Thanks, Beezer! Yeah, she'll have a great summer, right along with her mommy! Now I have to find a place where we can go swimming together.

You go to yours and tell me how fantastic it is, okay? That'll give me courage.

I didn't go to my 10 year reunion, and we didn't have a 20 -- so I guess I missed that marker of time passing. No real loss, though if we have one in the future, I suppose I will go. I didn't like high school much, though... and I am still in touch with my real friends from that time period, so there isn't a lot I'm missing.

Hope the night is treating you all well.
Thanks everyone! I am down .4 as of this morning. I am going to go try on dresses after work. Wish me luck!! I am about 15lbs from goal weight, and I swear it's all on my legs (or I am being very self conscious, or both). This was supposed to be an organized and fancy reunion, but only 27 people RSVP'd and paid their $45/person, so now it's an informal get-together in some swanky wine bar, so you have to get dressed up anyway. I have been in touch with a lot of people of Facebook, but haven't seen very many in person at all in the last 10 years. It will be nice to see who got fat!

GAH, only lost 1 pound of my huge weekend gain. Again, that's ok. I've got a long few weeks ahead of me including running my yearly 5k race, then surgery next week, plus a few other events that aren't so fun so I don't have time to stress over this right now. It'll come off, it always does. Its just funny I've noticed on hhcg when I gain it takes forever to get it off unlike when I do atkins it comes off within a couple of days.

Something else I noticed, TOM is very, very light for me on hhcg. NICE!

Kathy, enjoy your vacation!

Cheryl, love the doggy pics, what breed is she? he?

As for all the reunion talk, I've never gone to one of mine as I've always been too embarrassed about myself and my life. Recently I reconnected with so many of my old classmates through facebook and I love it. I'm finding we have so many things in common and since most of their children are older than mine (took us several years to have ours) its nice to talk about my little ones and get their advice.

Speaking of which, last night was preschool graduation. I was so, so proud of my son. He has speech apraxia and last night they were to stand when they were called and tell the audience what they wanted to be when they grew up. He answered so clearly and so slowly and everyone understood him. Everyone was ready to tear up as I've been very open with all the parents about his struggles and the school has worked hard to teach the kids that everyone is different and everyone struggles with something and its their job to help each other out. His answer, btw, was "When I grow up, I want to be a dirt bike driver." LOL! The response means nothing to me, but his words, his clairity, his passion meant the world to me. So proud of my little man. Just wait, I'll post pictures in awhile!

So cute! My DD wanted to be my lovebird when her preschool teacher asked her.

I love that age! Glad to hear he's doing so well with his speech.

They're probably thinking the same exact thing. Sounds like it will be a fun evening out, getting sloshed at the wine bar. What could be better? Have fun shopping!

Awww! WTG, little boy!

That's so strange, Melanie. I am the exact opposite with cheats (hate that word) and plans. I love Hcg for that very reason. I can go off plan for special occasions and it only takes a couple days to get back to where I was, and then I move on down the line. With Atkins, a little diversion and I'm set back for a full week. Have you thought of taking the last 10 off with Atkins? Maybe that works best with your body.

My dog is a girl. Her name is Cisco (or Sissy, Sis.) She's 8 years old and she's a mystery dog. It's anybody's guess, really. I got her as a rescue at age 8 weeks! She had already been spayed. I can't imagine what the first 8 weeks of her life had been like, but she shouldn't have been separated from the litter before 7 weeks. They said "Spaniel Mix" and she was this little black puff ball, so naturally I assumed I was getting a Cocker Spaniel mix. Well, she's no Spaniel. Water Spaniel, perhaps. But I think they just took one look at her and said, "Spaniel!" She's got to be a kind of poodle mix. Whatever she is, I love 'er!

So, let's see some pics of your boy at his proud moment! Good for him!

So the pictures are all on my sd card which is in my car, which I'm too tired to go outside to get, lol! Did a 3 mile run today on my bum ankle. Both ankles acutally look swollen so I honestly think I'm retaining a ton of water. My ankles never swell, well, rarely. Anyway, it felt good until mile #2.5 when I got super thirsty. Blah!

I promise pictures tomorrow. They're adorable, be prepared!

Cheryl, I was thinking poodle something by seeing her too! I have a beagle. He's about a year, also a rescue and totally the funniest dog we've ever owned. We put down our 2 labs this winter as one was 14 with bad hips and the other was 12 with diabetes. I miss them but love having a little dog!

