Up a pound from yesterday, however I think i still did well because my hostess (bless her) baked us skinless chicken. She did have sausages, rice, hot dogs, ice cream and brownies too lol. I was good and got a little of the ice cream but surly not worth a pound so I will flush, flush, flush!
You know I can still be mad at my body. It can't even give me a free bee ![]() oh well I'll just keep pressing on.Good job on you stabilizing, it has got to feel great to get to the point that you know you are on the right path and can still eat! Got to love that.

Yes, yes, yes - flush it out!
Today I wasn't hungry at all. I might just be cranky, though - and when I'm cranky, I'd rather just sit and be quiet all day, lol. Imagine trying to watch tv and having a person sitting less than 2 feet from you, and repeating all the talking points of each story. Except incorrectly. For example, "Hurricane Irene started coming ashore last night a little after midnight. Since then the coastal regions of NC have just been hammered. They could expect up to 6-12 inches of rain before Irene is through." Then, not 5 seconds later, the person sitting next to you says, "Said NC might be under 4 feet of water in the morning." And this continues. All. Day. Long. Now I remember why I planned to keep us all busy and out of the house doing other things as much as possible this week. Not only do my kids enjoy being out and about, and get more exercise that way, but I don't get stuck on the couch listening to a little confused news bite parrot, lol.For the record, I think that whole '3 day rule' for family/company should be a federal law. (Told you I've been cranky today, lol. I'm venting here so I don't vent in real life. I know he can't help it, but aaaaahhhhh! Mentally, it's very exhausting. Plus, I have a hole in my tongue from biting it all day long, lol. ) Anyway - here's my menu - still not writing/planning/counting calories. Just eating when I'm hungry and then stopping when I'm not. BFAST -iced coffee with HWC -bacon LUNCH -BLT on whole wheat, with mayo (I was not hungry at all for lunch, and on the phone for almost an hour with an old friend - I only ate b/c I knew I had to have "something" - I don't want my body to get used to a calorie count that is too low, that's for sure!) DINNER -Salad with bacon, cheese, tomato, ranch -dinner roll SNACK -ice cream and cookies from dessert that I was going to skip, but decided maybe I could use the calories since I had a light lunch and salad for dinner. Hope that snack doesn't backfire, but man alive, those warm cookies smelled awesome. I realized as I was eating them that they weren't THAT great, though. It was almost like when you would break up with a boyfriend, then get back together only to realize, "Yeah, this is not as awesome as I thought it would be." lol That might be a good thing for the future. It certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings if I could look at a warm cookie from the oven and go "nah, I'll pass" for the rest of my life - know what I mean?? Ha! Not likely, but would be nice. ![]() Soooo - I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings. I'm trying to think of a good field trip for all of us right now, lol.

Top of my window, at 169 today. TOM dropped by as well, and brought some baggage with him.
Today is one of those days I just want to go back to bed, and sleep, lol. Got a roast in the crockpot, and having a lazy day. |

Still hanging onto that extra weight but I didn't drink much water yesterday. Today back on track and look forward to getting the rest of the weight off, lol.
Kind of tired today. |

Must be going around. I have felt sluggish most of the day, too.
My menu (and what I cooked for everyone else): BFAST -Iced coffee with HWC -Bacon (they had sausage, biscuits, and eggs cooked to order) LUNCH -Strawberries and full-fat yogurt smoothie (They had leftover spaghetti or a munchie plate with crackers, veggies, cheeses, etc.) DINNER -Large salad with cheese and bacon, ranch dressing -Pot roast -3 or 4 baby carrots (They also had lima beans, mac and cheese, and country biscuits with dinner) -fruit trifle (They had a normal serving, lol - I had about half of one) I just put that stuff in parentheses b/c I'm reminding myself that although I am eating more "normal" food, and just until I'm full, I'm still NOT eating all the stuff I normally wouldn't think twice about. I really am aware of what goes in my mouth and what doesn't. It's kind of weird but it's like this little HCG angel on my shoulder, lol, telling me that I don't want to lose ground - b/c I'm not at the weight I want to be at yet. Not worth it. That's cool. Anyway, you said you didn't get in all your water yesterday - I don't think I did either - and I KNOW I need to have plenty more tonight. I just feel so bloated that it's hard to put more in there, lol. Hope you have a good number tomorrow. I know it's frustrating when you're on a roll and then ----- not. But YOU CAN DO THIS! I'm so looking forward to being back on P2. Have I mentioned that yet? (only about a million times? )Last edited by myrna; 08-28-2011 at 04:03 PM.. |

down a pound today so my flushing is actually taking affect now. Doesn't look like I have relatives coming, activities involving food, or birthdays in the next two weeks so I am deciding on a strict protocol.
myrna, you may want to come back to p2 but your menus are not looking to shabby now, given the fact that you are still stabilizing. I know what you mean though, given the fact that you did so well the first time, anticipating losing additional weight is definitely something to look forward to. I am going to get a good nights sleep and hopefully continue on a downward weight spiral ![]() ![]() |

