may the force be with you!!!
I know it's hard to walk past things sometimes but just think of it as a war, and the sweets are the enemies (for now. You can make a peace treaty with them later, when you've reached your goals. Hehe) Good luck! I know you can do it! |

Whohoo, I did it, PTL!!! There were so many treats of all kinds, some I have never seen before and, on two large long tables no doubt, I just didn't go over there. I feel better than I would feel if someone would have just given me a thousand bucks, well maybe not lol:blush:
We had a salad with ranch dressing, green beans, rice, chicken (a little breading and sauce on the chicken, oh well). I didn't eat the rice or roll. Man this is so major for me. I have been thinking of this all week as we have a music meeting luncheon at our church each year and I just gorge on the sweets and feel guilty later. Not Today! I don't know too much of the type of ranch dressing we had, and like I said there was a little breading on the chicken with some type of sauce, but hopefully that will be okay, it wasn't fried. My weight tomorrow, however, will really be the indicator of how I did.

![]() Regardless of what the scale says, you won *today.* I know how your brain starts trying to rationalize your sweet tooth and man, it is HARD to shut that voice up, but YOU TOTALLY DID! I'm so happy for you. Now, chug some water and get that loss in the morning, girl! Woo hoo! ![]() |

Down 0.4 to 168.4.
I'll take it! I was hoping to see virgin territory before the end of the week, but down is down, baby. Hope you had a good weigh-in! |

Actually it was a good weigh in, no gain! I was a little concerned but still at 150. I really didn't want to have to have to use up a few days just to get one day's of weight that I regained back. Hopefully with this behind me, I can make my way to goal.
Great job on your loss, myrna, you are getting back to your lowest weight and I'm sure you can bypass that this week. I don't know about you but I love Monday's because I have the whole week to work hard on my diet. The weekends are the toughest because that's the time when a lot of things go on(dinner dates, parties for kids, barbecues, etc...). |

Mine are almost the opposite - we have scouts, ball practice, dr appointments, etc during the week - and I'm more apt to just pull over and get them some fast food when I'm not at home.
Then on the weekends, we tend to stay closer to home (except for ballgames, which haven't started yet) b/c my husband works nights, so weekends are family time for us. (Well, as a homeschool mama, it's ALWAYS family time for ME, lol - looking forward to my mom-cation next month!) Regardless - woo hoo for your weigh-in! Let's rock this week, too - I know we can!

![]() ![]() I'm down .5 today to 149.5. Not much but I'll take it. There's something about reaching the next 10's level on the way down(even though it's not much of a loss) that is so exciting. Here's to having a great day, staying on plan and avoiding temptations! |

Yep - new low for me, and yay for you reaching the 140s!!
I was writing on my phone this morning, so I didn't take time to elaborate much, but I am almost positive that the reason I have the bigger losses is because I sleep better. I have been taking 2 tylenol PMs to try and get to sleep and STAY asleep. I did it two nights last week and again last night - what's weird is that tylenol PM has never worked for me before, but now it is working VERY well. Now, I don't want to begin to rely on meds to get me to sleep, but I am glad to know that it works now if I need it to. And yes, here's to a great on-track day for both of us! |

Only down 0.2 today, for 166.4 - but I'll take it. I might have tasted a small sample of the chicken and dumplings I made yesterday.
But we won't talk about that. It was necessary to keep my reputation as a good cook, lol. Hope you had a good one! |

Myrna, down is down
. Let's celebrate that!I'm down 1lb to 148.5, I really feel like I'm opening a present each morning so I'm anticipating what I'm going to get. Some days I don't like the present, like the gains and stalls, but when there is a loss, no matter how small, it's definitely a gift. Have a great day! |

That is such a good analogy, lol. I can even add me taking the Tylenol PM so I can get to sleep (so Santa can come!) to it.
Great loss, lady. Let's keep it up. The kids had leftovers tonight, so I didn't have to cook. We have the guy coming to measure for carpet in the morning, and the 3rd bedroom that we're moving the 4yo into is now painted, but still a mess - I'll be glad when it's all done! I want my house back. The one where I didn't have to step over paint cans and measuring tapes, and all my laundry is done. (Ok, fine. The laundry was just wishful thinking. I've NEVER lived in THAT house, lol.) |

Down another 0.2 to 166.2 - only got about 6 hrs of sleep last night and can't help but think it's connected. *Normally 6 hrs would be just fine for me, and I don't feel tired at all, but I really have been trying to get more and it seemed to help the bigger numbers in the morning. I dunno.*
Going to take the kids to the library to do our work while the carpet measuring guy is here. I'm lucky - they love the library, lol. Then it's grocery-gettin' bill-payin' uniform-buyin' day today, lol. (Payday) Here's to a good one! |

