Thanks, I was pretty impressed with the KFC and all. I kind of feel like I had a little bit of a moment yesterday. Like Hello, you had a plan here, just follow it. It's so easy to drift when I don't set specific parameters.

I need to set up that dinner date with friends I mentioned, so I'm not on P2 then. They can't do the 13th. If we can make it the 6th, I'm good. If we can't make it until the 20th, I'll need to start the next week. I'll get it nailed down a.s.a.p. and let you know.

good morning, terri!

sigh...as i predicted...going out is just going to be me nemesis. up 1.8 of my 2.4. can't decide if i should just eat clean today as it's most likely water gain. or i did buy a bunch of ff GY last night. i could do GY and strawberries today too.

my meal was totally p3...a trio of meat: 6oz sirloin, bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken breast with seasonal veggies (broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini), salad with tomato, cucumber, onion, a little cheese, ranch dressing. but the meat was very salty. i *always* forget to ask for my meat unseasoned.

how was your day yesterday?

Breakfast - 2 eggs, 1/2 oz cheddar
Snack - Chicken thigh
Lunch - P2 Chili, green beans

Weight up 1.4

I know I'm retaining water, feet & hands are puffy. I ate dinner late, never helpful and I'm going into TOM.

Slammed ACV this morning first thing. I'm going to eat as clean as possible (kitchen still down) drink, drink, drink and try not to stress about it.

sorry you're up We'll figure this out! Or at the very worst, ride it out.

i decided to do FF GY with strawberries today. just feel like keeping it uber simple today. i am taking a big tub of the GY (17.4oz or whatever it is) and 4oz strawberries to eat here in a couple hours. hoping that will last me all day as i am going to be with my BFF getting pedicures and don't want to have to worry about eating the rest of the day while out and about with her. i will eat the same thing later tonight then, too.

Okay Girly Girl, careful what you ask for!!

I nailed down the dinner party for the 6th, so I start loading the 13th for ROUND 2!

I am really excited about it! I think HCG has warped my mind.

I'm doing okay today. It feels better not to stress. I let my scrambled eggs go a little long, so grabbed my pesto, super sharp cheddar and made my favorite omelet. I'm going to continue today having yummy legal items, push the water and see where it gets me tomorrow.

I was realizing (washing up my pans in the bathroom) that 25 pounds ago I would have used my kitchen being out of commission for the perfect excuse to pick up a chocolate muffin & latte on the way to work for breakfast. Times have changed; I have changed, all for the better! So I decided to be happy where I am, do my best and look forward to the next positive step. Doesn't mean I may not have a correction day in my near future, just not going to let it control my thoughts.

Awwww man! But hopefully knowing why makes it easier? Oh, who am I kidding, I know it doesn't!

Funny thing: it's been so hot and last night I slept in the tiniest wisp of a nightie. In trying not to be so bonkers in my weighing habits, this morning I stepped on the scale while wearing it and was HORRIFIED that I was UP half a lb. I was SO upset! Then I took the nightie off and the half a lb vanished and took another half lb with it! Who knew the tiny wisp weighed so much?

Hoping the scale is good to you tomorrow!

Yay! So glad we can start the same time. How sick is it that I'm looking forward to loading?? :blush: I thought I loaded good for R1 but I don't think I did really.

Good for you for making due with the bathroom sink and not running for that muffin!

Glad to know you're warped too. Makes me love ya all the more!

I on the other hand "over-loaded” gained almost 7lbs in two days. I am going to have a pasta dinner, the only thing I've really missed and maybe some other treat that comes up but not to the point of excess. I'm only going to push fats and proteins, but I'm not going to eat to the point of being uncomfortable. It didn't feel right then and I honestly don't think it did me any favors.

Thanks Lilac! I won't even wear undies on the scale, and if I still don't like it, I'll move it around the floor to see if it likes a better spot. It never works, but I still give it a try.

i loaded with protein shakes full of hwc, coconut oil (this made my tummy not happy so wasted that day). i'm not doing that this time. i feel like i "missed out". gonna eat steak/burger/butter/etc....maybe sneak in some pizza . NO SHAKES THOUGH!! lol!

lilac, that's crazy your weight changed so much after taking yout nightie off. may have to rethink NOT weighing nekky. lol! i usually always just weigh with the t-shirt i slept in. since i always weigh the same way (with the shirt on), i figured it had to be accurate.

pedis were fun. bitter-sweet. fun, yet sad it's our last hurrah before she moves. she's only moving 7 hrs away (st. louis, i'm in iowa), so, totally doable for visiting. she said her hubby had to buy dd and i plane tickets to visit since his job "took her away" from me. thinking of going over dd's b-day on 10-22 since it's on the weekend.

done with my GY day. i could only do 1407 calories with the yogurt and strawberries. i know i should do more, but i couldn't finish my second 17.6 oz container. maybe i'll have some more later. the first 17.6oz container w/ strawberries lasted me from 10:00 this morning till my tummy growled at 6pm!! (i did have half of a small decaf breve frappaccino from starbuck's otherwise, nothing but the yogurt at 10).

how was your day?

edited: i can't decide what to o about pellets. i *probably* have enough for a 23 day round, but am nervous that they could be deactivated or whatever and not working. i'm thinking that for only $30 i could start with a fresh bottle. what are you gonna do, terri?

Sounds like you had a nice day over all. Sorry about your friend, regardless, it'll be different, and that's hard.

I had a good day, didn't go for a correction, I know I should have, but I didn't. ACV morning & night. Pesto Cheese omelet, apple for breakfast, Cottage cheese & sunflower seeds for lunch, tomatoes for snack, Tri Tip blue cheese salad for dinner, whip cream for dessert, two glasses of wine. We'll see. If I'm down I'm really going to have to think about this. If I'm not, I think I might try an apple/steak day. "But I won't worry about that today; I'll worry about that tomorrow".

