I was just not feeling the love with fasting today, so I decided against it. I am just going to try to keep it lighter today than I have been -- I'm running around like a little activity tornado, moving boxes and furniture, cleaning, etc. -- I'm sure I will burn off quite a bit of fuel that way.
I do think a fast day is in order this week, though -- just to shake it up a bit. I had lunch, and I suspect that'll be it for the day, so I may well get in 24 hours fasted in any event (assuming I skip breakfast tomorrow.)

![]() This is the kind of diet that requires a great deal of research. Tons of reading and then, when you're done, reading some more. THEN, we can answer some of your questions. This is the most difficult diet I have ever had to try to explain, and it was hard to grasp at first, too. I was a non-believer until I learned for myself that it works. Google "pounds and inches" and read the free pdf file, written by the Dr who started this whole thing. That will tell you a lot of what you need to know. On another note, I just want to say that I really hate chicken. I try to like it on P2, but without the skin, I just can't hack it. I cut off all the tiny little areas of visible fat, and whatever the heck the other stuff is that runs through it in places, and still the texture is yucky. No more chicken for this old gal, for the rest of this P2! ![]() Not only is it taking me forever to get through this chicken dish, but forever to get through all the threads today! I feel like molasses. Liz, I hope your son is alright out in MO. You stay safe, too. I have family in MO as well. What a terrible thing to have to experience. ![]()

The hhcg hasn't seemed to affect TOM for me. Stayed right on schedule with accompanying PMS joy. Oh...I just realized that one thing (um, two things
) I didn't get this cycle was sore b@@bs. Otherwise, business as normal. |

I've had a totally bizarre day. diet aside. I had a booger of an anxiety attack, most people are being strange, work was unusual...just...everything was kind of WRONG.
I also once again had too many crackers. I didn't go to town, but it was more than I should have had. I'm gonna try to go to yoga tomorrow. my energy levels are STILL shot, but at least today I felt kind of lucid despite all the yuckiness. |

Cheryl -- I just want to hug you right now --- sometimes you have the courage to say in writing (and well, too) exactly what I am thinking!!!
Tracey -- I will google Brian Peskin right now. I did a ton of housework/rearranging today, and was just SO pleased at how strong my arms are Plus, I swear my shoulder definition is much more visible than it was even a week ago.I also got in a great workout -- Bar Method Super Sculpting 1 (not for the faint of heart!) -- and I did indeed fast after lunch.... so feeling good all around, but tired now. I held up amazingly well today, though, for all the energy expenditure I did. It is definitely time for a few leaning out days -- I'm showing a bit more bulk than I want to have on my little frame... pleased with the muscle gain, but wanting to make sure it is as lean as possible... so it is p2ish and IFing for me for a bit. I suspect a good deal of the bulk is just water retention.. I am working these muscles really hard, and I know that makes them swell up... and I also know that there are bulky looking periods in any journey towards true lean gains, so I am not much stressing it. I am going to stay off the scale until I have done a few low eating days, though... just so I don't freak if it has jumped up a bunch... with the hard working out, it may well have done just that. Yawn, this is a slow week on the scale for me. I lost a 1/2 a pound but that's still over my lowest weight by at least a pound. Then there's DH who is having a great weightloss week and he's only 2 pounds from goal now. What sucks is I've been working at this for so much longer than he has and I deserve to hit goal first. Ok, rant is over. I just needed to vent, lol!
Mini- Again, I'm so impressed with what you've done with all the workouts. I wish I had it in me! Star- I have horrible panic attacks from time to time. Mostly its right before TOM and whenever I have to work with management at work. I feel your pain! Cheryl, your posts were cracking me up! Hope you made it to bed! I should be able to post a little more now. This week at work we're packing up classrooms and today is the teachers' last day. I have 2 more weeks yet so it'll be lonely at work, lol! I've been working a ton in my yard and garden too and that's finally getting to the point were it'll be maintenance time. Got 1 part of the veggie garden planted (corn, green beans, potatoes, onions, more rasberries, radishes and carrots) and now have to work on our bigger garden area (tomates, cabbage, pumpkins, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, eggplant, brussel sprouts, spinach, cuccumbers, pickles, zukes.....) you name it, it's probably in there! As long at it doesn't rain too much we'll be done planting all that tomorrow. Planting is a pain for me as I have to lay newspaper, straw and grass as I go as our soil stinks and the weeds since it used to be a pasture are crazy! They're calling for rain the next few days so I'll have to get things in between raindrops! Hope everyone has a great day. I need to get moving!

I was so discouraged over putting on 4 oz/day for the last few days. Bug bites, slow bowels (I was out of my magnesium) and some stress added up to a poor situation.
Things are better today!! Bug bites are fading and my magnesium arrived. All in all I believe I can do this. Another 10 days until P3. Will need to learn more about that later. Have a great day everyone. |

Down 1.8 to my low of last week, 137.6. 2 weeks ago was 135.4...want to see that number or slightly more before calling round over.
Sounds like everyone's doing well. Keep up the struggle! I have gotten some great kudos this week. Yesterday a neighbor at my daughter (and his) play congratulated me on my weight loss. He hi-5'd me twice (funny, huh?!) And when I called my sister to make sure the tornado in Watauga didn't catch her, she told me how proud she was of me (and no, the tornado was close enough to see, but didn't catch them). I hope everyone's getting those NSVs if the scale is being measly with number changes!