As for atkins, ugh, I'm actually dosing this week and next with added calories in order to keep my body ready for the race. DH and I were discussing this tonight and I think what we're going to do is a meat/fat fast starting the Monday after my surgery. This will give my body 2 days to rest/recover from surgery which I think should be enough. I'm going to cook a few things ahead of time before surgery just to keep us going low carb. I at least want to get down to 155 again before surgery. Only, what, 7 pounds to go, lol!

I'm having a rough week, foodwise. tom being en route is making staying on plan HARD, plus too many social things! I need to hermit it up to do this properly!

the canucks won though, so I'm very happy about that! it's just that watching their games with friends presents eating challenges.

TOM definitely on the way here, too -- wish it would just arrive and get it over with.

I've had a productive few days -- painting, hanging wallpaper, continued house tasks that have been undone forever -- and good workouts to boot.

I have, however, been eating an awful lot -- I feel like my legs are looking bulky, but I suspect that is impending TOM and also water retention from the workouts, as much as anything else. I always feel about 10 times bigger than I am when I have PMS.

I did manage the intermittent fasting yesterday, but I was absolutely starving after my workout -- enough to make me feel truly miserable. Today I opted for smaller meals throughout the day, and that was a lot easier to manage....but I think it ended up netting a lot of calories as well. At least it was all good, clean food, and low carb.

This is hunger -- real, physical hunger... not just munchiness, or boredom, or whatnot...

I know my muscle to fat ratio is high, and my activity level is high.. but I am still having a hard time imagining that I really need this much food. Hmmmm.

Oh, and a BIG thumbs up for the new rebounder workouts!!!! I did the first one tonight, and it was genuinely challenging. I suspect I will be feeling it tomorrow -- though it was largely cardio, so not a lot of deep muscle work... still, it used the muscles in ways I don't generally use them.

Another Stay The Same.

3rd morning at 136.2.

TOM arrived yesterday...so things are explained! I usually get my whoosh about day 4 since I started protocol...may need to P2 a day or 2 next week to get the LDW I want (at least 134 or under!).

Anyways, I should be pleased my body loves stability (new name for stall).

Working out of the house Friday and leaving kids with DH on their first day home. HAH HAH! He starts his new job Monday.

DD got commended on all 3 Texas TAKS tests, so proud of her. DS has gotten commended on every TAKS he's ever taken...but DD was not a good test taker. Until this year. She missed having A honor roll all year long by one point in writing class (89 this six weeks). Wish I could brag more on DS, but he's all about band and the girlfriend and schoolwork has suffered. Unfortunately 2 of his 8th grade classes will count towards his high school GPA...

Good Thursday!

R4 VLCD Day 3 - down a total of 2.4 but I am not updating my sig numbers until I get below my pre-extended load session . Another pound will put me at where I was prior to Friday.

Can't figure out why I am so comfortable doing P2. When I think of all the negatives: I miss eating out, I miss wine, I miss cheese, I miss real dressing, etc., I am a little baffled by it. Perhaps this is an eating plan I can always come back to if a year from now I stray from my goal weight (whenever I get there). That would be nice.

Cheryl - Cisco is a cute dog. My new puppy is doing well. She's so much fun. I wonder if I will have to give her substantial haircuts prior to summer when she's grown up. Her hair is so pretty though!

Happy Thursday.

No change today, but I'm not fretting. I'm looking thinner and that's making me feel good.

My food schedule was very late yesterday because of a shopping trip. I didn't eat lunch until 4 p.m., dinner was at 8 or 9 p.m. I also didn't get all of my water in. I didn't get my second dose of hhcg until 6 p.m., my last dose at midnight. So, I deserve no change on the scale. Maybe tomorrow I'll have an extra big loss?

After 10VLCD I've lost a total (not counting load gain/loss) of -7.8 lbs. I'm happy about that!

I'm going to try on clothes today, including bathing suits!

05/21/11: Started hHCG drops at 170.2 lbs.
After 2 load days: 174.2 (+4 lbs.)
R1P2 1VLCD: 174.2 (no change)

R1P2 3VLCD: 169.4 (-2.4 lbs.)

morning, ladies!

what are we, a bunch of college girls living in the same dorm? TOM right around the corner here too. but don't know yet if the hhcg will affect the arrival time or not yet. according to my last tom it should be coming any day.

so i haven't weighed since tues morning. after no bernice for 2 days (she only likes to show up when i am at home after drinking coffee...lol), walking a lot tues-wed (i'm not an exerciser), and impending TOM...i was still down 0.6 from tuesday! was happy about that.

had a great time with my friend. baby is cute as a bug's ear and such a good baby. her birth dad is kenyan, so she has beautiful coloring!! it makes me giggle a little to see her mama, with lily white irish skin holding this gorgeous skinned baby. mama's anxiety seems to be subsiding...but then i think having someone else around lessens anxiety anyway...so hopefully she continues to stay on the upswing. she had/has post-adoption depression which presents the same symptoms as post-partum depression. i didn't know of such a thing.

hope you all have a great day!

