwise and it's taken me most of this week (plus TOM) to get back to losing. Cheats are so not worth it! [Hope that means I won't do it again this round.]

Hey gang! I'm baaaaack!
Been a busy month - a show, a week at summer camp, and then a trip to visit a friend. Phew! I think I've been at home a total of 10 days this month, including today. But, I'm not travelling again for a couple of weeks, and then only for a one-day trip. Next show is in September...

Back on P2 (first VLCD) - gained it all back from last round, including load. It's really hard to stabilize when you're travelling, that's for damn sure!! Harder to do P2, but P3 isn't easy either. Oh well. Hopefully it'll all come back off quickly. We'll see!

Hope all you lovelies are progressing well on your journey - I don't have enough time to go back to June 2 and catch up on everything!

After reading posts about hHCG on another site I realized that I am not using HCG drops. They are only amino acids (NiGen BioTech HCG Solution) how frustrating. Therefore, the wt loss is only because of the VLCD. I did order Intermountain HCG pellets too and thankfully they DO contain HCG
hcg 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x
Vit B12 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x
L-arginine, L-carnitine, L-ornithine all 6x, 12x, 30x

Therefore, it is my understanding that the pellets are actually better since they DO contain hcg, whereas the others only contain aminos. The unfortunate thing is that the manufacturer of these drops took out a full page ad in First magazine with the issue of Dr. Oz on the front touting the hcg plan.

for both of you.

-.7 today! I was surprised. Bernice didn't visit yesterday, so I didn't expect that much, if any, loss. I am trying as hard as I can to stick to protocol, but PMS has shown up and with ovulation and PMS I am always starving, even when I'm not on protocol. Pesky hormones!

Good morning! Happy Thursday! Well, I didn't get to weigh yesterday, but I did today. I was -2.8 today. Woo hoo! That means I have lost 24.2 pounds since I started. So happy!

I am going to keep going until July 2, and do P3 for a couple of weeks, then get going again. I hope to lose a few more pounds before then-maybe 3-5.

What is your best advice for P3? Somebody posted some tips a couple of weeks ago, and I printed them out-I think it might have been Shelbyla. I will check the P3 threads, too. Meanwhile, I hope you all have a wonderful day, with much success on your journey!

My advice is to add foods slowly. Don't go hog-wild in the first day or two. I was extremely cautious with dairy - cheese especially. AND Weigh every day!

That's great that the DDD is so low carb friendly! Congrats on being so close to goal!! Sorry your week has been a stressful one. I hope the garage sale comes together, just in the nick of time!

Did you have that surgery for the lump? I hope you did and that it went well!

Diane, welcome back! It's so nice to see some old familiar faces around here again! I'm so sorry for the pain you've been in. What causes it? Are you enjoying you pool yet? Surely it's hot enough now! (Am I confusing you with someone else living in AZ? Hope not! It's been a while.) I hope you have great success doing Hcg low carb! If you do, please tell us how you are doing it. Many many folks have asked if it could be done. Beezer did it that way, but she also did it very low fat. To me, Atkins is all about fat.

Are you serious? I just went to that site to check it out and it says HCG in huge letters on the bottles. No Hcg in it??? You should try to get a refund. That is very deceptive advertising! How many days have you been using them? Well, don't throw in the towel. Keep on going. You're losing weight! Are you hungry?

Nice loss! Advice for P3: Enjoy it for what it is. Try to let go of the desire to see the scale dropping and derive pleasure from stability and the fun things you can eat. Definitely go slowly at first. Don't jump into eating your BMR calorie limit. It took me days to get up to around 1600. I just wasn't hungry. Also, keep tracking your food intake just the way you do on P2.

I'm down 3.0 of the 3.6 I gained during Loading. I'm a happy girl, so far. I am looking forward to big numbers this round, and only have 36 days to get'er'done. I am hopeful, though. And since there is so little time to mess around, I won't be going off plan much, if at all. I had thought I'd do it for the 4th of July, but if I don't have any event to attend that day (or weekend), I'll just keep right on truckin'.

Bad T-storms again today. Storms all week! Gave my doggy some Benadryl in a hot dog a while ago and it's making a big difference!

Have an awesome day, ladies! Good to have you back!

Thank you! I will continue to weigh daily, and go slowly.

What a good hubby, loving left-overs. A guy after my own heart. I don't mind eating the same thing over and over.

This is one cool hubby!

I am so worried that I won't be able to add too much-I always feel so guilty for eating anything! I guess I am just going to have to be VERY cautious about portion sizes, and paying attention while eating to be sure I don't stuff myself. No eating in front of the tv or computer!! I will do a journal, too, to see how different foods affect me.

Hooray! Sounds like you are off to a good start!

Bad T-storms again today. Storms all week! Gave my doggy some Benadryl in a hot dog a while ago and it's making a big difference!

I am going to tell my friend in So. Cal. about this-they don't get too many T-storms, but her little dog really freaks out!

Have an awesome day, ladies! Good to have you back! [/QUOTE]

You too, Cheryl!!

Maureen, I kept weighing everything I ate, even on P3. That's the only way you can be sure of what you're really eating. If you estimate, you're dooooomed.

I hope the Benadryl works for her dog, too. It's terrible to see your fur-baby so distraught! Makes you feel like a very bad mom.

I have some of that! I actually bought a few different kinds of WF dressings in the beginning of R1 and I just was too leery to use them. I didn't miss salads enough to over-ride the fear. But this time I'm going to have salads. I need the roughage.

Anybody else see the First for Women magazine this week? I just snagged one at the grocery store. "Dr Oz's Pregnancy Hormone Diet"! Going to read it as soon as I'm done eating.

Cheryl, yes I had the lump removed. Now I've got a nice little, beyond ugly mind you, scar in it's place that looks and feels as lumpy as the lump.

I saw the magazine the other day and would have read it in line at the grocery if my kids were behaving!

So my son had an allergy attack and I've spent the entire day in the ER. No getting ready for the garage sale. My very sympathetic (sarcasticly saying) mother pretty much blew me off when she called. I guess she read on facebook I had my son in the ER. Anyway, his poor little face is all swollen. His one eye is totally swollen shut and his lips look like Mic Jagger!

Mousie- glad to see you!

Ok, I've got to get things around for this garage sale. I've done pretty much nothing! If I didn't need the money for vacation I'd say screw it!

Oh no! What did he react to? Poor thing. You and him!

Are you applying a treatment to the scar? It'll take time to go away. Mederma I heard works well, as well as simply applying Neosporin as it's healing. It's still early yet. Scars take a long time to settle down.

I read the article from Dr Oz. I posted a thread about it. Here's the link:

"Dr Oz's Pregnancy Hormone Diet"!

I hope you can scrounge up the energy to get ready for the garage sale. Sending you good thoughts!

UGH! Why does family have to be that way??? I just don't understand it. My parents are both jerks, and I have little to no relationship with them. I hope your son feels better soon! Good luck with your garage sale!

I bought the drops from Walgreens in Feb. I think and I used the drops for a couple of days. The box itself and/or the insert has the list of ingredients. So, when I began using them seriously this time around (see sig for # of days, 9 I believe) I had to go online to find the ingredients as I had thrown away the box and insert.

Yes, I am losing wt. As I said, it is probably more due to the VLCD. The aminio acids that are included in the drops are supposed to assist with appetite suppression. However, I do experience hunger, but nothing unmanageable. I get hungry as it closes in on a meal time.

Yes, I read that article and the huge one page ad that is within the article, or right before or after, are the drops that have HCG on the label yet only contain aminos.
