First thing you want to do is stabilize your existing weight and reset your metabolism. So you will want to do 3 weeks minimum of P3, especially if this was your first round. Then you can go back to losing or do a P4. If you try to lower cals before that time you will find you gain instead of lose. And that defeats the purpose

Strict Omaha plan doesn't have the phases Simeon's does. You stay on HCG and the diet until the weight is lost and then add foods in.

For those not waiting to get to goal, I'd model P3 after Simeon's.

I really only want to do a 23 day round should I stick with simeons or could I still do the omaha for just that long?

You can go either way. Omaha gives you more food options and a 100 ro 200 more calories per day. Expected losses are 15-20 pounds per month.

Question

I was just on the OWL site and saw that he says that "HCG is not absorbed orally". How can he claim this when SO many do fine with the homeopathic drops under their tongue? Do all of you doing OWL get your hcg from him directly? Thanks for any help!

The doc who is behind the plan does not endorse the drops and pellets. He uses prescription shots and creams. Too many success stores that confirm the others work too tho!

So do most of you here doing OWL use your own hcg (either pellets or drops) or do you all use his hcg?

If you don't mind the limited choices I would do the strict to start and if it starts getting to you then add in some of the OWL choices. I think the OWL works but perhaps a little slower.

Yeah I was thinking about trying some of the fruit but that kinda scares me too. This is my 4th round I think and I just get so bored and then it is hard to stay on

I'm using pellets and following his food plan. I have some health issues which make the 500 cal of Simeons rough to stick to without nasty side effects. So the added calories (and choices) make this easier to stay with even if the losses may be slower. Though so far this round the losses aren't slower than when I did strict Simeon's protocol.

RX can also be used sublingually and works well i am skeptical of this guy especially since he justifies skipping P3 because of the extra calories he allows in P2 ... one doesn't have very much to do with the other i can see the extra calories for some people but P3 has been said to be the most important part of the protocol for resetting our hypothalamus ....so this doesn't just turn into another diet to just lose weight but to keep it down afterwards
i have used walden farms products and gave my DH extra food on it but i guess for me i will definitely be following P&I about P3

I plan to do a longer round and then a full P3. I loved the add'l lost inches and stabilization I got in my first round.

I think I would still follow P3 too. It seems to be one of the most important parts as far as keeping the weight off.

I am pretty much doing the same....i am doing no drops for 2 days, but am going to eat the same as if i was on drops....then i am going to slowly add in fat and increase my calories...i know from past i cannot let me calories go over 1200 or i will gain...i also will not let myself gain over 2 pounds or i will do a correction day like in the original protocol..i want to lose in P3, while many others dont....i also wont have popcorn on P3 like you do in P2, as it is no sugar, starch etc....I will have my fruit, veggies etc in P3, just have more and introduce new ones and see how my body reacts,,,this will be my time to get my body ready to maintain and also hopefully get to goal....this is just my personal way and personally thoughts..well i have had help from others, but is what i am hoping to accomplish....

the fruit is the exact reason i decided to try hcg...after 1 year of very low carb and eating between 5-8 carbs a day for a year, i knew for the rest of my life that was not going to work,,,i wanted to find something i could get to goal with and maintain for life..so i found hcg and wanted something i could have some healthy carbs with...my goal is getting my body used to having and losing/maintaining with some healthy higher carb foods, such as fruits and an occasional higher carb veggies and not gain....before if i went over 8 carbs even a healthy carb i gained...that was so frustrating....hopefully this will conquer that issue after i am all done...

I see you are only doing no drops, vlc day for 2 days before moving onto maintenance---is it 2 or 3 days that we have to do no drops and vlc days? I feel like I have read both in different places.

I ask because I have to go away on days 21-26 on my very first round so I'm going to go into maintenance when I go and then do another round 3 weeks later but I'd like to get that 1 extra day in of P2 before doing no drops and vlc. Thanks for any help!

I read for non rx drops to do 2 days...and for rx drops it was 3 days...my 3rd day wont be that much of a bigger difference as tonight i am grilling a bunch of meat...my first change will be i am going to add some butter to the chicken i am grilling and will have that tomorrow and will eat more of it than today and will eat real salad dressing instead of my waldens dressing...not a real drastic change

I did eat some melon and even some popcorn lastnight and still lost 4lbs so I'am pretty happy with that. I had gotten to where I only lost on low carb to and if I ate much of anything gained. I do think it makes this diet alittle easier getting to add some different things.

You can do an interruption for up to 14 days. P3 while gone then just go back into P2. You don't have to wait 3 weeks. Just try to eat really clean and maintain your weight.

Hi everyone......

I am fighting demons right now, too. But I've decided to have an exorcism tonight. I'm not sure what started this "mood" I'm in....I know I don't like having holidays where I can't eat the things I want, so maybe the Fourth of July's denial did it.....Who knows? Anywho, I've been off plan now for a couple of days and I feel like crap!!! No, I haven't been doing maintenace, I've been binging - eating what I want. So, enough of that!

Hopefully (I think), once I start the drops again tomorrow, the weight should come off quickly. I was doing so well and I'm very disappointed in myself.

Better get to work. Stay strong but don't buy a guilt ticket....just get back on the train.
