hey, sweet lady! good to see you!!

great attitude! and i totally agree. we need ot just LIVE, but be ready to correct immediately if necessary.

i am sitting at 0.4 over window. but am...or WAS...gonna keep it clean today rather than do a CD. BUT, alas, another supper out tonight. like i have said, i love them, but hate them too, ya know! lol! mongolian grill tonight.

last night we went to a wedding and i chose to eat some starch...first starch in p3...officially p4 could have started today so didn't think that was too bad. i am staying mostly p3 for another week though. am up the 0.4, like i said, but i know i went way over on calories yesterday and today may be a repeat of going over on calories. will def keep an eye on it and correct monday if need be.

question on CD's....what is/will be your thresh hold for doing a CD? like today i am 0.4 over, but was just planning on keeping it clean rather than a CD and then evaluate after weighing tomorrow.

Good Morning,
Well steak & egg day netted 2.1. I also added ACV.

I'm trying to listen to my body more. When I was .1 over, I felt good and in control so I opted for clean day and it worked. Yesterday, actually the day before, I knew Saturday would only be the beginning of a spiral up so I planned a CD even before I weighed in. I plan the same thing for when I get back from camping. It works against me a little bit. "Knowing" I'm doing a CD the next day, I might opt for a little extra. I think on an impromptu gain I'll play it by ear, if it's under a 1/2 pound and I feel in control I might opt for a clean day. If I feel cravy or likely to go a rye, I think a CD is called for.

Hope you have a great week!

yay on the 2.1!! did you just eat steak/eggs throughout the day or fast till evening?

i'm 1.4 over window again. doing meat/eggs today.

i don't get how this is supposed to work if i stabilize at the top end of window. not much wiggle room for fluctuations. do i readjust my LDW? or what?

Thanks Lilac! Kudu’s to you Onederwoman!

Hey Carrie,
I know what you mean next round I'm going to be more vigilant in the beginning of P3 to hopefully stabilize in the lower end of the window.

I did two fried eggs and a small steak for breakfast. Ground bison patty with boiled egg for lunch and Fillet with boiled egg for dinner. 2t HWC with coffee in the morning and ACV morning & night. I don’t fast. Torture is not a way of life!

i agree with the fasting! i tried IF and while i love the principles of the WOE, it didn't do much for my frame of mind. when my eating window would open, i would feel out of control and binge-y. not worth it to me.

I feel like when I'm doing a CD, I'm following different principals. I eat to satisfaction. It's hard to binge on steak alone. One of the rewards to myself (aside for the weight loss) is a break from counting. The first steak day (steak and apple) I did rib eyes but only one apple. I sure didn’t want to count rib eye calories. That’s how I did Apple day as well. No weighing, no counting. I really am trying to work this into a life style thing.

Welcome to the bathroom club. When you start writing poetry to Aunt Bernice your membership will be confirmed.

As long as the hunger isn't all consuming, stick with your dosing schedule. It will probably level off in a couple days. I think a lot of it in the beginning is mental and habit.

So are you on your own?

Yeah i am all alone DH left Sunday but its a good thing I can get going on this diet without distractions, he is gone longer than antisipated so that works out better I think, lol.

I am just getting a few headaches here and there but I am about to drink me some green tea so that will help.

He'll be blown away when he returns!

Potassium will probably help some of the detox effects, i.e. headaches.

my meat/egg day yielded just 1.2lbs this time. wondering if it's b/c i ate at my maintenance calorie level, 1880 and previous meat/egg days were just under 1400. at any rate, the scale was 140.8 which is still 0.2 above LDW. going to do straight p3 today with only one fruit serving and one salad and the rest meat & fat. i did have a cream cheese muffin for breakfast that has a little almond flour in it. so conflicted on how many calories i should be eating.

we not fasters, girl, remember???

i ate:
coffee w/ hwc in morning
1, 85/15 burger
6oz 96/4 burger
2T mayo
2 omelets of 2 eggs, 3 egg whites made "french toast" style for desserts each topped with a T of butter.
8oz new york strip steak

how was your day yesterday?

you know i have decided that one of my BIGGEST obstacles is overcoming the desire to eat when i know my stomach is full, not b/c i'm stressed/depressed/etc, but simply b/c i know that _____ will taste good. i suppose this is still emotional eating. i don't give in to this NEARLY as often as in the past, in fact very rarely. but that nagging, "boy some almonds and pecans would sure taste good right now." or "i would love to have a OMM" are very annoying.

our up coming vacation....i love snacking while driving. but i know it's totally NOT necessary. and i hate the nagging desire in my mind all the time. i *don't* give in to it, but dang, why do those thoughts even need to be there???

Congrads on the loss! The only suggestion I would make and only because it was a "CD", is next time you might want to nix the mayo and sweetener for the day.

I totally hear you on the eating just to taste. That's really my issue too, especially with Whip Cream. I know its low carb so I just keep eating it until I'm too full. At that point it's not exactly a "legal food". When I want to "snack" I've tried dicing an apple and that's worked out pretty well.

I was up .4 today. Last CD I was up .5 the day after, so I pretty much expected it. Puts me 1.1 above LDW. I'm okay with that, just hoping to make it through vacation in the window.

Hope your day is awesome!

thanks, for the input, terri. i know the mayo and sweetener was different from other CD's.

i know the bump up is a pain, but take heart that is WAS less than last time.

today has gone well. full disclosure here and to be totally honestly, i do FEEL better eating at a lower calorie amount...can't believe i said that!! LOL!! it's just more comfortable to not feel so full. NOW i just need to get my head to get in line with how i feel and not want to eat just b/c something might taste good.

will end the day at about 1530 or less.

how was your day? can't remember if you said or not, but what are you doing for your vacation?

I ate pretty clean so far, I few too many nuts while traveling, but not too bad.

We're going camping at Lassen National Park on a little "no motor" lake and going Kayaking.

What about you?

That sounds like lots of fun for everyone!

Lassen is an active volcano in Northern California about 5000 ft elevation. I will try to upload you a picture when I get back.

Nuts Oh yeah!

Terri--did you find the nuts to cause you to gain? I am going on P3 as a planned interruption while I'm on a trip for 5 days and wanted to bring almonds as a snack since we'll be on the go all day (junior olympic water polo games for my sons) and they're such an easy thing to tote around. BUT, I do not want to come home with 5 extra lbs on me either

that sounds like an amazing vacay!! would love to see pictures!!

and that would be 4-wheeling...not 3-wheeling...lol!

nicole...i would take walnuts and pecans too as they are a bit lighter on the carbs than almonds. remember everyone reacts differently to foods...they may cause a gain in one person and not in the next....totally a YMMV thing.

Nuts don't cause me to gain as much as stall. The key for me is portion size. Count out your portions, keep to it and should do okay, i.e. sliced apple and six-twelve almonds. But yes, go over board and you could well gain! Have fun on your break!!
