I was so ready for a correction day, but guess what.

Or should I say WOO HOO, stayed the same. Third day in a row at 136.2. Despite my higher cal weekend (they just always are...that's my normal).

Red Sorry you're in the Crazy Tree! I'm glad my P3 started after TOM...but I guess he'll have his way with me in a week or two. What with the water weight and the crazy appetites (not to mention irritability)... it's never a good time.

Hi everyone - took my last dose (drops) this AM and am *almost* officially P3. Will P3 for three weeks then start another P2 round. Is that considered rogue?!!?

Anyhow, read through each line of this thread and have a few clarifying questions, as I will be following you all to the nail!!

Acronyms - can anyone help?

BWR
LCF
CD - correction day?
HWC
LWC
LDW - last daily weigh in (this one I know but for anyone else who needed help with these)

Anyhow, thanks for being so motivated and some great recipes, too!

Diana

BWR ? BMR is basal metabolic rate (or calories to eat) but don't know bwr
LCF low carb friends
CD - correction day yes
HWC - heavy whipping cream
LWC - light whipping cream?
LDW - last daily weigh in (this one I know but for anyone else who needed help with these) Close, it's actually Last Dosage Weight. For RXers, it's LIW (last injection weight)

It sort of is. Apple Cider Vinegar. Usually folks like the Braggs brand, as it has the "mother" in it.

GY - Greek Yogurt

Hmm...there are too many acronyms, aren't there!

TMI -too much information

Yeah, down 9 ounces today, only .6 over ldw. I ate so much yesterday, but no process food except the cheese. Hmm could be my problem. Cheryl try the shirataki noodles, just prep them like I stated. Do not breathe while rinsing the first time. I tried the miracle noodles and they are very different and very stinky. Publix sells the shirataki, I might try them on p2, I was so hungry and see what happens. Mary

Welcome, Diana! Paula did a great job addressing the acronyms. Thanks, Paula! As far as the plan you mention above, that's called Cycling. I am going to do that this round, too. Then next round I'm doing both a P3 and a P4.

Make sure you do your two VLCD (very low calorie day) tomorrow and the next day, then you can slowly increase your calories and fats, etc on P3. Woohoo! How much did you lose this round? Just being nosey...

Thanks, Mary! Someday I'll have to try those. I just ordered stuff from Netrition yesterday. Too bad we didn't talk about this sooner!

I bet this has been asked a bazillion times, but why is the target weight for maintenance the Last Dosage Weight, when we do several (two or three, depending) VLC days afterwards? Doesn't everyone lose at least a little more in those days, while we technically still have HCG in our systems? Why isn't end-of-those-days weight the maintenance weight?

Hi PFR: I asked the exact same question when I transitioned into P3, and then I, like many, didn't end up losing anything those last two days on VLCD. So I think that the idea behind using the LDW is as follows: 1) A lot of folks don't lose those last two days and 2) If you do lose those last 2 days, it might be very stressful to try to maintain the loss, which could result in endless CDs and lots of angst at a time when you really need to focus on nourishing your body and stabilizing. At least, that's what I believe, but I know that some continue to lose in P3 (like Cheryl) while others (like me) struggle a bit at first and then seem to get dialed in. Now I'm steady as a rock (knock wood) right in my window.

When are you transitioning? You'll have to keep us posted as to how it goes!

Thursday is my last dose of pellets, Friday/Saturday are no dose/VLC, Sunday (just in time for a Father's Day barbecue!) I start P3!

Wishing I could stay in P2 FOREVAH to lose the rest of the weight, but with vacation coming up in July, I just have to do it the (slower) right way. So, Sunday is the day!

I wondered the same thing, so I decided to "play it by ear" and see what happened. Technically, the hcg is still in your system for those two days off of it, so when I dropped a bit more, I decided to call that my LDW. But it's been a bit more up, then a bit more down and I'm just hanging out in the 171 range. My advice to you is to just see how it goes, then decide what number you want to try to maintain!

Don't go too crazy on the first P3 day, PorkFat darling. You don't want a correction day right out of the gate! That BBQ is going to be risky business. Try to keep your cool and eat small portions of things. I know; I'm no fun.

ENJOY IT! And don't be a dork and panic right out of the gate like I did if you fluctuate a bit the first couple of days. It's natural and I made a mountain out of a molehill. You will do fantastic. I know that P2 is awesome, and the feedback from the scale is almost a "high," but P3 is great too!

I'm just a week in and my body is continually changing for the better. Last weekend I had a little "fashion show" for my DH  to show him all of my cute "new" outfits (these are outfits I haven't been able to wear in about 7 years) -- well, guess what? I put on one of the pairs of pants that I had shown him, and they fit WAY better than they did a week ago! It's so crazy. I'm going to shrink out of them soon, so I'm wearing them tomorrow, and he said, "Um, I think we should go out tomorrow after you get home from school. And can you wear those pants? You look hot."

So embrace it and enjoy the whole ride. P2 will be back soon enough and you'll be nourished, feeling great, and ready for it!

Hi,

I am in P2, day 39. I am supposed to stay on 7 more days, but the last few days I have been super hungry, even shaky. I have decided to jump into P3 now. I think I developed immunity. I feel like a success because I have lost 25 pounds this round. I lost 25 in my first round, but gained back 10 because I pigged out the whole 3 weeks of P3. I have read this whole thread and am really glad to have you all along for the ride.

