howdy!

barely over is better than wayyyyy over, right?? gotta look at the positive. glad you had a good holiday.

mine was great as well. spent the day helping move more stuff in her new house. then she had her first "party" there. played volleyball in her huge backyard. then off to fireworks we went.

eating yesterday was good. i kept it light on calories for B & L as i knew supper would be bigger. felt wayyy to full of dh's awesome smoked meat and my sister's guacamole w/ pork rinds...was a little skeered of the scale this morning, but was pleasantly pleased with the same number as yesterday.

today i am just eating without the crutch of tracking. i need to learn to do that and not rely on such stringent measuring. will see how it goes in the morning, i guess.

have fabuloso tuesday!

Sounds like a great plan. I'm probably going to stop counting but keep journaling after a few days. I'm still a little obsessed to get back in the 120s. Once there, I'll ease up a bit.

Have a great day!!

Good Morning to you Daisy Girl!
I am right at LDW. Calories at 1330 yesterday. So I'm feeling good. Seems like we're both doing a pretty good job of stabilizing at this point.

I'm basically doing low carb with additional fruit (far more fruit then I would do on Atkins, 1 cup cherries in my smoothie, 30 carbs). It's beginning to open my eyes to how many calories I was actually taking in doing Atkins. I was only counting carbs at that point. As with anything, I guess, you can manipulate the rules enough to still be "in compliance" yet not exactly efficient.

Hope your day is a stellar one!

that's pretty much what i'm doing too. LC with apples and strawberries every day. good to hear you're stable too.

i don't know my calories yesterday, i was trying a day just eating without tracking. even though i am still well within my 2lb window, i was up a pound from yesterday. so may have had a few too many calories...which came in the evening as they usually do. i do good all day and then kind of get struck with the munchies in the evening. am going to be more mindful of that.

just eating today again without tracking...i want to be able to just eat and be stable without tracking. will def track if things get wonky on the scale, though.

Morning, miss terri!

Well, steady as she goes! Down 0.4 from yesterday and just 0.2 above LDW. Very pleased! And with no tracking, to boot!

How was your day yesterday?

Mornin' Girly Girl,
Kind of perplexed today. Calories 1510 yesterday, water intake and outgo good, nice visit with Bernice and up today 1.3 today. Still in my window, so not worried, just perplexed. I ate a little late last night, but that's all I could think of. Although really it's probably just the whole stabilizing thing. I'm also keeping up with the exercising, and beginning to feel a little muscle growth, so that might have a little effect. But like I said, still in the window and feeling okay.

Congrads on your direction, especially without the tracking. Hope you enjoy your day!!

Well, bummer. Good you're still in window tho.

Is TOM looming? Or mid-cycle? Did you eat anything new?

Working could def be it too. Muscle growth is good!

Thanks for the insight.

Yes, muscle growth good! So I won't complain about that!

I had 2 very low carb garlic cheese sausages when I got home late from getting my nails done and they kind up upset my tummy, so had an apple before bed. All that was different and usual so maybe that's it.

As long as tomorrow goes back down I'm not going to stress at this point, but I won't be eating sausages at 7:30 again

Ahhh, could be salt from sausages then? no matter the cause really, you know it's water for whatever reason. Bottoms up on the water intake, today, huh?

Good Morning Carrie,
How goes your day today? Any big plans for the weekend?

I'm exactly the same, which is .9 above LDW. Not too bad. I think I'll cut back a little on the fruit and see how that goes. Not going to cut it out, that's one of the reasons I wanted to reset my metabolism was to be able to have some fruit. But I have been pushing it a bit with my smoothies. So I'm going to see if that has something to do with me stabilizing on the high side. Other than that, I pretty much like how things are going. I'm still journaling so I can see if any particular thing affects me one way or the other and I can count calories if I need to, but I'm backing off on the exact counting at the moment.

Hope you have a splendid day!

hi, there! day goes well, so far....as long as the fed-ex guy makes an appearance SOON!! lol!!

after enjoying my beloved BWW wings for supper last night i'm only up 0.6 from yesterday which is 0.8 above LDW so well within window. i'm ok with that. i soooo enjoyed my wings...only had 6 with a small side salad. i was stuffed! lol. i told ds i couldn't believe i used to eat 12-18 of them!

very happy with how i am staying stable.....still without tracking. will eat a bit lighter today to see if that brings me a bit closer to LDW.

i too am enjoying having apples and strawberries. i have an apple for lunch with my meat and strawberries, either in a smoothie of plain, later in the day. that's one thing i love about hcg, it causes the weight loss while EATING the very things we want to maintain with, which, to me, is genius!!

you, too, have a most splendid day!