Not too much to report today, was at 154 today but still have a ways to go however, with the eating, it seems I am in the groove of eating roasted chicken and spinach, strawberries in the morning and evening, and maybe one cup of coffee. That is it and that's enough!

Just popping in to say I'm alive! and I'm keeping track of my weight, but haven't been able to post it all yet.
I did go up 1.6 lbs out of my window but I'm back on track now. I'll be back home Tuesday-ish, so may not post again until then. (I hope you keep posting though!!) 8/29-170.2 I really feel like this was due to TOM, b/c I was so bloated my very loose rings were snug 8/30-170.6 This is definitely b/c of what I did the night before. Let's just refer to it as the "chocolate incident" and never speak of it again, lol. 8/31-169.4 That was this morning, before we took my grandfather back to the train station. I never did do a correction day, because I just didn't have the food on-hand to do one and I leave to go camping tomorrow so didn't want to go buy more food. I'm still taking the scales and watching the food that goes in my mouth, BUT I'll be hitting P2 the day I get home, and I cannot wait for that! lol Keep up the good work, Caramel - I know the 'routine' of P2 is very comforting for me, as weird as that sounds. On one hand, I get bored of the same foods, but on the other hand, it's a no-brainer when it comes time to eat. You are doing it! ![]() Last edited by myrna; 09-01-2011 at 12:51 AM.. |

Ah myrna, good to hear from you and that you are still within your window. You seem to be staying on top of it, if a little weight creeps in, just knock it right out the box
.Still at 154 but starting to feel that "skinny" feeling that I like so much. I was walking yesterday and I just felt lighter. Love the feeling p2 gives you. I have been at this weight before and felt bloated when not on a plan but eating right really does a body good, lol. I know you have been busy myrna so check in when you can. Everyone, have a wonderful hcg day! |

Today I was still at 153 but glad to report that I had no hunger throughout the day. Hope for a whoosh tomorrow though. Sometimes when I don't seem to lose one day I lose the next, that the hope anyway, fingers crossed

![]() I'm back early, thanks to the storm/Lee - I actually started loading yesterday, will load today, and then start P2 tomorrow. I'm sooooooooooooo ready! I weighed in today at 173.2! So that's up 4.2 from my window. I'm sure some of it was from camping, though - because I ended up forgetting my scale and kind of throwing caution to the wind. So now I need to copy my old stats in the next post, to have for my journal/history if I need to look back on them, and then start fresh for round 2 in my sig. Yay! I'm so glad to be back to this point, lol. It's like seeing an old friend, or something. |

Down a pound to 151.5 today
![]() , myrna, I know what you mean to be "back to an old friend". Although p2 may be restrictive, I love the simplicity of it, and nothing beats losing again.Myrna, no frets on the weight gain, I too hated to put extra weight on top of my vacation weight but it will come off very fast. Glad to have my p2 buddy back. Because of my 2 day interruption I'm going to take p2 a little longer this time, maybe even to goal since I only have 11.5 to loose. Today is VLCD 19 so I may do a full 30+ days. I'll see. Believe me myrna, I'm looking back on your menus for p3 when I start. I blew it the last time but this is too much work to keep going over and over again. tommyswife glad to you made the decision on the pellets, they are doing wonders for me and I hope the same will happen for you. Hope everyone has a great day! Last edited by caramel; 09-05-2011 at 01:50 PM.. |

Ok, starting VLCD1 on round 2 today at 175.0 lbs after load! Yikes, that was not what I was expecting, lol.
My husband is building a walk-in pantry, and there's "stuff" allll over the kitchen today - so hopefully that gets cleaned up soon or it's going to be a PITA to get all my food cooked. I went shopping last night and they were out of some of the things I use regularly so I have to go to a different store today. We're also officially starting our new homeschool year this morning (we do some things all year, but not all things...) so that's exciting, too. Have a good lean day! |

