I am thrilled to have a weight of 149.5 this morning however, I'm sure it's short lived as I went to a huge fellowship but I must say I didn't eat like I use to. Now only if they would invent drops, pellets, injections that didn't just take away hunger but also made high fat and high sugary foods invisible. I know what you mean with the lack of sleep and lack of weight loss myrna. The day I had a +.5 gain was the day I went to bed and 12:30 a.m. and woke up at 4:00 a.m. I think I read about that some place so now I make a point of getting enough sleep.

Hey Caramel-- way to go!
I feel the same way about making food invisible.........
Just yestderday, I had to go to two parties where they had tons of fabulous looking food, drink, desserts, etc. and it wasn't so much that I was hungry, I really wasn't at all, but to look at it all was torture.
When I am here at home in my little hidey-hole, I can stick to protocol no problem, and work is a breeze because I am busy, but out in public...............at parties, and god forbid, restaurants,............that is a different story.
I wish someone could invent hcg goggles that can only see protocol foods.... lol, pathetic, but true.

In biology we learned that your body can only do its repair jobs when you sleep. So, it would make sense that inadequate amount of sleep would lead to less weight loss. Your body would not have time to recall some of the capillary network that it no longer needs and reabsorb un-needed support networks. This is true for everything, so adequate sleep is VERY important to overall good health.

Day 9-150 (+.5)

I couldn't lie and say day 9 was VLC but it definitely will go in the record books for me as I did not gorge seeing I was in front of all that food. However, I know I was over 1500 calories because when we left, (I must say I was patting myself on the back), my husband asked if any one wanted ice-cream, the kids all said yes so we headed over to Cold Stones. I should have resisted, I could have resisted, but I didn't. then later we all partook of a slice of heavenly carrot cake that we get for DH once a year.

With all that being said, I was nervous when I got on the scale this morning because I was sure I was going to see at least a +2 gain. so when I had only a +.5 to 150 I was simply amazed. I have a question for those doing this a while, do I just continue on with the drops like I have been? I was thinking it would be okay, however I am a little more hungrier this morning than I have been the past days. Will the hunger subside if I stick to protocol? So take this advice from me, even though I lucked out, the reason I started taking the hcg drops was because I didn't want the hunger and now it's back so eating out of protocol is just not worth it. Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

I can't say I'm thrilled, but down is down. I know the losses are supposed to slow after the first week, so there it is.

Here's to a great rest of the day, ladies!

You're right myrna, a loss is a loss and .8 is still a good loss and over time those .8 losses will definitely add up. Great job! Snaggle, oh Snaggle come in please

I can't think of anything I'm doing that isn't protocol, except maybe the hair conditioner, and lotion for my face... I hear Dr S referring me to the Liars and Fools section of P&I.

Is it within normal range to have 3 days of no loss already? Trying to stay on track, mentally, but man, this stinks.

Hello myrna, keep it up things will start moving soon. If you think it may be the lotions and spray see if changing things up makes a difference. You can also try swithcing the types of foods you eat. My loss wasn't that great -.5, was hoping for more but oh well.

I was thinking the same thing about switching up the foods. I'm doing fish today.

Glad you had a loss! I kept thinking about how ppl post that sometimes it takes 2 days for a gain to catch up to you, but it looks like you dodged that bullet! Nice!

I have a question - when you guys have your fruit/veg, about how much do you measure out? Do you go by calorie count, or eyeball it or what? If I'm having an apple, I'll eat the whole thing. Same with a cuke and tomato. But should I measure lettuce, asparagus, etc? When I do the strawberry smoothie I scoop out 1 cup of frozen berries. Am I eating too much of these?

You have lost an average of .88 pounds per day (not counting your load weight) so you are over the average of 1/2 pound for a woman, I wouldn't worry too much about it and wouldn't start changing a bunch of things, I think in the pounds and inches it says a stall is after 5 days where you haven't had any movement on the scale.

Also remember your body needs time to catch up to the rapid weightloss. Don't compare yourself to what other people have lost everyone is different and week 2 is usually slower for most people.

I've lost steady and my friend has had days where she hasn't lost anything, yet she has lost more than me. Each person is different and those no loss-days will balance out. You are definitely above average on your numbers, so KUTGW!

I'm sorry myrna, me putting my foot in my mouth again. jabbok is right on with the advice, you have lost 8.8 pounds and you can't beat that. From how you sound it looks as though you are in it for the long haul and I right in there with ya! Thanks for the encouragement, you rock!

I agree with jabbok Myrna, I would love to be down 8 net instead of 5, but I am still thrilled with what I have done. I am hoping for a whoosh, but will gladly take the .5 lb per day. I think everyone is different in terms of how their bodies respond and drop, then there is the whole water fluctuation element too. From all the thousands of posts I have read here, I can conclude that unless your total loss is less than it would be on a typical diet (1-2 lbs per week), then it is working. Granted, most diets aren't 500 calories a day, but even if they were, and you were burning 1800 cals a day (my bmr), you still would only average a 3 lb loss per week. For someone with a compromised metabolism, due to thyroid, or food sensitivity issues, it could be even less.

I'm down a half today myself. Was wishing for more, but cannot complain because I had a little piece of grilled filet last night. I make a special steak rub and it was deeelish!
Hi Caramel--- way to go.............down down down the scale we go, wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I can't wait until I'm in the 150's again LIKE YOU ARE!

I have to say, I just took my measurements for the heck of it and was quite surprised. Wearing the same clothes, there's definitely some lessening going on, y'all! Woot!

Last night was the first all-star little league game for our city league. My son was on the championship team, but didn't make all-stars, so we went out to cheer them on.

As we were walking from the parking lot, it hit me that my shorts that I wear all the time were slipping down a little.

Yeah, that was awesome, lol.

(PS - we won 15-5!)

Great job on your loss and congratulations on your son's win, I may have to start over because I didn't order enough drops on my first order (just one oz.)since I was skeptical of the drops working and when I did order I noticed after some time I hadn't received my drops so I checked out the site I ordered from and noticed they were on back order.

Today is the second day without the drops and I did well up until last night and started getting so hungry I caved. Hopefully the drops are getting here today so I'll guess I will just start over. Any veterans can chime in and tell me if this is wise or offer advice for what to do next, It will be greatly appreciated. BTW myrna I know what you mean about the pants, took me a long time to give my favorite pair up, but when the kept falling down in public I knew it was time. You go Girl and if I'm not posting in here again you know I started over but thanks for so much encouragement.

Aww, that stinks that you might have to start over, but I do hope you'll stick around this thread. I can't keep up with all the other ones on a daily basis, lol so this is my little "home" and you're like my first neighbor.

Good luck with whichever way you go. I know you'll do well!

Caramel, I am no expert whatsoever, but I cannot believe that two days without drops would mess things up that bad?? I would assume that the worst part is that you may be more hungry. Don't leave us!

Snaggle, do you think I can just continue on tomorrow, I know I'll probably be hungry a few days but I'm sure It will subside, besides I ate a little more today and just received my drops. I really don't want to do those full load days again.
