On the Edge... of P4 ! And worried....

I have a few days left of P3 and was stabilizing within 2 lbs of LDW without much effort, until my TOM decided to jet me up two additional pounds!

My body did shape a bit and I had some additional inch loss in my thighs, so all in all P3 was awesome sauce.

So I've decided to not start P4 until I'm sure all the water weight or gain from my TOM is gone, so I will know what is causing issues with certain foods I will add in P4.

I'm armed with my probiotics, digestive enzymes and L Carnitine but I am worried about gaining still.

I read on another forum that you should eat approx 11x your LDW on P4. That would be roughly 2700 calories! I'm having a hard time eating that NOW in P3 with all of the avocado and butter... so how do I lower fat and add in carbs all the while hitting that 2700 mark?

Signed -

Freaked out and worried.

well, I'm not even sort of close to being even kind of an expert or knowing what I'm talking about (may want to stop reading now), but do you HAVE to add in those carbs? why not just have them on special occasions?

I know that my body works better in general without grains, personally. so when I'm eating properly (ie. no emotional sugar-stuffed eating, hahaha), I only have them on rare occasion. carbs are often what made us fat in the first place...

All grains don't give me issues. I can eat popcorn and rice and beans too occasionally without much gain, other than salt, if it's popcorn! Now wheat and sugar are another story! I eat either and I'm all puffy and stuffy the next day.

For me, the whole point of doing this plan, is to be able to have the occasional hamburger with a bun or french fries and not puff up like a macy's float. It may just not be in the cards for me though!

I may have to do the laser method on wheat and sugar.

I think that's probably too many calories - 11 x LDW? yikes. I can't stuff that much in, either. Just take P4 exceedingly S L O W. 1/2 serving of ONE thing different, do it early in the day, two days in a row, and see what the scale does. Have a steak day handy for mental control. Don't freak out.

ahhh popcorn, my old nemesis! I could live off it. popcorn and sugar cereals are like crack to me.

sounds like you have a wheat allergy, no?

I think I probably do have an allergy. I don't get gastro symptoms but it really does a number on me, puffy and cranky as heck! DH hates it lol

I might try to laser method the allergy away, I would like to be able to eat it, if even in small quantities.

I'm down 2.5lbs this morning after TOM left, so I'm sitting comfy at .9 above LDW. I think I've stabalized well in P3, so hopefully if I go slow in P4 I will be fine!

If it puffs you up...you are most likely sensitive to it. Give the laser technique a try and who knows...it might work!!
