You know what myrna, I woke up this morning and said I bet she is in the 170s today, and there you areI'm so happy for you, in another tens level. That is so awesome. If you don't mind and have the time, post some of your menus. Getting kind of board with mine.

I lost .5 yesterday which puts me at 146.5, things are moving slow but they are still moving. your grandfather wanting to do your laundry is too cute, definitely put a smile on my face.

I think I'll do a workout today, been kind of lazy in that area over the last few weeks, however, I was exercising just about every day before hcg and eating under 1400 calories a day and got nowhere. Love this plan.

I previously made the mistake and said I ate under 14000 calories today and I could hear others say that's why she can't lose weight.

Woo hoo! Even if you're inching, it's in the right direction!

My menus are really boring - I don't do a lot of experimenting, lol.

Yesterday I had grilled chicken breast with iceberg lettuce, salt/pepper, and juice from 1/2 a lemon for lunch. I toss that together and it makes the lemon juice like a salad dressing. I have half a serving of the melba toast rounds from Target (about 3 or 4.)

I make the frozen strawberry smoothie with a handful of strawberries, about a cup of water, and a little stevia - that's my usual snack. It's just easy.

For dinner I had a portion of the lean gr beef/rotel - I make a batch of this, which is about five servings (500 g beef, plus 2 cans rotel, I like the jalenpeno/hot kind.) Then after it's cooked, I drain it, and put it on the scale and divide that by 5, into baggies for the fridge.

I also have baggies of cooked shrimp, 93/7 beef patties, the grilled chicken breast, and some lean white meat turkey burgers (I know that's not on the list, but I've used them.) I keep about a week's worth in the fridge, so I can just chop it up and put it on lettuce, or toss in the microwave and dinner's ready.

Lettuce, cukes, and tomatoes/rotel are pretty much the veggies I've been using. I did make some roasted asparagus using the lemon/salt/pepper, and it was really good, but after making dinner for the fellas, I'm usually ready to just grab'n'go for mine, lol.

other than that, I'll sip on diet green tea or water most of the day, then at night I usually try to get down about 3 or 4 more 16-20 oz water bottles before I go to sleep (while I'm watching tv/surfing the net) - I feel like this is what saves me most days, because I weigh every time I go to the bathroom, lol, and watching the weight fluctuate during the day/at night is just scary! It's a great motivator for getting down "one more bottle" though, lol.

I have realized that zero days with no losses is a real possibility with this plan, there are some days that I do real well and nothing and other days like yesterday I get a one pound loss. I'm now at 145.5 and even though I haven't loss a lot up to this point, overall I still have lost more on this plan than any other. Keep the faith ladies. Here's to some whooooshes tomorrow!

Nice job! Truckin' right along!!

I will be sooo glad to have my house back. I feel like I've been in the kitchen, either cooking or cleaning, for the past 6 days! lol

My summertime guilty pleasure starts tonight (Big Brother 13, lol) so hopefully that will give me something to do for "me" - 2 more days and a wake-up until we're back to normal around here. I love that I'm able to give my grandfather a break from my mother's house, but he talks badly about everybody, and it's not only getting on my nerves, but my kids are taking note of it, too. Not nice. If I say anything to him, he gets all offended like I'm taking a jab at him, by saying that I don't care what other ppl do...ugh.

We're having "quiet time" right now, then we might go to the park if it doesn't rain. I need to get out of the house. My g'father is bathing in his cologne, I think, and it's making my head hurt - We might run by the grocery store, too. I'm out of lettuce, and just noticed at lunchtime...

Counting down the time until BB13, lol! I'm way too excited about it.

: Whohoo over twenty mark, that is awesome. If you look back at this short time losing that much weight is just awesome.

I lost .5 yesterday which puts me at the ten pound mark from 155. not very hungry this morning which is good not like yesterday when I was starving in the a.m. for some reason. oh well talk to you later.

Down, down, down! Way to go, Caramel!!!

My MIL started her low-cal 2 days ago, and her first two numbers are 2.2 and .2 - she was worried about the .2 so early in the game, so I sent her a copy of my losses by day, pointing out all the zeros, lol. Hopefully that helps.

It's POURING rain here, and we're getting a little cabin fever. Might have to find some crafts or something for the kids...

Here's to a good day!

Hi gals! You are all doing great. Congrats myrna, and caramel, and Lildrew, god knows, I feel your pain! Doing hcg 500 cal per day and not seeing daily results is mucho frustrating.