Myrna, thanks for the encouragement, I know you are going to enjoy the time you get to home school. I have a few friends that home school and their kids not only retain a lot of information taught but it is also a great bonding experience.
I have been doing projects around the house and seem as though it has never been cleaner since hcg, I have to stop my obsession with food and the need to eat even when I'm not hungry. Staying busy is the key! Like I said in my earlier post, the weight will come off quickly because you are just that determined. I'm down .5 today, really thought it would be more but I'll take it. Have a great day! |

![]() yes, got to love the first week. I can't remember having the headache the first time, probably old age, but I do remember it getting bad enough this time where I had to take Tylenol, and I hate taking medicine. What are you eating, I am really getting sick of chicken and spinach, but it is having a very good effect on my body, lol, ![]() |

I'm back to the same old menu, lol.
For lunch I have a turkey burger patty (I know it's not on the official list, but I've had good luck with it, and I like it better than the beef patties, so I use the very lean/turkey breast meat - I think it's 95 or 96%?) and the melba. Then, I make a smoothie with a cup of frozen whole strawberries, a cup of water, 2 packets of stevia, and a handful of raw spinach. The color of the smoothie is blah, but it still tastes like strawberries. You kind of have to find your happy taste here...but about a loose handful works for me. For dinner I have the very lean ground beef mixed with rotel, over iceberg lettuce, with melba. I don't have more strawberries, since the rotel/tomato is subbing for the fruit. To make the beef/rotel mix, first I weigh the meat raw by itself and see how many 100 g servings it will make. I used 2.25 lbs this time, which came to like 996 grams - so I knew I was making 10 servings. Then I brown it all, adding 2 cans of rotel, and when it's done, I drain the rotel juice in a colander. Then I put it in a bowl on the scale and divide the new number by 10 servings (I think it came to 103 grams each with the rotel in the mix - so it's not adding much, but the flavor is great. I use the spicy one.) Then I just drink water like it's going out of style, lol. Sometimes, I'll want a coke, so I found Diet Rite that has 0 calories, 0 sodium, 0 caffeine, and it's made with splenda instead of aspartame, which I can't handle anymore. So sometimes I'll have one of those during the day - and sometimes I'll have iced coffee for breakfast. If I have coffee, I use SF syrup flavors, and FF half and half. (I know that's not technically protocol, either, but it works ok for me.) So - that's what I eat, this week anyway. I do have chicken and/or shrimp sometimes, but this is what I cooked up already and plan to finish the week with. |

myrna, once again you are owning it! Nice to see things going down again. however I'm up a pound, it's one of those time when you are because I stayed within my calories but I did have beef in a taco salad, minus the tortilla, so I guess some sugars in the sauce, sodium? I'll flush it out today and stick to my tried and true, 2 strawberry smoothies and 2 servings of spinach and chicken, hey it works.Myrna, thanks for taking the time to add your menu, that helps a lot, and I see there are many lurking, so this information is reaching many. |

Down .8 to 169.8 - I was hoping for a bigger number this first week, but I'll take it!
Caramel - I hate those mystery fluctuations, but I bet you're right, something in the sauce. Hope you flushed it out and had a better weigh-in this morning. I need to try and post in the mornings instead of late at night. It's almost tomorrow already, lol. |

I'm guilty of posting a night too myrna.
Great job on the loss, you have lost over 5lbs so far right? That is awesome for 3 VLCDs. I flushed away that pound but that's all, was hoping to be in the 140's by the end of the week so we'll see. Talk to you tomorrow. |

Very close, down to 150 this morning with a pound loss from yesterday. I believe yesterday was VLCD 21 for me with a loss of 12.5 including load weight. Not the big drop I'd hoped for but I'll take it and I plan to keep going to goal unless there is a prolonged stall, which may indicate my body wants to move on. Talk to you later

Oooh, you are soooo close!!!
I'm down 1.0 today, to 168.8. My sister and her husband are doing this round with me, they started two days after I did, though - He's down 6 lbs in two days, and she's down 5! She doesn't have much to lose in the first place, has always been thin, but lately had some thyroid issues that gave her a little pooch - they are rockin' it, too! Woo hoo! Good day! |

Whohoo myrna
168 , wow your whole family has supercharged metabolisms. This plan was definitely made for you guys.I'm going to a luncheon where there will be a lot of sweets and I have already made the decision not to go that way. I'll only eat meats, veg, or fruit. I really need to conquer this if I am ever going to succeed at my weight loss goals. I know there will be a lot of temptations I going to have to avoid, so this will be the first step. I'll let you know how I did later. Bye Bye. |