39 days in P2 is plenty. Why did you think you had to stay on 7 more days? Go to P3 and eat, Mo! You do know you are supposed to do 2 days (48 hours) on the VLCD without the hcg being taken because it takes that long (or 3 days if you're injecting) to work itself out of your system? You can up your calories a bit, up your protein amounts but stick to the same types of proteins and veggies for those 2 or 3 days.... Good luck! Sounds like you've done great!

I agree with this, completely. And then your TOM comes - and it's that window of time that helps you to stay sane!!

Again, I agree completely. I did lose 3 more pounds after I stopped the HCG. But it's been a learning process to stay in that window - and it's good for my sanity to have the top number reserved for TOM. I think it really depends on your body patterns and you have to figure out what is good for you.

Believe me, I know!!!!!! We are huge fans of classic southern barbecue . . . smoked low and slow . . . ribs, pulled pork, brisket, etc. etc. Tricky on P3 because of the sugar in rubs and sauces. Luckily I'M doing the cooking for this, so I'm going to have some control over the situation. Heh. I'm going to make this a P3 friendly meal if it kills me!

I'll try not to be a dork!

Thanks for the support! I am doing injections and working with my doctor who does either 23 or 46 day rounds. I fell off the wagon at 34 days last time because I do think 46 is too long, at least for me. Yesterday I even felt shakey and had to eat off plan. I am not taking an injection today and will do my best to stay on plan. I see my doctor today and know she will concur. The best part of all of this is I have lost weight for the first time since having a total thyroidectomy 6 years ago!

Will do! Netrition sells a few, and I haven't tried them yet. Will have to mess with my usual recipes and see how stevia-friendly they are. The problem is that so much BBQ uses honey for the stickiness and body. Hrmph.

Agreed on the potato salad -- luckily my family doesn't like it that much, and cauliflower salad is pretty darned good! I also have a killer broccoli salad recipe I'm dying to use in P3! Yum. gotta stop drooling -- it's really unattractive.

Since you are doing the shots, you'll need to do the 72 hours off hcg before increasing your cals and entering into P3. But you've been down this road before so you probably know that. Glad you are under Dr's care on this. Sorry you regained some last P3, but don't let that scare you this round. We live and learn. I found that going very slowly and increasing the calories over 4-5 days really helped me. I didn't have any hunger off hcg so that also has helped a lot.

Water weight, dude. Not a call for a CD, due to TOM. See what happens tomorrow and then you can PANIC.

Whew! Well, that's good. I second the motion that I'd love to hear what you use for LC BBQ sauce and rub.

So glad you found something that works well for you. Maybe you should consider using the homeopathic drops or pellets next round. I love my pellets! I could not be happier about them, and I never struggled with hunger. Do you think that the shots are better than the homeopathic? It's really not. Many folks have done the shots then switched to pellets and found that they had the same effect. And some said they had better hunger control and no symptoms of "immunity." Think about it! Then you wouldn't need dear-old doc anymore, either.

I am eating my first batch of Coconut Bark today (aka Cocoa Crack.) I made it late last night and had a small piece before hitting the sack. It was a little bitter so I'll have to adjust the recipe for next time. But good! Fast and easy, too. And my weight is the same today as yesterday, so I may be able to finally eat coconut oil!

Have an excellent day, ladies. See y'all later.

WARNING - incoming rant! Duck!!!

Okay here's the thing. Today is the day. Today is the ONE DAY out of the month that I go get ice cream for myself. For YEARS I've done this - the day before I start my cycle I get a pint of ...something. With chocolate. It's like a high holy day. It's a freakin' SACRED TRADITION!!! Like Christmas! And, and, and, secretary's day!

And here I am. Ice cream-less. Nothin' at all cold and creamy in this house.

Yes, I know. I can make a shake. Thanks.
I'm cranky, not stupid.
I don't want a shake. I want some HAAGENDAZ DAMN IT!

Ok. That's it. Thanks. I think I feel much better now. :-)

Okay, last post, I promise! :-)
I need to tell somebody what just happened! Today I put a bunch of chicken wings in the crock pot with hot sauce. A few minutes ago, in my hormone-driven-craze to dive into a feeding frenzy, I remembered they were there. Threw some on the plate, and they were SOOOOOO good!

Somewhere between wing number 2 and 8, the UPS man drove up. I hear a knock, he wants to give me a package and ask me a question. But right after seeing me, he lost his thought. (To his credit, I saw no laughter, he looked at his shoes and said he forgot his question...then left) "Strange," I thought, "he's too young for early Alzheimers." Then my teeth came to my attention - I had been going after those wings like a starving T-Rex, and I had that white stuff in between every tooth as well as hot sauce on my mouth! Sooo gross! ROFL Hey, he caught me mid-wing!! Ok - my feeding frenzy is done. I'm mensus-prepared now. :-)

PS: My UPS man is really hot! Just sayin'

Red out :-)

LMAO, Red! I thought you were going to say you weren't properly dressed! Ewww. Teeth jams are worse! He'll never look at you the same way again. LOL. My UPS man came today, too. He just knocks loudly and then leaves. I like it that way cause I can just go out and snag the package a minute later.

How did you make those wings? So glad you enjoyed them!