I went away for the 4th and managed, even with some cheats, to keep at 1 lb over my end of hcg weight. I dropped it in one down day. I am doing p3, but kind of juddd style, so I can hopefully lose a little. I didn't lose enough in p2 to worry too much about stabilizing. I am now exactly where I was a week ago, so I am cool with that. If I can lose a few lbs before I go camping Aug 3rd, then I won't feel like the hcg was a total bust. I know you are supposed to not lose in p3, but between only losing 6 lbs and not planning to go on another round, I am thinking that going low carb, eating to bmr (p3 basically) on one day, then low carb 500 cal every other day, I should drop, but still keep my metabolism stoked.

Hi Snaggle

Great to hear from you, I have been searching the boards looking for you so it's good to see you are doing well. I'm almost done with p2 and wanted to do p3 low carb as well. When I finish this plan hopefully I will be at goal so I won't need to lose any more but definitely don't want to gain.

Are you eating things like low carb tortilla's, are you eating any sugars. I'm fine with substitutes but wanted to try some low carb tortillas for sandwiches. I just don't want to gain. let me know a sample of what you are eating, I really don't want to eat no starches.

So glad to see that your weight hasn't gone up, that is something I worry about. And yes you definitely have a lot of time to lose a good amount of weight before August

Hey Snaggle! Glad you dropped back by to say hi and update us. That's awesome to hear how you're doing, and I really hope you continue to find what's working for ya.

I'm down 0.4 today, which I'm actually overjoyed about because I totally had my first cheat last night, lol. I was up too late. There were two fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies left over from dessert tonight, and I just HAD to have one. I only had one, but I made that decision to just eat it. It was good, but it had me scared for this morning. Might pay for it still; I've heard it can take 2 days sometimes to show up, but I'll be ok if it does. Now I've gotten it out of my system about "needing" some chocolate, though, lol.

Ok, ladies - GOOD DAY TODAY!

Myrna, Can I join you for chocolate chip cookie penance? Yesterday was an "up day" (higher calorie), and I did okay, not great, but was in bed, ready to call it a night, and looking forward to a strict down day today and my evil husband came home from visiting a friend and was carrying a bag...................with a HUGE chocolate chip cookie in it!
Mind you, my teeth were brushed, etc. etc, and I still ate at least half the darn thing. In bed. He had been given two cookies as he was leaving the friend's house and had already eaten one.
I don't weigh after my up days, so who knows the damage, and I do hope that by being very strict today, I can overcome it, but I am just mad at myself.
Caramel- I had my first low carb tortilla yesterday with some leftover steak and cheese for my breakfast. The ones I get are only 50 calories and I think they only have 3 net carbs, so I am hoping they are ok. I get tired of just eggs in the a.m.
I am really trying to stay away from sugar and carbs, but my willpower is weak sometimes. For the next week, I really plan to do strict juddd, and low carb as my "rogue" version of p3. The hope is to actually drop a few lbs.

Only one myrna? Wow you are good, but I'm sure it's your determination to get the weight off. I love those days when you have a little cheat and stay the same, or better yet in your case still lose.

Snaggle thanks for the info, I want to try some very low carb tortillas next week but I will be starting out with no carbs at first. I know I am going to feel odd upping my calories next week but this is the last day of my drops followed by 2 VLCD. Fingers crossed.

I had zero lose yesterday but that's okay.Talk to you later ladies.

haha - Yes, it was only one, but it was bigger than the palm of my hand, lol. Also, my math looks wrong on the drop today, guess it was posted pre-coffee. My drop was .4, but my weight shows .2 - it should say 178.2.

Caramel, I'm excited for you as you go into P3!! I've been trying to read lots of other threads about P3, and get myself psyched up about it. I'm going to stick around P2 for awhile, but I did start telling my Dh things like "Won't be long until I can have BACON!" or "Next thing you know I'll be putting other veggies on my lettuce and having a REAL salad!" lol I'm kind of confused about how to figure out what the calorie-count should be and things like how you should transition after the 2 VLCDs but I'm figuring it out slowly...

Snaggle, I'm so glad someone was up to no good with me last night, lol. It's more fun that way. :P

Way to go Sails!!

I'm down .4 today. I'll take it!

You guys won't believe what happened last night. Around 3:30am I heard a noise (wasn't asleep yet) and usually, it's the guinea pig making noise in his cage, but this sounded different - so I got up to investigate and make sure. I stood in the bedroom doorway and the only light was on the enclosed porch - which has a mottled window (light comes thru, but you can't see clearly) on the side of the front door.

Well, as I stood there listening - I totally thought I saw someone on our porch trying to open the door! So I freaked out, and yelled for my husband to wake up and come help - as I ran to the kitchen and of course all the knives were in the dishwasher, so I fumbled around trying to grab one and told him to turn on a light - maybe it would scare him away! (lol - I'm so useless in an emergency.)

