Im not too sure of that. I notice that I have line going up my stomach where the seam is though. ![]() As far as skin shrinking. Ive had 2 kids so im curious to see what my skin on my tummy does as I lose more weight. The fat there kept the loose skin at bay I think for a long time. I don't think I would use anything "tougher" than spanx. Those things take a workout just to get one, I could only imagine latex ones. Also, man would you sweat underneath! |

I have a Brazilian "shaper". Ive only worn it a couple times because it is super uncomfortable! It really does hold you in though. The south americans do believe that wearing them constantly will help reshape you. I dont know how they do it though! I was dying to take the shaper off! I felt like i was being squeezed by a boa constrictor! LOL

I've read quite a lot of testimonials of people having good reshaping results using compression garments... it makes sense, actually, to my brain. People wear them post surgically, to help the skin tighten... seems like the same principle would apply here with regards to rapid weight loss.
I do know that there is a community of people who regularly wear real corsets to shrink their waists (it is more of a fetish than anything.. not recommending this for the average person!) It does work. I'd think lymphatic massage would be fine -- even very beneficial. And as for the colonic... I am a believer in their health benefits, for sure. I don't care for the process much myself, so I avoid it if I can get good results elsewise... but I saved myself from needing surgery a couple of years ago with colonic therapy.

Good grief about a latex body shaper! You'd lose a lot of water, at the very least. I've worn latex garments (just. don't. ask!) Boy do you ever sweat!!!!
I'm curious about the far infrared technology garments -- the ceramic workout shorts in particular. They tend to get rave reviews. I can be a bit of a sucker for gadgets.... made worse by the fact that I've acquired a few that really do work wonders. |

![]() Minimonkey, corset training has interested me for years. I know it works. Once I actually HAVE a waist, this might be the path I try. Besides, corsets are way sexy. ![]() I think if Bernice should go MIA, I might break out that colonic board. My daughter and husband laugh at me through the bathroom door for the entire time. ![]() |

The body shaper I bought is pretty easy to get into. It's got a long row of hook and eyes for closure so you really don't have to squeeze into it, just hold your breath as you close it (that took a little time as I was giggling a lot with hubby there watching me). Tried it on last night and wore it around the house. Not too bad at all. OMG if that was a sneak peek at how my figure will look - I'LL TAKE IT! Firm and curvy and vavavaVOOM!
![]() Today will be the test of wearing it for a full day!

Four hours in. Not sweaty and can breathe. I am LOVING this! I wore a form fitting dress to work with no bulges anywhere and have had several co-workers comment on how wonderful I look "doing my diet thing."

Yes and it was not bad AT ALL. I can understand the squeezing thing if you relied on stretch to get it on, but the hook and eyes make it super easy.
Don't fear the brazilian latex is all I have to say! I will be watching my fatty parts to see if there is any difference with the whole hcg re-shaping thing. Gosh, I hope so! |

Have you been to the bathroom yet? I always had a horrible time dealing with a shaper in a bathroom stall. I only get the kind that are stretchy/soft now, so it's more like pulling off and on bike shorts. |

If it just had an open area, I'm positive that I'd pee sideways and get it wet. I'm just dorky that way. (I can't pee while keeping a bathing suit on and not get it wet.) One time I peed on my own shoe in a bathroom stall. It was a horrible 'hovering' disaster. ![]() Last edited by Beezer Louisiana; 06-01-2011 at 03:26 PM.. |

Nope, it is totally open in the crotch. I have this in black. And so far, so good on not peeing on anything. I just sort of make sure my legs are as wide as possible while on the commode. Sorry for the TMI.
![]() http://www.goldengirdles.com/media/c..._closeup_2.jpg Goofy as it may look, because I don't ever go commando, I have my unmentionables on OVER the body shaper. If a breeze blew my dress up, I would DIE of embarrassment. |

I've never seen one like that. Cool!
Mine are more like bike shorts, very stretchy. I think they are called thigh slimmers. |

Yep I wanted something industrial strength that would tackle everything - back fat, tummy roll, hip blubber, thigh bulge. I think I made a great choice and I have to tell ya - I wore this baby for twelve hours today!

C'Marie -- Many of the reviews are from Amazon customers, but other sites also have customer review sections as well. When I find a product that interests me, I tend to google it to death looking for people's experiences.
I got my tax refund, and I broke down and bought the far infrared capri pants... I couldn't resist. I also bought compression shorts and a pair of compression tights (those can be worn like regular leggings.) Google "Delfin Spa ceramic" -- that should pull the product up for you. |

Lilac -- I never did serious corset training, but I know people who have, and the results are pretty astounding.
I used to wear corsets quite a bit -- still do, when I have occasion for it -- and even intermittent wear does shape the waist. A well made corset is a beautiful thing, and they can actually be quite comfortable if they fit well. Hope your body shaper produces the results you want... I am seriously eyeing one of those contraptions. Brazilian latex must be different than standard-issue latex.... it just must.... latex garments are nothing short of torture worn for very long, even if they do look incredibly hot, in a born-in-a-tire-factory sort of way |

Um, yeah... can I just say that Squeem and Levi's don't really get along too well?
Definitely a bit bulky under here. ![]() But I reckon less bulky than the 46+ extra lbs I was carrying around 3 months ago. |
