M Y R N A !!! yowza, you are kickin' some major bootay.
Excellent results. You must be so stoked. I will admit I am jealous because I am up a half today. So annoying. I will also admit that I was kind of thinking and hoping that week 3 would bring me some great losses since week 2 was mediocre. This is, literally, the story of my life, dieting-wise. At 50, I should be used to it by now, but it still drives me nuts. Thank God for all the support from my gang here! |

I pray you hang in there Snaggle, I know how frustrating it is to regain lost weight and I too wish I were a little further down on the weight loss but it seems I've invested so much in the drop I'm just going to continue on. I, like you have dieted so much but giving up in not an option because I just hated my old body and eating habits. I think the reason I stop posting my stats is that I can't pull myself to realize at week three is it? I'm literally closer my starting point than further down. However, myrna, jabbok Snaggle, you all have been so much of an encouragement you really will never know what impact it has on me.

What a long day this has been. lol
Got SIL in the hosp, and they've started the cervadil, but won't start pitocin until around 6 - I hope things go smoothly for her - she is such a worry wart. She can't focus on HAVING A BABY b/c she's worried about everything else under the sun, mostly her other baby (that part I do understand.) Anyway, hopefully we'll have a new bundle sometime tomorrow. Caramel - GREAT LOSS - and I agree, the support from this thread is what keeps me going. I have been craving something chocolate since yesterday. I can almost taste the oreos in my mouth, lol. But I know I'll have to come here and fess up if I do, and so far I have been able to call upon that to keep my hand out of the cookie jar. I find myself thinking stuff like "I could just have one," or "I could just chew it and then spit it out," or even trying to justify that WE'RE ADDING A BABY, LET'S CELEBRATE (with a cookie) lol. I'm really going to be glad when this PMS week or so is over! It's like the little angel/devil on my shoulders - and this is the first time on any diet that I haven't given into that little devil. (so far, anyway) Still pounding water, though - Caramel - great loss for you, too! Snaggle - keep on keepin' on - you are still heading down from the start, and that's progress! jabbok - thanks again for the encouragement, from all of you, I feel like if I give in to these cravings, I'll not only let myself down, but you guys, too. This is how I finally was able to quit smoking 10.5 years ago. I wanted to have a baby, but not until I could quit - so I was able to quit FOR THE BABY - Why is it that it's easy for me to do something for other ppl and not so easy for myself? Deep thoughts. lol Night, y'all - big whoosh dreams and I hope to have a baby update next time! |

Thanks Jabbok.
GOOD NEWS! baby's here! I don't even have stats on him yet, but he's here and hopefully I'll be able to see him soon. BAD NEWS! I'm UP a pound from yesterday. No idea why, but it's kind of on the back-burner right now. I'll update more later. I'm so excited to see the little nugget! |

How exciting Myrna, I would love to get a new nephew or niece, but all my brothers are "snipped", so there will be no more. I guess I gotta wait now for grand-nieces and nephews. Enjoy the baby-smell! Don't worry about the lb. It will go.
I appreciate all your support gang, but I think I am going to call it quits at day 21 and not go another week. I will make a post explaining my logic on my post about "needing a reason to continue". I am still at 170.5. Caramel, as you can imagine, I feel your pain. I appreciate your prayers too sweetie! |

Aw Snaggle sad to see you go but I understand you have to do what is best for you, however, It does seem that you made some good progress. Can't beat how fast this works right? Sometimes I want to lose a little more but think of the other plans I have been on and how slowly I lost on them.
Congratulations myrna on your new nephew, that is so exciting. And just like Snaggle said that pound will be gone in no time. I think I read somewhere, maybe in the phase two sticky that those gains are definitely a possibility during this protocol. It seem though, that you are still on cloud nine with the baby. Enjoy Gods little blessing. |