Hey Terri and Dazy! I have been away from the board for about 10 days.

We are about the same now, Terri! I had TOM come and go, and I am 131.9 today. My last injection is supposed to be Sunday, and I'm considering switching to pellets to get the last pounds off.

Do you still have any fat on your stomach? I am losing from the top to the bottom, so I still have a muffin top and some fat on my butt/thighs. It's the fat on my stomach that's bothering me. It just seems like it won't go away!

Hey Maggie, Welcome back! You're doing fabulous!
I totally have fat left. I'm only 5'1" and have had a few more years of cellulite collection under my belt (literally)

I'm in stabilization mode at the moment on P3. I've varied from my high (where I am now) of 132.1 to my low of 128.7, but have remained in my window the whole time, except during my lowest (but I wasn’t complaining). So yes, I know the 120s exist and I'm not giving them up until they're mine! I'm planning a short P2 later in the summer, probably in August sometime.

you better be! i'll need a p2 buddy. i'm thinking once the kids go back to school. we are tentatively planning vacay for the end of july into august and don't want to worry about p2 then. school starts the third week in aug (i think).

tom started this afternoon. maybe that contributed some to my being up 0.6 from yesterday.

and a to you maggie! good to see you again. hope you get to your goal so you can move on to p3 soon! hope the fam issues resolve, too....not fun, i'm sure! ((hug))

hope you have had a great day, ladies!

Hi terri

I was writing about this on the alternative thread- but will write it here as well in case it has any relevance to you..

I have been reading the Metabolism Miracle threads(under other plans);
and there they talk about how a certain body type doesnt show fat loss on the scale in a straightforward or linear pattern;
ie;
you can lose lots of fat and have the scale stay the same , or bounce up and down and around..
or have the scale be stuck for a while , then suddenly drop,
or lose 10 pds on the scale and have it look like 20 on the body..

All of these things I experience! Scales are a fairly meaningless measure to me.. my weight does eventually drop over time, but it can be a long up and down process, and often I have lost more actual fat than the scale ever records.
So mainly I watch my body , the fit in clothes, and have periodic fat tests to determine whether i am losing or not.

If it helps anyone..

Thanks, Terri! My 50th shot will be tomorrow, and then Monday I am switching to pellets. I am going to stick this out until I get to where I want to be. I am losing butt, but honestly I can work out and get that back. I would much rather lose some butt and have a flat stomach at this point. Hubby can deal with it!

Good Morning everyone!!
It's a beautiful cool morning to start out with here in Calif. I hope the weekend and scale are treating everyone well today!

Well I dropped my Chocolate Cherry Smoothie in favor of scrambled eggs and actually took a break from fruit all day Friday and low and behold, my scale showed a 1.3 drop on Saturday. Who'd a thunk?

Saturday was a real challenge. DH took me out to breakfast and lunch. Had eggs Benedict (no muffin) with fruit (a little pineapple) for breakfast and then a bunless burger (with blue cheese, fried onion threads and sauce I know had some sugar in it) with a salad & caesar dressing. Dinner we both weren't very hungry so we split a steak and had the leftover salad from the night before. I was a little afraid to weigh in. Even had the leftover steak from last night to start what I feared would be a steak day for sure, but was only up .6. First time I celebrated a gain

So the bottom line is I feel like I "really" am resetting my metabolism. Typically I hear about it, read about it, try it and usually find that my results just aren't quite as great as everyone else. I got to say, I'm really "feeling it" with this whole HCG life style!

I do understand why people have said the P3 is the hardest. There is a lot more freedom (which leads to a lot more temptation). But I think the hardest thing is just being in a holding pattern and not wanting to lose, especially when you're not at goal yet. It’s been about a week and a half of P3 for me and I'm just finally "getting" the whole stabilization glow. Not only am I cementing my loses, I'm learning that I really can have a life without regain. And I'm learning how to better read my fluctuations as water, pushing the food envelope (either quantity or sensitivity) or whatever. And how to do something about it to not start the trek back up to scaryland. I also get the "advantage" of multi-rounding. By stepping away from P2 for a P3 break, I'm able to look back far less emotionally and see what worked, what didn't and what I can do to improve results next round.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

What do you mean "you'll need", you have, buddy!!

