Hang in there Breezer. I predict by the end of the week you(if not sooner) will have a very nice loss.
I received my pellets today, but, I've been gone all day so I haven't even opened the box. I will load Sat/Sun, or Sun/Mon. My ds is going to be gone Fri-Mon, so I don't want to be TOO grumpy or hungry while he is gone so I can enjoy the time with dh! Marie |

100 grams lean ground meat, cooked in broth (now, water) and drained and set aside. Wash pot of any grease. add two handfulls of chopped fresh cabbage cover with broth (now, water) add: garlic powder, red pepper and black pepper (and, now salt since not using broth) Cover and cook until soft. When cabbage is soft add ground meat back and cook for a few minutes. Now, this may be too bland without the chicken broth. The second time I made it, I also added a pinch of powdered ginger, tamari, and a packet of stevia. It was more Chinese flavored that way.

![]() I can't wait to post losses! Good plan on your loading days. I was so full and uncomfortable the second evening of loading, romance was out of the question. Yesterday I felt okay, but by bedtime I wasn't in any mood for talking. My dh commented on my grumpiness. I just wanted to go. to. sleep. and he kept trying to talk to me. (Any other time and I'd be delighted to sit in bed and talk to him, I love that stuff!) I feel like I need to eat something now. So far today I've had cucumber with ACV (which didn't really rock my world) and 100 grams of boiled chicken. It's 4:15 p.m. I don't feel hunger, but I feel like I might crash and burn if I don't eat something. I guess I'll try some ground beef and cabbage, sans chicken broth. You brought back some nice (very old) memories for me, with all the talk about your DH. (Did I delete the part about romance? I didn't mean to.)Your soup sans broth sounds (excuse me for saying this) . Why don't you try some of that P2 Chili stuff? You might be going a bit too overboard, worrying about fat. (Wiping down a pan you boiled meat in.) I was stricter about fat in the very beginning, but it was torture. I quickly found that fish and chicken on a low fat, low cal plan was the world's worst idea ever created. Now I eat a variation of lean ground beef, fried in a pan with lots of spices until done, then I add a half can of Rotel tomatoes (has chilies in it and is hot.) I eat that stuff all the time.Find things that are yummy! One other thing I was into for a while (before I got turned onto the chili stuff, my way) was cooked shrimp with my own homemade cocktail sauce. I used LC Heinz ketchup (I'd measure out 50 grams) and add lots of plain horseradish. (I'm rogue, obviously.) I know that you are doing this LC, but are you doing it "rogue"? Not sure how close to protocol you are trying to stay. Play around with things. Whatever you do, don't get yourself into a rut! PS: I never rinse my beef after frying; just add the tomatoes, heat and eat. Yummy!

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!
![]() I don't know what the P2 chili is --- do tell!!! This evening I made the ground meat and cabbage with just enough water to cook the cabbage, then I cooked most of the liquid out. I added the tamari, garlic, ginger, red pepper, black pepper, and half a packet of stevia and it was GOOD!!! I want to try the chili now! |

The scale moved this morning!
I took calcium, magnesium, potassium and B-vitamins last night. My calves and behind my knees still feel crampy. I see that most people take more than one potassium pill. I'll increase my potassium pills slowly and see if that helps. They aren't cramping full out, just feel uncomfortable like they 'want' to cramp on me. I keep flexing my legs to try to make it stop and it won't go away. Beginning weight: 170.2 After 2 load days: 174.2 (+4 lbs.) R1P2 1VLCD: 174.2 (no change) R1P2 2VLCD: 171.8 (-2.4 lbs.) |

![]() Yesterday's food: 8 a.m.: 1 cup black tea 10 a.m.: half cucumber w/ACV 1 p.m.: 100 grams chicken (boiled); other half of cucumber w/ACV 5 p.m.: two handfuls of cut cabbage; 100 grams lean ground meat 8 p.m.: 5 cubes of boiled chicken, I didn't weigh it. Probably 20-40 grams. I'm not doing the melba toast and I'm not doing the apples. So that's how I justified the additional cubes of chicken. I'm thinking this is less than 500 calories. I'm going to go add it up on ******.com. ETA: It's 450 calories. Maybe today I can have more cabbage. I didn't like the cucumber with ACV (and I didn't even finish eating it.) Hi Beezer,
I've been thinking about your chicken broth issue. I've used both chicken and beef broth during cooking to saute veggies, thin out the chili, etc with no issue. But I haven't done soup or drink cups of it (I used to do this on Atkins). So I'm thinking "everything in moderation" might be a way to go forward. It really does make a difference on flavor. Congrads on your weight loss! I'm starting day six, down 6.1, still .2 up from pre-load, ready to break the barrier hopefully tomorrow! |

