Losing Shelley's belly:)
Hello everyone
![]() My name is Shelley and have just started HHCG this week and hoping to be as successful as you guys After starting off a couple of weeks ago on some "dud" pellets that left me so lethargic and near total collapse by the 5th day..I decided to go with the Intermountain Pellets that so many here had good results with. I loaded on Sat/Sun all the while taking the new pellets..and very leary, scared and not having much hope that this would work for me. Weighed 177 monday morning~(.5 gain)after the 2 loading days and made sure this time I took my potassium, B12, multivitamin and green tea supplement Had my coffee with stevia and a smidge of 2% milk and it was so GROSS! Bleah!!! ![]() Made some tea with stevia and not so bad~ Ate an apple around 11:00am Lunch~1:30 Grilled chicken on top of lettuce with a tablespoon of WF dressing..not bad. Low gnawing hunger but doable! Afternoon the hunger hit hard so I made a shake of FF cottage cheese (2 TBS) with 5 strawberries and 5 cubes of ice..cup of water and blended till smooth. HIT the spot! Realized I had already made myself "rouge" by doing this since it was only 4:00 and no way I could not eat dinner. Dinner was a beef patty with asparagus. 4 32 oz. of Tea sipped everytime my hunger was calling me.... The first day of doing dud pellets 2 weeks ago I was having excruciating stomach pains that had me bending over and breaking into a cold sweat..horrible! Leg cramps kept me up all night too.. SO I was expecting the same thing last night..and NO pain at all..I was pretty wide awake most of the night and contribute that to the tea with caffiene I drank all day so will have to taper over to green tea after 3:30. This morning it is now 10:38 and I just have a very low hunger..nothing worse than what I normally have right before breakfast. Wanting to be optimistic and LOVE reading all the success stories on this board..so inspiring! This is the biggest I have ever been in my life and after doing LC at least 6X and quitting by the 3rd week with less than 6 pounds loss each time I am very excited to see what HHCG can do for me. I seemed to be geared to doing HCG...its extreme but I need the rigidness~not good at Weight Watchers either..lost only 6 pounds in 3 months. ![]() The rouge things I will play around with are more protein, and cutting out the melba/breadsticks and occasional having 100 cal. popcorn or weight control oatmeal when my blood sugar plummets..cant stand that! Cauliflower for soups, Shitaki noodles, and green beans~all only occasionally to keep me sane and not feeling too deprived. Thanks to all of you that steered me towards these pellets and hope to be another success story here someday Shelley ![]() ![]() ![]() VLCD~Day 1~177 Day 2~174..down 3 pounds! ![]() |

ShelleyIf you follow the plan you will be successful. Your results with Atkins and WW are the same as many of us on here. You will be amazed at the losses you will have on hcg. Hopefully you have taken your measurements too, as the inches will also be gone, even on days you don't lose. I am doing Dr Simeons strict protocal, but there are many doing a rouge version and I know they will be more than helpful to you. Stck with and keep on losing !!! |

The first time I did LC..I went from 155 to 125 in a matter of a few months..it was surreal as I was never hungry, tired or felt bad at all. Once off..of course, I gained it ALL back and more! Doing the exact same LC WOL again was much harder to do and the losses were nothing like the first time. This last time it was horrible..had many days of no loss whatever and some gains..just couldnt figure it out and out of frustration I quit it and the weight..plus some..came back. I would like to be healthy again..nearing closer to age 50 and seeing so many older folks with SO many health issues scare me to death..just want to get a handle on it now before high BP, Diabetes or heart disease come in my life..all of which are in both sides of my family. Love the support here! ![]() Thanks so much Shelley |

Hi Shelley! I hear you about the "old" folks diseases. I have been hit with high blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes and I am only 44. I will admit, I have had high blood pressure issues since I was only 20 years old and at a normal weight.
I am beginning the first day of VLCD tomorrow. I'll be keeping an eye on you and I'm sure you will do well! Best wishes! |

Best wishes Chicamala!
Just lost my mom's sister..and at least 5 other family members in the last few years due to cancer and heart disease..so sad. BOTH parents have heart disease and mom had a stroke in early 40's..younger than I am right now ![]() Was smiling late last night to the reality of what I am doing. I had almost zero hunger and am just gobsmacked on how well these pellets are helping me. No weakness or headaches either..just want to knock on wood or something because I am never that lucky with things Those 'dud" pellets had me in total misery for 5 days and I swear I have a bit of PTSD from them..never want to have to go through that again. Lost 2 pounds this morning and couldnt be happier! Ate the miracle noodles with blended up in blender~1/2 can organic tomatoes/2 tablespoons FF cottage cheese and a dash of HOT picante sauce..SOO good! Less than 250 calories and felt like a million..like a spicy tomato alfredo pasta dish. Have to order some more of these..only 2 bags left from LC days. Still scared but getting slowly more confident...have a LONG ways to go! Nice to be on the losing team that EVERYONE wants to be on VLCD 3~172 Total 5 pounds in 48 hours! Need to get a ticker soon Last edited by ShellbellTX; 06-08-2011 at 08:27 AM.. |

Sorry to hear about the family loss. I lost 4 of my mom's siblings in one year to cancer and then lost my mom 2 years after that to cancer. It's tough and sobering to know your body is that vulnerable....and yet I lived so long as if I couldn't do any damage!
Congrats on the lost 5 pounds so far! Glad you are not feeling hungry. That definitely helps! Today is my first day on VLC....it's only 11 a.m....but, well, I don't feel hungry. LOL |