Aw, snaggle, I hate to see you go, but I also understand your concerns.
Caramel, way to go on your loss, too!! We are packing up the car to head home, but I have to tell you guys it was all I could do not to eat that baby right up! lol Sooooo precious! I'll post a pic when I get home. Scale was nicer to me today, lol, so that's just the icing on the cake (I think I'm on a baby-high - I just love the babies!!) Beginning 199 Load day 203.1 (+4.1) Load day 201.4 (-1.7) ----------------------- Week 1: (-1.6)(-1.8)(-1.6)(0)(-2)(-1.4)(-2) ~ (-12.1 inc load; -8 from start) Week 2: (0)(-0.8)(0)(-1.2)(-1.2)(-1.0)(-.6) ~ (-16.9 inc load; -12.8 from start) VLCD15 186.2 (0) VLCD16 185.6 (-.6) VLCD17 185.4(-.2) VLCD18 183.4 (-2) VLCD19 184.4 (+1) VLCD20 182.6 (-1.8) I hope the ride home is UNeventful. We haven't even told my son or the cousin that the cousin is coming with us for a week yet! They were up allll night both nights we were here - and they are going to be so sad when we start to load up. Then we are going to say "Well, call your mom, and if she says it's ok, you can come visit with us for a week." Bwahahahaha - I love surprising the littles. Ok, have a good day, you guys! |

myrna, it's nice when the scale is nice. Glad to see things moving in the right direction once again and a
with staying on plan and losing to boot while away from home. I myself am down .5 this morning ![]() id your mother in law start the plan?I know what you mean about the baby. I have large gaps between my children ages. My stepson is going on 25 this September, and for a while he was the only child in the house then there's by daughter who is now 15, another daughter who is now 9, another daughter who is seven, and could you believe I got pregnant at 40 but God sent us a precious little guy who is now 4 and I still remember that baby smell.Well here's to everyone having a great hcg day! I'm hoping to go the full 40, maybe more, if I can hold out - I have my grandfather coming up tomorrow, for a whole week - and he's been at my mother's so he'll be pretty hungry (she's not so much a cook, more a microwaver) so when he's here I like to feed him real food. It'll just be a conscious effort to NOT lick my fingers and taste everything first. I only have one pic of baby Alex on my phone, the rest are on my husband's phone, but here he is - isn't he sweet?? Caramel - high five!! Let's keep our momentum going and plow thru this thang. How long are you planning to stay on P2? |

That is just awesome myrna
![]() ![]() ![]() , if I'm not mistaken, I think your numbers fall in the high range for the amount people lose on this protocol. I plan to go further too, only because I slipped up those few days and gained all of my weight back.My weight today is 148.5 and that little episode I went through had my thinking, I am close to goal however, my appetite came back with a vengeance when I slipped up so once I get to goal I don't want to turn around and gain the weight back so I was considering doing a phase 3 also. I wonder If anyone has done just a phase 2 and kept the weight off. |