I started the same time you did, just saw this thread today. You are doing great!
I had so much fun loading, it was my DF's birthday and he just had one wish, that I would join him in eating birthday cake, lol! So... I did! I hadn't had sugar in forever, so that was wild, but I made it through my day one without any hunger. Today I am more tired and hungry, but that might be thyroid, not the diet. Maybe today I will even out a bit. I put up my meats in little baggies and now have beef, chicken, and fish baggies in the freezer. I either put the protein in a bowl with the vege to take to work an nuke (just take the raw frozen and it nukes well), or do a pan sear thing with the frozen and then pile the veges on top to steam. I love the Braggs amino sauce to dress it up some. I'm being very leary of broth and spices unless I know there is no sugar or added fats. I'm down to below my pre load weight and can see my ankle bones (a good thing Today was a day off as was yesterday. I'm hoping that this gets me over the fatigue before I go back to work!

My scale didn't work today !! It showed the same as yesterday. I ate my second meal very late last night so I hope that was the problem. I am still taking the Nigen drops, cause when I tried to open the pellets I received from Netrition it was like opening and unwrapping the most fragile item, it took me forever to unwrap them. I will try the pellets for my 2nd dose today.

Uh, it's too hot outside!!! It's 93 but feels like 96 because of humidity. My son is in a tennis tournament today. I sat out there from 1-3 p.m., but I had to come home to cool off. It ends a 4 p.m. so I can only stay here to cool off for a few minutes.
I didn't put on sunscreen and I sat under a canopy, but I still feel like I got too much sun. I feel swollen and HOT and sticky. Eww. When we got there my son had forgotten his water jug (it was sitting on the kitchen counter where he left it.) I reminded him several times while we were getting ready about the water, and I'm sure I asked again when we were getting in the car and he told me, "Yes." Argh.) So I had to give him MY water jug. I will drink extra water now. Why is it that when I get hot my fingers swell and rings get tight? Gross. Last edited by Beezer Louisiana; 05-25-2011 at 01:10 PM.. |

Kids! They make nags out of us and then they drink our water! Sorry it was such a humid day. I can't take humidity, either. Unfortunately, it's humid here, too. The whole East coast and Gulf coast. Lucky us! Nice job on your menus. You're doing great! Nice losses, too. You're on your way! Kudos to everyone who's doing well on their plan, hugs to the rest! |

Thanks, Cheryl!
![]() I had my second batch of ground meat and cabbage at 5:15 p.m. After I was done I felt like I wanted something, so I heated some water and put a few drops of lemon juice in it. It was nice just like it was, I didn't even need any stevia. It satisfied me. I can't wait to see the scale tomorrow!!!!!! |

Well, I got sun burned on my chest, shoulders and backs of arms. Now what?
![]() I stayed under a shade canopy (Really! I did!) but it must've come through or been from the reflection off the cement or something. Ugh! (I do burn easily.) What can I put on it besides ice? I'm afraid to put a thing on it. I feel like I'm glowing (in a bad way.) Heat is radiating off my shoulders. Last edited by Beezer Louisiana; 05-25-2011 at 06:34 PM.. |

I'm sorry. Bad time for a sunburn, girl! I find Noxema helps soothe the pain from sunburn. Mom always used it on us kids and it works great. I wouldn't worry about applying oily things to your skin right now. You need to get some relief. Many people say that they aren't affected by things like lotions and stuff. Hopefully you'll be one of us!

Wanted to jump in and say that if you are using it for the HCG apple cider vinegar is also good for sunburns... put it in your bath and soak. I would go for the oil free suntan lotion next time
![]() Also, don't be upset if the scale doesn't drop too much tomorrow, sunburns can make you retain water too... Last edited by poofsgirl; 05-26-2011 at 02:10 AM.. Reason: afterthought |