I know it's great to see the scale continue to move. It's funny with hcg that you can lose small for a few days and then get some big loses. For me, I ate a little too many calories and sodium yesterday so I'm up a pound. Really didn't think I'd gain but that's my body.
I'll flush today. I also tried some new foods but I guess they didn't agree with me even though they are allowed. oh well live and learn. Me and my 4 year old love the library too, we go every Thursday and my girls beg me to check books out for them while they are in school since they can't do it through the week at the local library. Have a great day. |

I'm amazed at how many ppl I know in real life that don't even have a library card - I don't know what we'd do without ours, lol.
Hope you got a good flush and have good news this morning. My sister is having lots of days with 0 or very small losses, and she's getting bummed about it. I keep telling her that it's just because she has so little to lose. She's at 140ish and she's taller than me, so really, there's just not much to pull from. I still have plenty of 'reserve' to use, though, lol - I'm down -1.0 for 165.2 today - yay! |

amazing, 165.2 you're just a little ole thang now, lol.Well no weight loss for me but I won't complain, if I could just get water down like I should. I don't like to drink it and I know that is a big part of my problem. Even sitting here I can go over and get some but I'm so week. I'm just going to have to make myself do it because I have come this far and really want to hit goal so I must "Man Up" as my husband tells my sons. Have a great loss, I mean day lol. |

My sister said she's having the same problem getting the water down.
I'll admit, I'm kind of a water snob. I don't care for tap water, smart water, flavored water, spring water, etc. But I can guzzle plain old PURIFIED water (my favorite is the one with the blue label/Sam's Choice) from Walmart. It just tastes the best to me, and it's less than 5 dollars for a case of 24 20-oz bottles, so I just put that in the grocery budget. One of the benefits from doing that is that everyone in the family, including the kids, now drinks more water because they can just grab and go on the way out the door. Soooo - maybe you just need to find a water you LIKE? I dunno. That's what works for me. Here's to a surprise whoosh for both of us tomorrow, lol. Just 'cuz. Thanks for the advice myrna, and the extra pound came off so I'm back down to 148.5. I'm starting off early drinking my water. Sometimes I have the intentions of doing it but if I wait too late I end up going to the bathroom all night which disturbs DH because he rises at 4:00 a.m. for work each morning.
Hope you have some good news to share, surprised I beat you here but I guess I'm just ready to get the ball rolling early. Talk to later |

Yay! Good for you!!
I'm down 0.8 this morning, to 164.4. We hit the ground running early today, though, and I didn't have time to post. Took the kids to the zoo, and it was SO HOT. I don't think I realized how much work it is to be out in the heat, pushing a stroller, walking the zoo (on the hcg protocol/500 cals, I mean.) I didn't expect it to make me tired. Weak, even. Now I see why they say don't take on new exercise while you're on it. Holy moley. Eye-opener. There's more, though. I didn't take my lunch b/c I knew I wouldn't be able to heat it up. I did take an apple, and some cukes, but before we took our lunch break, I also dipped into the graham crackers I had packed for the kids. And I had half of Oliver's PBJ, at lunch time. Not that it really matters, but at least it was on whole wheat bread, and the pb and j are natural, not full of HFCS and all that crap. Oh well, it's early in the day, so I am going to skip the fruit/melba tonight, and just have the protein (since I didn't have any yet) and the lettuce. We'll see how it turns out, but I did what I did fully knowing I shouldn't do it - on the other hand, I really was weak-feeling and thought it might help that (didn't) so I'm ok with whatever. Moving on. Here's to a clean rest of the day and hopefully not too much damage tomorrow. Guzzlin' guzzlin' guzzlin' = my motto for the day. Fingers crossed! |

Well a couple hours after I wrote that last post, my husband's work called and said he could have the night off. Long weekend, yay! We decided about 5 minutes later to head to Disney, lol.
Hmm. This should be interesting... |

Have fun myrna, nothing in the world like Disney!
I've had a very, very long day which is why I'm posting once again at night. Not down any, which is a bummer and the folks at Costco literally shove the samples down my throat , but the rest of the day I was good. |

Ok, I'm home and back on track!
The damage is +2.6 lbs to 167.0, but that's ok. I am going to finish out the minimum for this round and then see where my head is, lol. My sister hasn't weighed in two days. I think she's losing steam, but she HAS stopped smoking for the past 5 days, so that's really good. It's not like she really needed to lose weight - I think she was mostly doing it in support of her husband. She hasn't said she has quit, but even if she has, the no-smoking thing is a hard/more important goal to reach right now. Hope you had a good loss today, and I have a good one tomorrow! |

Good to see you back myrna. Good attitude on the gain, and your's is not that much anyway. I've gained 3.5 over the past weekend. I went to c
Costco on Saturday and it was my daughter's birthday yesterday. I'm at 152 but from how I gorged yesterday, I'm good, lol. ' I'm trying to figure out if I should stop and go to p3 soon because before the gain I had a little stall. I'll see, for now I'm trying to get back to 148.5 and I'll decide then. Well I guess we all need to flush, flush, flush. Good news on you sister not smoking for 5 days. My mother gave up smoking at 61 a few years ago after around 40 years of smoking. I saw her struggle with quitting several times over the years and she said she just asked God to help her with it and that's all it took. I'm happy that she finally gave it up but my mother who everyone always thought was my sister because of her great figure has gained around 40's since , but I think she is just fine with the trade off because she has stated she wants to be around for the grandkids. |

