Way too much time on my hands!

***~~~Simeons Protocol***All Phases***Week Of 5-30-11~~~***
![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a thread for those following Dr. Simeons Protocol whatever phase you're in. I'm starting P3 around 6PM tonight! Got a a big old pork butt in the oven on 325 for 3 hours--smothered it in seasonings, fresh garlic and sweet onions. I'll have that, some broccoli with butter and a small Romaine salad with Marie's blue cheese. Maybe some coconut delight later on. ![]() I was 141 this morning, down 1 pound from LDW. Started out at 152 including load weight. I will do at least 3 weeks on P3 then regroup and decide how to proceed. See you soon! ![]()

I think so. I am having bacon and eggs most mornings, Chicken, turkey or a burger for lunch with salad and some sort of meat with veggie for dinner. Snacks are my trail mix or pepperoni and cheddar cheese. I am getting lots of HWC in as I am drinking two large Dunkins iced coffee each day.
I am down another 0.5 this am. I am under LIW by 5.3. I am not trying to lose weight!! I wonder if its because I am so stressed that my body is just burning more calories?!?!?! In any event, I have eggs and bacon cooking right now, that rotel, trail mix for a snack, cream cheese and hamburger/sausage mix for lunch, and a HUGE ribeye for dinner with a salad and strawberries and HWC for dessert. I don't know what else to do. |

Things are kinda slow, huh? Not many seem to be posting lately. Oh, well. I am back on my P2 phase and am down 3.2 lbs in one day!!! My start weight is pretty high so I am glad it is coming off quickly. My knees hurt so the sooner the inflammation goes away the better!! Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after tiny losses each day, and even a gain, I am down a whole pound this morning. Only 1 pound until I'm at a "new" weight that I haven't seen in a few years.

Morning ladies, today is my first day of P2. Dawn I can relate to the knee pain, I have the same issues going on. So my knees are always an indicator that I have picked up to much weight. So I am hoping and praying that mine come off quickly as well.

That's unfamiliar territory for me. When I'm stressed, I don't eat, and yet I gain. Hmmmmm. Very strange. I guess for you that's better than the alternative I have!

P3 day 1 down. Weight the same this AM!!! Was a little worried I'd be a big gainer.
![]() ![]() I'm traveling for work for the next 6 days and not where a wide variety of food is available...wish me luck! Keep on truckin' everyone! |

Up a pound today , I may have to start the Smooth Move again along with the Clear Lax, of course! No Berniece for a few days but I was regular before P3.
![]() I ate again after dinner last night much later than normal! Seems as if my body is devouring the protein since starting this P3. I took 2 HB eggs, roast pork and salad and strawberries to work yesterday and was ravenous by the end of the day--I didn't eat till after all my running around, then ate the two meals when I got home after 7pm. I'm taking a lot more meat and eggs with me today! ![]() Everyone have a great Protocol day! Last edited by catkin; 06-01-2011 at 06:50 AM.. |

Morning everyone. I am slowly working off the weight gain from my weekend. Isn't it amazing how quickly those pounds pack on, even if you are eating all P3 foods? I am down 2 pounds in the last 2 days though and only 0.5 above LDW right now so feeling pretty good. I'm a lot more comfortable with some cushion going into a weekend though and I have a work function Friday where I'd really like to have a glass of wine without freaking that I'll go over my window (alcohol always seems to do it to me). Oh well. All I can do is eat pristine P3 the next few days (no craziness with the HWC or nuts) and see what I see.

I posted on the P3 thread - I'm up above my window. It's gotta be the SF chocolate-even 3 little tiny pieces. Either that or broccoli! ha! Those 2 things are the only additions in the last 3 days that my weight has climbed. I had less than 1500 calories and I quit eating before 7:30 pm.
I should be doing a steak day today, but since I haven't eliminated anything I've eaten in the last 3 days, I'm a little nervous to put a big old hunk of beef in there! I will decide which correction and do it, though - because this is ridiculous.

VLCD26 for me. Scale is still being hidden away after my meltdown this weekend. I am sure I had a whoosh because I peed every 5 minutes yesterday. I was retaining water badly. I am planning on weighing myself Saturday morning. I hope all the gain since last Friday is GONE and THEN SOME!
Continued luck and success to everyone! |

Up a pound but still shy of 3 pounds from LDW, now I have tried to add bread, sugar, starch and what not and no unexpected diffs, adding .2 to down.3 each day so it seems pretty stable. Predicting a bit gains since I started excersice again after 17 years of couching

No clue as to how many calories I ate but I gained 4.2 pounds from Friday to Saturday which is pretty much impossible, even WITH all the food! I'm sure I was reacting to the nuts, cheese and/or alcohol, most of which I had had in limited amounts before then. Aunt Flo also showed up which I'm sure doesn't help the water retention. I have been keeping it around 2100 calories since Monday and am dropping steadily. I'm hoping for LDW or below tomorrow--only 0.5 away this morning. I'd really like some wiggle room for the upcoming weekend as I've got an event on Friday and a work conference Sunday through Tuesday. Planning to bring food but ya never know what sort or sticky situations I may be in--there will most certainly be booze involved--again! |

Decided to do the steak day after a visit from Berniece - it was an easy steak day - wasn't hungry until right before dinner time anyway. I didn't get as big of a steak as I would've eaten at home, just wasn't available where I went. So I'm hoping for the best at weigh in tomorrow!

Well, darnit. Not quite back to LDW this morning (down 0.2) despite eating clean for the last three days. I wish Aunt Flo would pack her bags and go so I could see if this weight is due to her or not! It's tough to adjust calories up or down in calories if I can't tell what's really going on. I guess I should just thank my lucky stars that I am within my window and stop fussing about it! (Shakes finger at self--STOP FUSSING!) Another day with a whole lotta seafood in it today for me--scallops for lunch. Fish and asparagus for dinner. Maybe I'll switch up the yogurt and go for the higher fat one. I've been eating 2% to keep calories down but I COULD go up 100 or so extra and just see what happens... Hmmm...
The grand experiment that is P3! |

Well I think I have an hcg conspiracy going on or something LOL. Maybe I should call it the "hcg curse" Really it is not so funny, but I also don't want to cry Every time I start a new round something awful happens in my family. In Oct it was my uncle's death, last round it was DD's diabetes. This round......my youngest has bronchitis. I was at the doctor's yesterday and then had to immediately go in to work. Actually got to work late. Needless to say I was sooo not on plan. I ate cottage cheese for my protein, had no fruit, veggies or breadsticks. And the water---ayayeaye!!!! Barely got in the min of 64 oz. Geesh!!!! My baby is on the nebulizer and the doc said we should keep it since he may develop asthma. Oh my goodness!! This is just what I need to hear right now. Great. Today is the last day of school for all my kids and I don't have to work until Sat. Hoping these next 2 days go better.
On the up side I did lose a lot!!! I am down a total of 7.8 pounds and am on VLCD#4. From just yesterday it was 2.8!! Still loving week #1!!!