Hmm, I dunno about that - I am definitely doing a full P3 and P4 - I thought that was what made the loss stick?
My plan is to stick with P2 as long as I can hold out, b/c I have read on this board that round 1 is the one that worked the best - like if you do more than 1 round, you will still lose, but maybe not as well as you lost when you first started. Does that make sense? I would guess that some of that has to do with the fact that you wouldn't HAVE as much to lose as you did when you first started, too - but - it's working for me now w/o too much distraction (except those dang oreos! lol) so I hope to ride the wave as long as it'll work for me. Then do a full P3 and P4. I am AMAZED at the numbers I'm pulling! Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would work so well for me. I was HOPING for the .5/day average, and was even doubting I could lose that. I really doubted the 'no hunger' part. But, I'm convinced. Whatever kind of combo this is with these pellets, the diet, and my body - I'm loving it. Now I really hope that the reshaping part of P3/4 works for me, too. lol I have definitely noticed less cellulite in my thighs when I sit down, and when I was leaving publix today I looked down and noticed my boobs stuck out a little more than my belly! I am wearing a spanx tank underneath, but that was awesome. Anyway - I forgot to mention the part about my nephew. Right when we were packing up the van, I looked at him and said, "Do you want to call your mom (at work) and ask if you can go with us?" As I waited for him to FREAK OUT cheering and whooping, he just sat down and said, "No thanks." WHAT??!! LOL I was totally thrown for a loop!! I called my sister and told her what happened and she figures that he might be scared to come so far and then get homesick. Apparently, he'd called her back to get him a couple times, from his friends' houses/sleepover type things, sooooo...We both thought that he would be thrilled, but what do we know? lol He's only 8, and my son is 9, and would probably pull the same thing. (Actually, I'm not ready for my son to go anywhere that long without me, yet, lol._) Another reason that it might be he decided not to come, is that I have more "rules" than they have - but she'd never tell me if that was why - I just thought of that on the drive home...It's ok, though, they had fun and stayed up allll night both nights we were there... So on to other things - Tomorrow my grandfather is on his way here on the train, so I've been to the grocery store to stock up on some good home-cookin' food. I've already started the meatloaf prep, made some spaghetti with meat sauce, and meat for taco night, got stuff for s'mores, blueberry cobbler, I'll make a batch of cookies and we'll have burgers and dogs for the 4th of course. Chicken salad, cupcake cones, deviled eggs, cornbread, baked beans, 7 layer salad, baked oatmeal, cinnamon rolls maybe (those take forever, lol) bisquits with chocolate gravy, french toast, hashbrown casserole, etc. I also made some extra lean beef patties, some rotel beef mix, grabbed some shrimp and chicken breast for me...so I'm almost all set. I'll be up most of the night prepping, but I enjoy doing that while I listen to podcasts with my earbuds in (ie block out the kids for a bit, lol.) It hasnt hit me how long it's been since I got to just cook. I miss it. Even if I don't get to taste it, the actual cooking part is fun, for me. Plus, I know how my mother eats, and he has GOT to be tired of microwave dinners and breakfasts that include nacho cheese sauce from a jar. Haha - my poor mother is a work-a-holic and never really picked up on that home cooking gene... Oh! My MIL got her pellets today and is planning to start loading tomorrow. I'm excited for her, and hope she does well. Caramel, how exciting to be so close to your goal!! I can only imagine!! Go you! You are doing awesome and I'm so glad you are determined to not gain it back. WE CAN DO THIS!! Ok, I need to get back in the kitchen...have a good night, and a great morning! |

Btw myrna, what a beautiful little angel your nephew is
. I went to the baby shower today and a friend of mine brought her 6 week old little girl and she is so adorable and tiny. I have forgotten how little babies can be. I am so proud that the only thing I had off plan was a few nachos, I ate a salad, skipped the chili with bean, pigs n blanket (that I brought), pretzel and sugar coated thingamajig, I ate some grapes, drank water, and even left before the cake was served.Don't worry about getting to goal, this plan seems to be made for you. However, I know you are doing your part also and I am so very proud of you but am glad I'm not in the kitchen with you right now. I am a visual processor and reading all of that food all I could do is picture it in my mind, drives my husband crazy how obsessed I am with, oops use to be with food .I know you are going to deserve a medal after this if you can still stick to your plan but I remember those days when I was so determined to lose weight, my husband would take the family out for dinner and I'd only have a diet coke, it was hard but the next morning when I saw a loss I knew I had done the right thing. It was times like that that got me to goal, at least once, lol. I know what you mean about your nephew, he is just so young and none of my kids have stayed away from home for a week or more, they are just homebodies. My weakness is chicken salad! |

Great job myrna, right into week four. Stay strong with the food, I lost another pound yesterday which brings me to 147.5
![]() my daughter (15) just made a cake,as you can see we all have a sweet tooth, but I'm not the least bit tempted. My husband is 6'3 and slim and all my children are just like him. They can eat whatever and never gain an ounce. I have one bottle of my drops left so I guess I'll have to order. Do you order through Netrition myrna? I might have to get your brand you are doing so well, however it seems to be working well for me now, talk to you later |

