My sanity staples are -

1Cup Greek yogurt (0% M.F), 1Cup or less of blueberries, cocoa and chocolate stevia (this fills me so much mentally and physically) Pretty much daily.

Egg white omelette ( 3 E/W & 1 Egg) with homemade salsa (sometimes I spread on 1 light Laughing Cow cheese)

Melba & 1 light Laughing Cow cheese (here and there when I need a pick me up)

Diet A&W rootbeer (here and there when I need a pick me up)

"No taco" taco salad. 100 G ground beef, taco seasoning, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa & FF sour cream. (a lifesaver sometimes when I need "taste")

1 Pk miracle noodles, Italian stewed tomatoes, grilled chicken and zucchini cubed.

I make apple chips for when I'm doing errands and don't want the fast food places to win! Ha ha. Just thinly slice & add cinnamon (200F for 2.5 hrs)

My Last round I lost with the same average as Protocol rounds.

Protein: Based on Lean Body Mass Calculator, I at up to that amount each day if I could.
Sources: Anything that was Lean and had a normal to higher protein content.
High on the list was Turkey Breast, Beef, and chicken, Next Cottage Cheese and Fat Free(high protein) dairy; Fish and Shrimp are lower in protein but consequently lower in calories; Whey protein powder as shakes occasionally

Grains: Allowance of up to 100 calories of grain based carbs: Fat Free Popcorn, Akmak, crackers, Wasa Thin crisps, melba, grissini, ( I did not include yeasted loaf style breads like healthy Life, though I might next time)

Fruits: I took this from Omaha Weigh Loss Food guide and allowed myself watermelon and blueberries in addition to the traditional fruits, but I rarely deviated there much except for a couple of times. Mostly apples and grapefruit.

Vegetables. I made a list of all the low calorie vegetable I liked and included them if they were around or less than 40cal per 100g. this included mushrooms, green beans, bell pepper, sprouted mung beans, snow peas, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels, radishes,...( recommendation of no more than 4 cups, but I hate volume measurements) the lowest Calorie vegetable were eaten freely but still counted : lettuce, cucumber, celery, herbs.

Free use of low calorie condiments and dressing, just count them as used. e.g. shiritaki, Walden Farms, Vermont Whatsit 5 calorie vinagrettes, etc

calorie limit of between 500 - 800, averageing around 650 most days.

It was the best most relaxing and easiest round I've had. My losses were not linear, but they went in the right direction and I lost 10pound in a short n' a half round.