We get back from vacation at the end of July, so I'm thinking about starting the first or second week of August. Just about have the DH talked into doing it with me. He's done great this year, lost about 25# doing low carb, but needs a jump start to get things moving again and get to goal himself. We may use "Fat Flush" as a food template. He has had a lot of success in the past with that and remembers feeling real good when he did it. It was very hard to stick with the very low calories when we did it years ago, but I'm thinking coupled with HCG it really might make for a real double whammy! We'll see, I still need to add things up and see how it pencils out. The HCG really reminded me of it though, very similar diet with the two servings of fruit, a bit more protein and no bread sticks.

Hope the rest of your weekend is splendid!

Terri--I'll be your buddy! I am on R1P2D2 but I am going on vacation for 5 days end of July until Aug 3rd. A very knowledgeable hcg person said to go into maintenance while I'm away but then do 1 load day when I get back and jump right back in with the drops since I know I'll have more to lose. So I should be starting right back up around Aug 5th or so. Good luck!

Hi Nola,
Welcome back. I totally know what you're saying. My loses have been paltry compared to others and funny thing is my measurements have not been that impressive, but the way my clothes fit and the way I look has improved significantly. And that really that IS the goal!

I am having a little trouble clothes shopping though. I'm now at the bottom of the rung (or below) on the missus sizes, but I'm not comfortable with the junior styles. I need to find somewhere that sells smaller adult style clothing, especially after I complete my next round. Not a problem I ever thought I'd have and although I'm not really complaining, it's more of a challenge then I expected.

Thanks for you're out of the box perspectives. It has and is really helping me with reality!

Awesome Maggie! I started working out about a month ago to start toning the areas that were showing the less attractive signs of weight loss and I'm starting to see and feel the difference. And I've only been doing 10-20 minutes a day, but I've been doing it every day.

I initially wanted to do only one round, but I was getting to the point of not getting anywhere and starting to wonder to new ideas. The day that happened I moved to P3 and very happy I did. I'm stabilizing well, learning a lot and feel refreshed and ready to get to round two.

Good luck on the switch! I had no problems with the pellets and will do them again on my next round. If you have any issues with hunger or anything, speak up and we'll help you through it. But hopefully you'll transfer seamlessly!

Hi Nicole,
Welcome to the club, you'll be in good company.

There is a lot to be said for a three week (or so) P3 to stabilize, but I understand where you're coming from.

I kind of did the same thing after 26 days for my birthday. The mistake I made was I did a three day refeed and then back to P2. I lost a lot of ground and never quite got the momentum back. I think if I would have just moved to P3 and then back to P2 with a very small refeed I would have been much better off. So it sounds like you're setting yourself up better. The best advice I can give you is to plan what you're having and try to stick to it. It's so easy to loss control and over do it if you go into it with an open mind and open mouth

woohoo! just needed to 'hear' that you would join me in august. my kids start school the end of the third week in august, but as long as we are back from vacay i'll try and start as close to when you do.

and glad the day with dh was good to you. my scale was down 1.6 from yesterday!! it was getting a little too close to top end of window for comfort, kwim?? so was 138.4 today...0.2 below LDW.

hope your sunday was fabo!

Terri--so let me ask you this--if me doing 5 days of maintenance and then 1 load day when I get back isn't the "right thing" (meaning it messes me up some), will I still be able to lose once I start back on P2? I mean I know I might have gained more than usual but will going right back on P2 enable me to start losing again or could it really mess me up and then P2 won't work?

Thanks for you're out of the box perspectives. It has and is really helping me with reality!
Hi Terri
That is so cool about your clothes fitting better, and your overall look improving!
That is the goal at the end of the day.
Mini said she was looking better at 120 pds than 105 pds.. so it is not always about the scales.

Good work anyway..
you might need to learn to sew your own clothes..lol

I mean I know I might have gained more than usual but will going right back on P2 enable me to start losing again or could it really mess me up and then P2 won't work?
I still lost weight, but I went too far, for too long and gained 6.9# during my 3 day re-feed and it took the next 18 days to get it back off. If I were to do it again I would go P2 to P3 and back to P2, and I wouldn't re-load with carbs. But that's just me.

I hope you'll share how you do it and how it works out for you. Everybody is different. And the best of luck! We'll be cheering for you and here to congratulate you or pick you up, whichever way it goes!
