Are any of you telling others how you're losing?

I'm not...I don't want to hear "oh, that's dangerous" or "you'll gain it back"....blah, blah, blah. The only ones that know are my husband, son and a few co-workers who are doing it as well. I'm going to say "diet and exercise" if any asks. I've always been sorry when I told others my business and I can do without the comments. If I eat a bunch of junk, of course I'll gain it back....that is true with any plan.

I'm at the age now where I could give a flip what others think. If they ask me I tell them exactly how I have lost my weight. The proofs in the puddin.

Nope -- don't need the grief! Too much to explain, too much science, and one side of the family is obsessed with health and not very open-minded about medicine. I just don't need anybody second-guessing my plan, so I just smile and say "low carb!".

I was the naysayer - but only to my husband. Trust isn't exactly the most abundant commodity in my personality bank. :-) But the thing is, the women that I knew were doing it were conservative, and SHARP. I was really grateful that a friend took a chance on me and told me. And, when I was ready, I jumped in - speculative and cynical during much of this "ride".

I've been down and out with Lyme Disease, so haven't been out much. However, today, for the first time, I think it's turning and I'm feeling better. If people ask, I think I will say something along the lines of: "lean meats and veggies, and I cut out all forms of sugar." If someone asks me that I know has fought the battle hard for a long time, (like I have), and likes reading and research, I'll tell her.

Nope...I don't really tell anyone, including my hubby. He thinks that everyone can lose weight with healthy eating and exercise and that just doesn't work for me...and I am tired of discussing it with him. The only ones who know are my Mom and two friends...and of course all of you here at Lowcarbfriends...

I tell anyone who asks, if I have the time! I've lost about 60 pounds so the change is pretty dramatic (from a size 14 to a size 4--I'm 5'9"). I'm sure a lot of people are sick of hearing about it at this point!

Wow, congrats to you! You're a size 4 at 152 and 5'9"? I'm 5'10" and when I was 140 I was a size 6. Everyone's different, that's for sure. I love being tall...my weight loss shows very quickly which I love.

I think they are what is currently referred to as a "vanity size". I just know that I bought the EXACT pants in January in 14's that I bought last week in in the 4's. Lovelovelove the HCG!

Excellent! Good for you! I have clothes in my closet from when I was 140 in 1998 and I just knew I'd get back into them someday. Looks like that "someday" is going to be by the end of this year.

I do tell, but usually the only people that have been asking are people that I know are struggling with it themselves. My dilema is whether or not to tell my rheumatologist next month--he's sure to ask how I finally started losing weight

My husband and my sister know, but no way am I going to tell my parents or my co-workers. My parents think that I am fine the way I am (overweight) and my co-workers are really judgemental. It's good that I am on vacation for 5 weeks so I don't have to eat (or not eat) around my co-workers.