Down 1 for 166. Carpet guys come tomorrow morning, and we have SO MUCH to do.
This is not going to be a "good" day - because we have to empty all 3 bedrooms, and I'm not a fan of physical labor or a house in utter chaos, lol - but I can't wait for new carpet, so tomorrow will make up for it. Here's to staying on track and totally ignoring the junk food that shouldn't even BE in my house anyway. |

Great on your loss myrna. Try, as much as you are able to take it easy. I too get exhausted during this phase of hcg when I do physical labor.
I had no loss this morning despite being on protocol yesterday. If this stall continues for the next couple of days I'll just go to p3. My body may just be saying it's enough. However, like you said, here's to staying on track today ![]() ![]() |

I woke up with TOM visiting and an extra pound to deal with. Argh.
Ran out of my water yesterday and haven't gotten any yet today - my head is totally not in this diet right now. Working on it... |

I'm working on it too myrna. Down .-5 but with day forty fast approaching and me gaining and losing the same 3 pounds, I think I may just go to phase 3 on Saturday. I'll be putting together a nice grocery list. I really wanted to hit goal, but I'm a knuckle head sometimes. Oh well.

Ok, I'm throwing in the towel on this round.
(warning! warning! big long post! you might want to get a drink before you continue, lol) I am not doing well when it comes to following the plan, and I really think it's because I'm just not as motivated as I was in round 1. BUT. * I've dropped 33 lbs, which is awesome. * I feel SO much better than when I started this in June. * My blood pressure dropped a TON. * I'm ok with how I look in a swimsuit now, lol. I really am! (Well my boobs have shrunk a little and that's taking a little getting used to, but otherwise, I'm good!) * I went to the Y today and ran for 20 minutes, and my heart rate never topped 145bpm even when I was going full speed. I used to hit the mid- to high-170's from even a slight jog. This is HUGE for me, because I really do like to exercise, but I was so self-conscious of my body, and every part that jiggled when I moved, and how my face and fingers would get so red and throb before I even broke a sweat. And - my kids LOVE the Y. I need to go there several times a week, even if it's only for their sake. But while I'm therrrrrrre - I like to workout. I sweated my butt off today! lol Plus, I think I could use a little break from "rules." I was trying to squeeze in another round before my trips next month and in November, but honestly, I just want to get back to my new normal for awhile. September is a big month for us because summer is over and everything is starting back up - we are doing school full-swing, we're back to scouts, we have fall ball 4 days a week, and it's almost pleasant weather again, lol so we are outside doing more. (We live in FL, so it's pretty much always "hot" but it got down in the 70s today - sure, it was raining, but still! lol) I dunno. I don't feel like I'm giving excuses but I'm sure it reads that way. Just not feelin' it right now. Been thinking a lot about how to carry on from here. I haven't lost any more weight on this round from round 1, and since I didn't do a full p2 I don't know if doing another p3/p4 is necessary or if I could even stick to it. I do still want to be accountable. This is key. I do still want the support I get from this board - especially from this particular thread because I still feel like we're partners in crime, lol. So I will continue posting, but I think it's going to be more along the lines of how I did in p3 - putting up menus, adding exercises, keeping my weight in check, doing correction days if needed, etc. Then, after my mom-trip to NYC next month, and then our family cruise in Nov, I will decide when to start the next round. Truthfully, I'd like to drop another 20lbs, but I know that's just a number on the scale. What I'd most like is to drop a few more inches from my waist, thin my chin/neck area a little more, and tighten up my upper arms and butt/thigh area. I'm good with the size of my arms/thighs/butt, and I really did lose almost all the cellulite in those areas in round 1 - but there's no denying I could stand a little sculpting/firming. Sooooooooo. How was your day? lol |

Hello myrna,
I feel your pain, believe me I do. Got back to 149.5, so close but I'm so tired of the restriction at this point. The weight is not coming off like I'd hope so I'll give it a few more days. ' I too like being accountable so I'll still post. If I continue to lose I'll stay here, but if I stall again that's it. I was going to start p3 this weekend but I started losing again. We'll see. I'm going to a ladies retreat in Nov with a friend and I wanted to be at goal and finished with p3 by then but time is running out I'm still so as what to do next or actually what is really best. |

Back down to 148.5 my lowest this round but I would have been very close to goal because I lost and regained 3 pound, twice! I hope I can be serious here on in and get to goal.
I plan to go to a Mexican restaurant nest Saturday however, they have Mexican seafood on the menu so even though I may go over calorie wise I can eat all meat. Here's to staying on plan, one day, hour, and second at a time, lol! |
