I just don't want to eat
So, I've got about 9 more VLC days for this 40 day round of P2 and I'm so uninspired with the food that I just do NOT want to eat my meals.
I feel like I've been eating a variety of foods but I'm at the point where I'd rather just not eat anything than eat another P2 meal. I'm able to eat lunch but often only eat part of it. Then for dinner I don't even want to bother. I'm worried that eating only about 250 calories each day is going to end up stalling me. I know I need the nourishment (My body tells me when I am dizzy just getting up) but UGGH!!! Is anybody else having this same issue? Do you think I'll be okay and continue to lose these last 9 days, if I only eat lunch? ![]()

Ok, I'm going to say this with all the love I can....
*SNAP OUT OF IT* There. Now go get you some protein. We don't want any fainting BellaDonna on our hands and have the world say, "See, we knew hcg wasn't safe," or some such rot. Love you! |

And of course most of us have gone through that. I got to a place where all I could stomach was cottage cheese and strawberries during the stress of tax season. But at least I got that much down. Do you like that? Or a smoothie with strawberries, a little spinach, and eggwhites, the pasteurized kind or the powdered kind?

You are too darned cute!!!! I love your avatar. I get that same way when I am at the end of a round. I get so sick and tired of just the veggies though. So they arte the first to go!! I would NOT give up the protein if I were you. At the very least you have to have those. You don't want to go into starvation mode. |

I agree with keeping up the protein. You've made it this far... it's just a little longer! Please hang in there!! Have you tried the ground beef and cabbage recipe? Or tried it with shrimp? I got tired of chicken breast and sirloin pretty early on and found the cabbage dishes are all I really enjoy eating.

The egg and cottage cheese options always get me through the last part of the 40 vlcds. Just when I can't stand to chew another piece of meat I start with the eggs.
Last night I had 1 whole egg + 3 additional egg whites with chopped fresh tomato and basil. It was amazing. The night before I had the same amount of eggs with a drop of pure vanilla extract, a bit of cinnamon and a couple drops of liquid stevia with strawberries on top. My bf was 100% grossed out but it tasted like crepes or french toast (kinda sorta) without the bread - more like dessert than dinner and I really enjoyed it! It's a little crazy how much I love cottage cheese. I only let myself have that as a lunch meal where I measure it out at home and bring it to work - that way I can't be overly tempted to go back to the fridge for a few more spoonfuls since I don't have anymore with me. ![]() Almost forgot - cucumbers are my go to choice when I really don't want to eat my veggies. You might hate them - but maybe you have another choice you can tolerate? (lettuce with a splash of vinegar? baby spinach just quickly wilted in a skillet?) Hang in there! The smoothie recipe I make is different. Not with cottage cheese, but with eggwhite protein. Strawberries, ice, a little water, a little stevia, a little vanilla, a handful of spinach (smallish-it turns the whole thing green!) and some eggwhites - you can get the pasteurized kind or the powdered kind.

Almond milk has corn starch in it unless you make it yourself. And then of course there's the fat in almonds LOL.
I don't miss the milk in my shakes at all unless you aren't making it with strawberries or oranges. Add a little water and ice and eggpowder and wah-la. |

hi guys! thanks for the advice (and the gentle slap upside the head, cmarie!). i've decided to work hard on getting in the protein and to try just getting in the two meals each day. if i'm just not successful with this in the next 3 or 4 days, i think i'll end p2 a little early (my last day is 6/3/11), as i just don't want to get myself sick. hopefully, i can rally. thanks for the great ideas and support! HUGS!!!!

I'm feeling the same way. After I calculated my meals today (chicken, stir-fried cabbage and strawberries for lunch, and cottage cheese, tomatoes and a melba for supper) I'm at less than 300 cal, yet I'm not hungry at all.
I've been spending all night helping my teenager bleach her hair so we can dye it pink for the last day of school tomorrow, but I'm going to try to eat an apple before bed. |

Hi Mokih! I hope you're doing a little bit better today and getting yoru protein in (as others have been recommending to me). I continue to not be very hungry but most of all uninspired by the food. I prefer obsessing over Foodgawker.com and the Food network! lol Anyway, yesterday I ate everything (only lost .2 lbs, but that's okay) and just feel better about having nourished my body. I have exactly one more week left of the 40 day round. How far are you into things? I had crab meat with a sprinkle of Old Bay, along with a tomato for dinner last night and was actually happy. I really like the crab meat and feel like I am eating more than when I eat Tilapia, for some reason. However, currently my family budget can't affor this yumminess too much. Oh well. At least it's helping me make it to the end. Good luck with evrerything!!

Hi Bella. I'm glad you're feeling better today.
Doing better today, another .4 down. I'm only on vlcd9, just doing a short round this time so I can be in P3 when my youngest daughter has surgery in mid-June. I think it will be easier to eat at the hospital that way, and I won't have to worry about refrigerating my hcg. I tried crab, loved it, but didn't lose at all the next day so I'm hesitant to try it again! Today I think I am making "tortilla-less" soup for lunch, with my chicken, some broth and some tomatoes, and lots of cumin and chipotle powder. good luck to you, too! |

Oh no sorry to hear about the crab!!
I roasted a Top Round Beef roast 10 mins on 400* and then down to 200 for 20 minutes, remove all fat before and put spices or just salt and pepper... |

one more day on p2 and i was able to find some new inspiration, once i got slapped back to reality by everyone! lol I realized that I was never eating onions, so I had filet with sauteed (can they be considered sauteed with no fat?lol) onions. For lunches, I started to eat crab with a sprinkle of Old Bay and a thinly sliced tomato. It was a much needed break from what I had been eating.
Anyway, thanks for all the posts. Wishing you all the best in your journeys! Tomorrow, I am going to start a page for p3, since I've been really lucky to have some very kind supporters/friends/cheerleaders/mentors. Feel free to join! |

Chicken and celery soup (just simmered in chicken broth with garlic, thyme, and some onion powder) saved me. Cooked apples or plain nonsweetened applesauce is good in a pinch.
I was sick at the end of R1P2 so I rotated these with the shake Marie mentioned (1/3 to 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, handful of strawberries, handful of spinach, a little stevia. Aim for 90 to 100 cal worth of cottage cheese ... or, if you use 1/3 cup of low fat cottage cheese, you can squeeze two shakes a day in and stay under the calorie limit). I agree with halebop... the eggs go down okay. I scrambled 1 egg with 3 egg whites and added some well-cooked asparagus or raw spinach if I could manage it. I had a glass of tomato juice or applesauce with it if the veggies wouldn't go down.