He shushed me and snuck over toward the front door - the top half is a leaded window but has a cafe curtain over it on our side - peeked out - didn't see anything. I KNOW I saw something! So I asked him to make sure the sunroom door was locked - He did, but didn't see anything out there, either.

I still called the cops b/c I was shaking all over - my heart was POUNDING, too - it was crazy.

They were here in about 5 minutes (seemed like way longer, lol) but they were super nice as I tried to tell them what I saw without breaking down like a little girl, lol. They checked all around the house, drove around the streets in our neighborhood, said everything looked ok, but that they would be on the lookout and let me know if they ever found anything/anyone suspicious. That made me feel better, but I was still up until around 6am. Long, long night.

Anyway - after that was all over, and I had calmed down - I went back and stood in my bedroom doorway and looked out toward the porch and thought I saw another person out there! Stood there a while, and finally decided - I think it was MY EYES. I've noticed that my night-vision is going downhill slowly over the past few years (like I have to be closer to road signs to read them at night, etc.) but that plus the lack of sleep last night must've done a number on me. I just KNEW I saw a person when it happened, but then after thinking I saw another one - now I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Guess it's time for a trip to get an eye exam.

So that was our excitement last night. Fortunately, the kids and the grandfather never woke up during the whole thing - that would've been even worse, trying to get the whole house back to sleep.

Then, had to get up around 8 to make coffee and b'fast, shower, get dressed and take him to the train station this morning. Had a few things to grab at Target on the way back home - and I'm just now getting to post my update.

I'm ready for a nap, y'all, lol.

Caramel, how's your first day of no drops going? I want to keep up with your progress!

First of all ,myrna what a scary experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Sometimes I think I hear things in the middle of the night, especially when my husband is away and realize it was just my imagination, hope it may just be that you were waking up and your focus wasn't adjusted yet. Seem like whoever it was got scared especially when the cops came.

As for me up a pound from yesterday, sample some things at costco, that place can be real trouble sometimes, lol. However, I'm sure the hcg is still in my system because my hunger level is just like it was when I took them which is great. I still have to figure out how high to up my calories when on p3 and whether or not I will eat that high every day.

Great job sails92 on your great progress so far. I can imagine starting on the 4th was hard but when you are determined. I remember years ago when i weighed in the 190s I was at the point that I was so tired of my weight I started low carb a few days before Thanksgiving and stayed faithful and never looked back. Talk to everyone later.

What is with all the sample days lately?? lol We went to Target to pick up a few things like milk and lettuce and bread, and every single aisle had a sample on each end! It's a conspiracy!

I'm down .8 today. And I slept in for the first time in about a month! That was so nice, lol.

Think I'm gonna take the kids to the library then hit the Y. Have a great day!

Great loss myrna, mine is a .5 loss. Got to love those marketing strategies at stores today, they work hard to get in your wallet.

Posting late today and was a little naughty as I was out on my last "so not" VLCD, well I'm drinking water now but the damage is probably done. We'll see, fingers crossed.

Hello Myrna

on the loss, I believe any loss is going in the right direction and will definitely add up at the end of the week. I'm up a few pounds from yesterday's "food fest", I knew I would be, too much sugar, so today I will do a clean p3 day. I'll write in tomorrow and share the results of my higher calorie, no starch and sugar plan.

Ooh, good - I can't wait to read it. I'm getting more and more interested in the details of P3 as I get closer.

Well shoot. I could've sworn when I stepped on the scale this morning it read 175.8, making me -1 today. But after I made the kids some breakfast (hadn't eaten anything myself, and it only took a few minutes to make - I went back to make sure, and it said 176.8, twice.

So I guess I'm a big fat goose egg today. lol Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Hi ladies- Just stopping by to say hi and welcome you Caramel to P3. I am doing ok. I had hoped that combining juddd (up day down day) with it would be easy, but I am still battling the carb monster. I will weigh tomorrow (don't weigh after up days) and see if I am still the same.
Hang in there Myrna! Don't you just hate those fake weight readings? My hubby had one last week that showed 4.5 lbs down. Turns out the goofball had one hand on the wall (he has bad balance). He went for a whole day thinking he had lost almost 5 lbs over the 4th weekend.
Have a great day gals.

Hello myrna and Snaggle

Snaggle I pulled the old wall trick myself (I understand that your husband has a problem with balance) however, I have a problem with facing the truth. Did my first p3 day yesterday and up 2 pounds, I think I just had too much sodium so I'm just going to drink a lot of water today. My calories were around 1600 but I did have creamer in my coffee. Isn't that allowed

Oh well here's to working the plan. Myrna you and Snaggle keep the good work up. Snaggle tell me a little more of your plan. I'm going to be back where I started If I'm not careful. I understand the basics of juddd but how many calories are you eating and I believe you said you are staying low carb, right?