morning.
today is VLCD1. i am only up 3.6 from my start weight after 2 load days. yesterday i pre-weighed some chicken and super lean eye of round steaks and packaged them in baggies so i can just grab a baggie and cook. i also cut up 2 100g portions (2 days worth) of strawberries to just grab and eat. today will be 8oz of chicken (yeah, a rogue extra ounce ), a braeburn apple, 1/2c cucumbers, 100g strawberries, i can't remember what else was on my list...lol. but that's a start.have a great wednesday! |

Good morning! I am -1 today and TOM arrived yesterday afternoon. Weird how quickly the bloaty feeling started to subside. So I'll keep trucking for a day or so more before going to P3.
Got a very busy day ahead so won't be around. Hope all is well! |

Down 1.4 lbs today. I am not sure if it was eating the few extra calories, drinking more water, or my cheat from Saturday finally left me and I released some water weight. I'll take what I can get...
I took my last set of pellets yesterday at 8 am and will be doing a P3 interruption from Thurs - Mon. We are having my parents up to our house for Memorial Day and didn't want to gain a ton of weight, so I thought the interruption would work out well. One good thing is that I am taking charge of the menu so I can make some foods that are P3 acceptable. I will be resuming P2 on 5/31 to get these last 7 lbs off!!! Hope everyone is doing well and have a great Wednesday ![]()

Morning ladies...
I am still not even close to my "lowest" but still plugging along!! TOM is actually due tomorrow, but not counting on it, as I have a vacation next week, so I am sure it will "inconveniently" be late as it has been since starting HCG and hit right during the trip (hate being a girl sometimes) and I wish I could blame some of this "up" on that too, but if its not coming until next week (very likely) its probably not it either!! LOL It just does not want to make the "bathing suit" comfortable for me at all!!! Keep on truckin ladies and keep up the good work!!

Today is going well and I think the hunger is finally over. Weird how I felt hungry when taking hcg for the first couple days. maybe I did not load enough!! Anyway I am on track and feeling good. I have no cravings either which is a definite plus.
I am promising myself a clean week and with dh and ds gone it should be easier as I can eat when I am hungry and not according to the clock. I was able to workout this morning and did strength training. I wasn't in the least bit fatigued and actually my energy was better!! I don't intend to make exercise a must during p2 nbut I enjoy it so much that giving it a break just seems wrong to me. So I have decided to exercise if I feel like it and enjoy it. Just a quick question: Has anyone experienced nausea while taking hcg? I have slight nausea in the afternoon and was wondering if it were normal or if I am coming down with something? |

Morning, ladies!!!!!!!
Tracyann -- I had little bits of nause here and there at first -- but once I got used to the hhcg, that went away. Run with those workouts when you have the energy -- I really know what you mean about being unwilling to give them up!! Paula -- kudos on the compliments!!! Yahoo!! A healinglady -- glad you are feeling better I certainly don't want a repeat of the suspected brown recluse bite I had as a kid... no sirree! That was NO fun. |

2babes -- glad TOM is here and hope you feel altogether more balanced as soon as your hormones balance out.
Melanie -- sounds like you are doing some mighty impressive work on your garden! Wow! And hey, I think that counts as a workout in itself |

Not much to report here -- except maybe to grouse that I have three nasty, ugly cystic zits
Its better than the never-ending TOM, but I am vain about my skin, so this isn't fun. I did a peel, and actually got pretty aggressive with it -- so I am slathering my face with emu oil and hiding from the world (or at least the sun) for the next few days until the peeling happens. House is really starting to come together, though there is still quite a bit more work ahead on that front -- I am getting to the fun, finessing jobs now, so that is satisfying. Still fasting (since 1 pm yesterday) -- aiming for at least 24 hours, or maybe more... no hunger at all this morning, so that makes the fast quite easy. I am aiming for one meal later in the day today, and then another fast period. Muscles feel better today than I thought they might -- I was afraid I might be really sore. I am definitely going to want to get in some sort of workout, though I'm thinking cardio is still probably best -- I worked my muscles really hard this week. I'm on a break between semesters, so I have some honest-to-goodness free time at the moment, and I am glad to be getting done some of the work that has been taunting me for months now Happy and productive day, all! You sound quite busy minimonkey. I too have been working on my house. Interesting how clearing the clutter and redecorating the house go hand in hand with reshaping our body.
My room is now painted a warm dark gold and the ceiling is a deep orange, rusty color. It is very warm and relaxing. Just inherited my Mom's bedroom suite and it looks amazing with those colors. Nice to have something of Mom's close to me. (She died this past Feb) Off to work now after a nice walk in beautiful sunshine. |

TOM is due for me on Saturday. I'm not reminding DH of this as we have an overnight date and I would rather break the news to him then then listen to him complain about it all week, lol! My weightloss is at turtle pace too this week. I'm only up a little over a pound from my lowest but it could be 10 pounds and still feel the same as I know its going slow moving on the scale this week. Oh, and my 3 days before TOM hunger pains have started. I'll be this way until Saturday morning then I'll feel fine once again. Right now I feel as if I could eat someone's arm off! LOL! |

just wanted to check with you ladies....constant empty tummy feeling/hunger is pretty normal for the first few days of VLC, correct?? while i don't feel STARVING, there has just been a nagging empty hungry feeling all day. i'm not panicking or anything, just checking with you all to see what your first few days were like.
i have had one meal and half my water and it's 1.25pm. |