Down to 170.4 this morning..had to weigh myself 4X to really believe it! So amazed that I am finally losing this blobby globby fat!
I also have had Shirataki noodles almost every night and still losing..so nice to have something that taste SO naughty but virtually nothing in them to be guilty about. :P Gone swimming with daughters all week too and able to have the energy to DO it. Still obsmacked that the HHCG pellets are working for me..had some moments of real hunger today..I couldnt stop thinking about bad food~chicken fried steak..gravy..rolls! Drinking green tea constantly and I think I am going to make it. Have an aunt visiting from New Jersey..she wants to go to restaurant tomorrow and Saturday with family..Scared on what to order as I cant get out of it. Salad with grilled chicken is my best bet I guess...I hope it doesnt set me back too bad. My sweetie daughter just finished out 4th grade today so will have her all summer. She is doing awesome..made all A's and one 88 high B" ..so proud of her She has mild autism but overcoming so much of it that no one can see it in her anymore..doing wonderful. I am blessed TTFN! |

Wonderful, Shelley!! Congrats on the loss! Your daughter is doing GREAT!
![]() I would order something like a plain grilled chicken salad. Eyeball the meat and try to eat what you think is 3.5oz. You could ask for a bowl of lemons to use as dressing (I'm not sure if you're rogue or not). |

I've never been a Walden Farms fan, but I found a bacon dressing last night that was decent. I was trying to find the chipotle ranch someone on here said was good, but couldn't find it.

169.4 this morning..so hard to believe that only 4 days ago I was closer to 180 and now I am seeing 160's! Crazy. Weird. Wild. Stuff.
Had some hunger pains this afternoon..took 2 pellets this afternoon instead of 3..seems to help others so hoping it will help me. Fri/Sat/Sun are going to be really tough for me as our family eats take out on those days. I had to order a stuffed crust cheese pizza for my daughter and hubby and it just about killed me to smell it and see them eating it. sigh... Made some ground beef..with chili seasoning and dry onions..over lettuce and WF Ranch dressing and a dash of picante sauce..it was Heaven and no longer felt deprived..next time will have to have this ready BEFORE ordering the junk food for them. I cant wait till I can ACTUALLY see the weight loss on me |

You're doing great, Shelley! It really is hard to watch others eat while on the diet. Hang in there, you'll see the loss soon! Soon enough, a pair of pants that are tight at the beginning of the week will be loose at the end.

My family, friends, and co-workers are all eating junk food around me and only rarely does it bother me now. I have to be having a pretty bad day for it to phase me. I just keep my eyes on the prize and if it gets too bad, I remove myself from the immediate situation. I've gone so far as to burn candles or spray room freshener to get rid of the yummy smells, lol.

I was on P2 for 40 days. The hardest day for me was when I was traveling a red eye. Sooo tired, and the smell of donuts seemed to seek me out. Cinnabon. Dunkin donuts. It followed me!
After a few weeks, I could be around people eating pizza, cookies, anything and it didn't bother me. I love that!! |

I feel for ya Shelley! I served my favorite dish to my family tonight....beans and weenies! It was so, so, so hard to not "sample" it. I had a very similar dinner as you to compensate for it and it really did do the trick. I am looking forward to chicken wings someday again, though.
I bet others can see the loss in you by now, no? You are really, really doing well! Hope tomorrow brings another good loss! |

Keep your eye on the prize Shelley. The temptations are gonna be tough...and I don't know if I could withstand just yet myself (so I am avoiding anything like that like the plague)....but, you can do it! You have your head on straight!

Had their grilled chicken with just steamed brocoli..it was hard to eat even half of it..stomach must of 'shrank"..its been a couple of hours now and I am starving so going to guzzle my green tea!
The smells of fried food and fresh baked rolls just about killed me..but I survived! |

Down 1.2 this morning~Total loss= 9.6 pounds!!
Have a BAD spell yesterday of being severely hunger, tired and just wanted to quit...made myself a beef patty and asparugus..drank 32 oz. tea and it subsided. Weekends are going to be so hard for me..hubby gets fast food for him and daughter and I hid in bedroom where on TV was one food commercial after another. Food is just so addicting for me..so will have to take all the strength in me to not give up. Drinking my coffee and going straight to ice tea when its empty...plus my pottass. B12 and green tea supp. ..I read that my B12 subliguals have sucrose in them so will have to get a sugar free one..they really help with the weakness so have to take them. I have read that L-Glutamine helps with hunger so will be looking for those too. I can sacrafice food and ALL that comes with it but I need to not be hungry or weak. Still cant tell much in my body loss other than under my breast are now some bones:P Took measurements on VLCD1 so will take them again tomorrow and see how much difference there is. Have to go grocery shopping today..will make sure I have ate lunch and tons of tea before I go..maybe chew some gum while I am there I ordered the Miracle noodles..they save the day for me and havent noticed stalls yet. ANYTHING I can do to make this work without suffering too badly is a necessity for me. Hunger in check this morning..odd waking up and not wanting to eat. Not like me:P Hiding in bedroom..hubby and daughter eating doughnuts in diningroom. Breathe! :P |