That is awesome! Good for you for resisting the cake, too.
Yeah, I just got the intermountain pellets that are linked to netrition on here - I got two bottles in case I wanted to go over 40 days, but one bottle is going to be plenty more than 40 days' worth. My grandfather's here now, and my word! This man can tell more TALL TALES than anyone I know. (that's the nice way we say it in my family, lol.) Ok, I'm off to listen to more of his adventures...haha. Good luck in the morning! |

Hello myrna, you are still doing so well and there will be days of no loss, then whoosh, especially when old friend visits, lol. I lost .5 yesterday and am now at 147. I was hoping for at least a pound but I will take that. Enjoy your time, talk to you later.

haha - I meant the (-0 lbs) was my old friend, but the other old friend is due in a couple days...and I'm starting to feel the bloat. Pbbt.
Way to go on the loss! Down is down, right?! Ok, now I have to get this out. I ate one french fry today, lol. I totally didn't even mean to do it - I was cooking for the 4 fellas in my house and seasoning real oven fries is tricky for me, so I just grabbed one to taste-test it and then it hit me - THAT'S NOT ON YOUR DIET! I didn't spit it out, though. I ate that sucker. lol Then at dinner, I had the very lean beef patty, tomato slices, AND a dill pickle. I know, I know - also not how to do it. ((smacks my own hand.)) I just had to confess, even if it wasn't THAT bad. I'll probably pay for it in the morning. I DIDN'T eat a burger, a hot dog, a serving of fries, baked beans, or any blueberry cobbler with french vanilla ice cream, though! So that's a little redeeming, right? My husband can rock a grill and everything smelled soooo good - on one hand, I can't WAIT to get back to a 'normal' varied menu, but on the other hand, I don't want to screw this up, either... My sister sent me a text-picture of their grill today too - covered in RIBS. She is so mean. lol Alright, I'll keep it short tonight. :P Fingers crossed for good news from the scale tomorrow!! |

you did really well, especially with all of those tempting, delicious, and almost sinful foods,
That is my main problem, sometimes I think oh well a little won't hurt, and how did you stop at one fry? We did not do anything at home, it was so quite because we stayed up late last night watching movies, and we didn't even have the traditional forth of July menu, however my husband already stayed two night in the tent with the kids this weekend and Fridays grilled hamburger meal I slipped up and at the bun , yeah it just fell in my mouth but I still lost after that. I'm trying not to do that too often. Here's to some good news in the morning! |

Oooh, I'm in a FOUL mood this morning. Got almost NO sleep, am up a pound, my kids got up about 3 hrs earlier than normal, and the sound of my grandfather's voice is GRATING on my nerves.
LOL - don't you wish you were at my house today? :P I need to go put some coffee in this tired body and work on my attitude before I bite someone's head off. (How many calories are in a head, anyway? Well myrna, it will get better, I had no losses, still at 147 and I ate on protocol, yes things can be frustrating but I believe in the long run we'll be big LOSERS!
When I was a teenager I remember a teacher telling me she had a rule that she doesn't visit anyone for longer than 3 days at a time, at the time I thought that was odd but now after a year of anticipation towards visiting my family for our annual cross country trip a week at my MIL and a week at my Moms makes me want to hurry up and come home and snuggle in my own bed. Don't get me wrong, I love the visits and the children have loads of fun visiting their grandparents but there is nothing like taking a shower in my own bathroom and having my own space. |

I agree. 3 days tops is always best. Keeps you wanting more, instead of wanting to stick their head in the oven.
Er, I mean, I love my family. :-P lol Ok, I think I've managed to get myself some nap time. Kids are already asleep b/c they woke up waaaay too early. I'm gonna give it my best shot, and grandfathers are ALWAYS up for a nap. Maybe I'll wake up in a better mood. |
