Just introducing myself
Howdy! I've been reading this forum the past few days and am really impressed with the "tone" of the posts - very positive and encouraging. So I decided to jump on in!
I'm a 41-yr-old wife & mom. I've struggled with my weight for 20 years. I've tried every diet under the sun, some more successfully than others. Earlier this year I took about 3 months to religiously count my calories (1400 per day) and exercise, and lost maybe 5 pounds. At that point I went to my doctor begging for help, and she put me on HCG. I'm on R1P2VLCD12 and have dropped 16 lbs so far! My goal is for this round is to lose 20 lbs, and eventually 40-45 total. I'm incredibly excited about the losses so far, but also want to make sure I'm educating myself as much as possible so that I can keep it off for life. To that end, I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you guys and thank you in advance for taking the time to give some advice. I want my 40's to be the BEST decade of my life - full of health, strength, activity and confidence. Let's do this! ~Tara |

Welcome!
You're about 10 days ahead of me, but I can definitely relate to the 1400cals/day plus exercise (daily, aerobic and strength) getting me NOWHERE. So frustrating! Glad you're finally seeing the scale move! |

Welcome Tara,
great job on the 16 lbs. I am just starting for the first time after getting frustrated with slow losses too. I am on vlcd1 today. There are lots of great hcg threads and groups on the lcf board. As a beginner, I would love to see your menus. Plus, I think it is great that your Dr. recommended hcg. Is the diet the same as the original simeons protocol? Thanks for sharing. |