Morning ladies! TOM is just about out the door for me! When I'm doing hhcg, TOM is light but a longer than normal cycle. Normally its here and gone in a matter of 4 days. I'm now on day 6.

Best news ever is that I was down 3 pounds from yesterday. I could kiss the woosh fairy right now! My ankles aren't nearly as swollen either which is a relief as my run yesterday killed me and I suspect the extra weight from the swelling added to it. I'm still up quite a bit from my cheat weekend but I'm ok with that for now. I've got too many other things to worry about right now. Oh and in case I didn't mention is we're being pretty laid back calorie wise, sticking to more around 800 calories a day easily. Yesterday night we had smoked sausage and sauerkraut for dinner. Today I had an omlet with spinach and cheese covered in hollandaise sauce and will have a taco-ish type salad for dinner. I'm trying to keep the calories up a bit so I don't get woozy before my race this weekend and to prepare for surgery next weekend. One thing I am being strict about it my water intake. Yesterday I made sure I got my water in for the first time in a good week and I had a wonderful woosh!

Beezer have fun trying on clothes! I can't believe how much my mid section has shrunk and get this. I bought a new pair of pants on Friday night to wear on Saturday date night. When I tried them on they were so tight I had to literally lay down to get them buttoned. Saturday night they were so lose I had to go buy new pants and these literally when on and off without unzipping or buttoning. Shockingly I bought size 5s! I've never been a size 5!

I think it's the same. So you have to find that "sweet" spot.

I actually do pellets in morning and evening, and drops in the afternoon cause they work much better for that time frame. Who knows why?!!!

Up .4 this morning. So I'm back to the weight I was on Tuesday. I am also feeling like a beached whale. TOM has just been spotting for 3 days. I wish it would just hurry up. I am really feeling down in the dumps. The refeed last week did nothing but hurt me. I have to eat off protocol tomorrow night, and then again in two weeks for work and possibly a few days after that for Father's Day. I am scrambling trying to find something to wear to my reunion and it's just ended up frustrating me.

Thanks for listening! I needed to vent. Stupid hormones!

Hmm, most of the studies show it doesn't affect total amounts lost...but does affect hunger levels. I don't think there are enough studies to know for sure.

I know the only thing that improved my losses was ditching the fruit and upping the protein, but I'm hypoglycemic so I think that was my personal thing. And the difference in amount lost was small...

I wish I knew how to increase my losses right now, but I think the long P3 is the best thing for me! (And I can't wait!)

I was yelling at everyone last night. DS got kicked off of facebook early, and DD yelled at for coming out of her room for the 3rd time last night. Maybe I should apologize today...feeling much more mellow.

Hope you find a good outfit for the reunion! Nothing looks good or fits right when you're hormonal!

Thanks, Paula! That is so true. Hoping I can find something tonight!

I'm sorry. I felt the same way after my first refeed of two days. I ate too much, was uncomfortable and saw no increase in weight loss speed (as they say it can do.) So all future days off-plan were less food and only for one day. That works best for me. But I really hope you get your Umph back soon. I hate it when I feel like you are feeling. It will pass. Stupid hormones indeed!

Wow, Melanie! That's awesome! This may be your best post ever! So glad you are feeling the results of all your hard work.

I am "feeling the results of all my hard work," too. I just weed whacked my entire front yard and it went very well. Surprisingly easy and fast, too! But as soon as I was finished and took a rest and a drink of ice-cold water, I felt my left shoulder wanting to seize up on me. Right now I'm working on range of motion and trying to make it so that tomorrow I won't be paralyzed! But the yard looks great. Now for the back yard.

I read all the posts but just don't have the drive to comment on them all.

Oh, yeah. Today is my last day on the pellets and I'm sort of feeling lost. I will still be eating low calorie tomorrow and the next day, and hopefully not feeling too hungry. I'm Skeerd!

Hey everyone.. I'm checking in with a -1.6(lbs) loss for today 6/2/11. I'm happy and feeling much much stronger and in control today. 1st-lcd was brutal and hard to get thru. 2nd days was also hard and yesterday I was still struggling... But today after 3-days on lc-eating... I feel like a new person... wow... hcg is the bomb.

WINNING!!!!!

It took me a couple days to get into the Zone too. But I'm really feeling in control and bright eyed to the future now. HCG has really been awesome!