I believe I have plenty of pellets too. I haven't heard about them deactivating like the drops (one of the reasons I chose that route). I've kept mine in a dry dark drawer away for any electronics, it hasn't been that long,I can't see any reason not to use them.

well, i think that was my only GY day. i LOVE The full fat greek yogurt....but not THAT much at one time. PLUS it only yielded a 1 lb loss where my steak/egg days yielded over 2lbs. so am 140.4 today. LDW is 138.6. keeping it CLEAN from now on. i *thought* i have been clean, but reading various menus that shelby has posted showed me mine...not so much. have had 2 eggs with butter, an apple, & coffee with hwc this morning.

i think i'm still "under the influence" as far as hormones. i generally have a pretty intense mid-cycle. my left side (ovary) is still soooo tender. so, i think i'm still retaining from that.

re pellets...mine have been in my kitchen cupboard. BUT, my microwave is on the counter below the cupboard and over about 4 ft. you think they are ok?

I'm down .8 from my regular day. I'm thinking I'm in the same boat as you, "the under the influence blues" I'm glad you're in your window, me too. Marie made me feel a lot better and less stressed. She typically stabilizes in the high end of her window too.

Did you notice any difference in your hunger towards the end of your first round? If not, your pellets are probably okay. $30 isn't a bad investment for peace of mind, if you're unsure. Particularly if you need anything else, like 0 Calorie dressing, etc. The prices are pretty good here and the shipping is flat rate of $4.99 for whatever.

congrats on your 0.8!! has to feel good after eating "normally" (what is that anymore, anyway...lol)

will be anxious to see what the scale says tomorrow after eating straight p3 today...no eating out/no pb/etc. not going to have any nuts (almonds/walnuts/pecans) for a day or two either to see if they have had any impact.

my pellets were fine while i was using them. i've just read too many posts about the apparent uber sensitivity of homeopathics. i think i may just get a new bottle. don't feel like risking it.

so i do all my tracking on mydailyplate. i decided to plug in my LDW (as opposed to my actual weight) and chose to "maintain" this weight. it gave a daily calorie level of 1906 (i checked light activity since i'm not totally sedentary, but don't do any formal "exercise")!! remember my other range i was staying in was 1560-1785. i'll take the NEW one please.

With moderate activity I'm getting 1997, with light activity I get 1771. Since I exercise 3-6 days a week, but not for long periods of time, I would think this would be a good range. We both have been eating way below that. Maybe some of the problem?

Hi Carrie,
How was your day? Mine was pretty good. I did cave and have an Atkins Bar. Those are really my nemesis! I’m hoping to compensate by no Whip Cream tonight, my other nemesis. Doing the ACV today. Hopefully that will help as well.

Right before we finished P2 someone recommended The HCG Dieter Gourmet Cookbook by Tammy Skye. I downloaded it for free, printed it out (it's huge, 177 pages) and shelved it as we moved onto P3. Well I got it out tonight to start planning some recipes. I have got to tell you it's awesome. I haven't even made it to the recipes yet. I really recommend it!

I officially start my vacation tomorrow. So I apologize in advance if I'm not here as much, but will try to check in whenever I can.

i'm good. i pushed my calories to 1900 yesterday. ALL clean and legal...(for once...).

but my scale wasn't overly impressed. 140.6. i'll keep doing the higher calorie for another day or two to see if i just need to get used to it.

i wouldn't sweat the bar. i think it's ok to have something we enjoy once in awhile. to me it's part of the re-training of our body. (did it have an impact on the scale this morning?)

what would be your take on why i always feel poofy in my face and hands in the morning? even after a totally clean day like yesterday i just always feel poofy in the morning.

i'm wondering about something and kind of afraid of what i may find out if i do this.

i had GREAT scale drops when i did only fat and meat. what if i can't have ANY carbs? it seems like as soon as i loose a couple pounds with a fatty meat/egg day the next day it nearly all comes back. soooo, i'm thinking of doing a meat/eggs/fat day at my higher calorie level and see what happens. i can't today as i already had an apple. but will maybe try tomorrow. this is something i was hoping HCG would remedy. i have done ZC before and dropped to 141. i decided i didn't WANT to only eat meat/eggs/fat the rest of my life so added veggies/nuts/etc back in. BOOM! gained 10lbs over a couple months. now...i haven't gained THAT much, but it's quite clear my body responds much better to meat/eggs/fat than it does to a mixed diet. now, under the influence of HCG i was eating BREAD and LOSING weight, but as soon as i not taking that anymore, the sensitivity seems to have returned. how do i retrain my body to like fruit, veggies, OCCASIONAL bites of carby things??? THIS is what i was hoping HCG would help me with. this also makes me wonder if would have had better losses in R1 if had not had any grains/fruits/veggies.

Oh my goodness, exactly the same this morning. Dare I say, I might be getting past the "under the influence blues"? Crossing fingers!

I'll bet your simple answer is the heat. Not very glamorous, but pretty predictable.

How goes your weekend? Mine is kind of a carbon copy of last weekend. Going in at 132.8. Had a lovely dinner with DH, Sis & her DH. Ate well but had 2 margaritas. Had a few too many nuts for snacks. Today I'm 134. Was planning for and doing a steak and egg day (compared to steak and apple day last weekend). Last correction netted 2.5 we'll see how that compares to steak and egg. But I do feel like I've moved into a better mind set. I planned on everything more as a lifestyle instead of a panicked response.
