What about self-tanning spray?

I want to do my legs. Is it something that's allowed? Any brand suggestions (that don't stink?)

In p2 it would be like using lotion, I'm sure that it would cause a stall.
They all smell like fritos, lol.

Drats! I'm going to do some research to see if I can find a spray that only has mineral oil.

I hate the way they make my skin smell.

I use a self tanning lotion(banana boat) without any problems. It gives a real light tan(I am really white) and I don't think the smell is too bad.

Thanks. I hope it doesn't stall me either.

I normally wouldn't do anything to break protocol, but my 25 yr. highschool reunion is June 11th and I will still be on P2. My legs are really, really white!

to be honest....I use ALL of my normal beauty products, from deodorant and hair care, to body wash and MAKEUP!! I tried to NOT use them, but it's very hard to find GOOD oil free stuff...well, my foundation for my face was already oil free with spf 15, but the rest is all regular stuff.

I have good losses and am pretty consistent, so I don't see any reason for me, personally, to change my routine.

I have to wonder if the effects of these products depend on one's age/resistance to weight loss/thyroid/etc. I mean, I know some men that could break HALF the protocols and still lose. Many women in their 20's can do the same thing. But if you are in your 50's, with hypothyroid, menopausal, etc, etc, etc, then it's a true gamble. Make sense?

obviously in rogue, but i do not believe you can soak in oils that easily into your system and metabolize them thru your body...the fatty chains of molecules are much to large, that being said im no scientest, and it could i suppose, cause some fat to enter your system, but are more easily filtered thru the kidneys unlike what you eat thru the mouth/digestive tract.

I can see the possibility of slowing down loss IF your prone to easily gain, but for the most part i think MOST people can use some lotions and be just hunkydory. I do think that some of the good doctors info is outdated....jmho tho.

I know in reality most people do not disban themselves of using lotions/conditioners/makeup/deoderant etc.

I have to use it, i have eczema and so does my grandbaby...infact we use a medication oil based plus we use eucerin cream. I use baby oil to remove my make up (eyes only), i used deoderant, i use WEN shampoo(its just cream...its fab, but im sure its a nono) I use tons of alcohol based oil stuff at work to clean my hands and soft soap to wash at work, so i have to use lotion several times per night...no way im gonna end up cracked and bleeding. I dont wear gloves when cooking..so even handling raw hamburger has to have oils in it. The list could be endless. I know of people who work at fast food that have successfully done hcg, im sure they too get plenty oils on them, as well as inhaling them. Im sure half the baby wipes out there have glycerin in them as well, i can.

I'm just saying, that as a rogue, the number one thing i wasnt going to give up was makeup and lotions..then realized the list was huge...so i just kept using my stuff. Could my wieght loss have been better without them? Perhaps. Would i have been ultra miserable...you betcha.

YMMV....again jmho

So, what kind of self-tanning spray/lotions do you all recommend? I'm on P3 and headed to vacation at the end of the month! In a new swimsuit I have yet to pick out
And I'm WHITE - very, very white..... I need one that doesn't turn me orange and is easy to apply because I have flexibility issues - can't do one-sided application! (I can't reach my left side of my outer thighs very easy because of left hip)

I bought some stuff, but it's not what I wanted. It's in a squirt bottle, not an aerosol bottle like I remember using a couple years ago. I also bought disposable latex gloves so I don't get tan palms! LOL!

I'll stand in the tub and try some today. I'll have to get my husband or one of my sons to do my back, which concerns me, I'm afraid they'll get it streaky.

Feild testing will be today. I'll let you know.

I have just spent 7 years living in Las Vegas - am naturally white as a sheet. Most of us there use Jergens Natural Glow Sunless tanning cream. It seems to give the best natural looking, gradual effect. For 7 years I used that about 6 months of the year! Went thru truckloads :-)

You do need to start using it about 5 days before you leave, though, because it is gradual. :-)

REPORT:

The Loreal squirt/spray stuff I got is very strong. I am all-out tan today, with very apparent lines of demarcation where I didn't put it on my toes and the edges of my feet. If I were wearing tennis shoes, it wouldn't show. But wearing sandals will definitely show that I have a very dark line that meets up with my very white toes and below the ankle.

Other than that, my legs are evenly tan. The self-tanner smell is present. It's a salty smell. I held my guinea pig and all he wanted to do was lick my arm where the self-tanner was applied, so I put him up. (Didn't want him to get poisoned by self-tanner ingestion!)

It is 'Loreal Sublime Bronze, Clear Self-Tanning Gel, Medium Natural Tan, GRADUAL tan build, quick dry.'

They lie! LOL! There is no gradual tan build, my feet are white and orange. The only gradual thing about it is that it took 24 hours to get REALLY orange.

I don't recommend this product.

Try to get one that has aerosol spray. This is a pump spray, it sprays one small circle and then you have to rub it around. It contains gylcerin and my legs felt sticky for hours after.

It would be better to get a lotion that gradually builds the tan. That way you won't be stuck with white and orange feet like me! LOL!

Beezer, the L'oreal tan towels are amazingly fool-proof (me being the fool!). No streaks at all and so easy to apply. Do just barely brush the knees and elbows and when you do your throat, make sure to hild your chin up for a couple of minutes or it could dry funny and show lines.

Oh and for the spray you used, the trick is to spray it onto your hands, rub them together then smooth it over your skin.

Bath and Body Works had their gradual self tanner at 75% off, I bought 4. The reviews on it were quite favorable, most saying no orange or streaks.

Also, before using, you MUST exfoliate to ensure even application.
