no #2 in DAYS...

Ive not lost anything for 4 days now. I think I now know the culprit. Ive not gone #2 in 4 days. Why? What can I do to help that? Do any of you have this issue? I was very regular before starting hcg. What is the reason I am not going?

I have started taking Natural Calm (a magnesium supplement) for this very issue. It works for me and makes me quite regular when I am in P2.

I don't take anything for it because it doesn't bother me that much. I think it stands to reason that, with as little food as we are now putting in our bodies, there isn't as much need to go every day. I went from being pretty regular to now only going about every other day. And then when I do it's small.

You had mentioned TOM was approaching, that would probably be a bigger reason.

Dawnyama, I'm so glad you mentioned Natural Calm -- I have that in my pantry and wondered if it was P2 legal.

I take it at night with my hot tea before bed. I actually like it. My DH is using it as well and he is not doing protocol!!

I also take magnesium, but I use Magnesium Citrate (there are many different brands). I take Magnesium Citrate 2 caps (=500mg) twice a day and sometimes more than that. Usually magnesium citrate is sold in health food stores--most pharmacies have magnesium oxide, which doesn't work as well.

Magnesium is great because it is a muscle relaxant, so when you go, there is no cramping or pain.

Hope this helps!

I used to have some natural calm I got it for my son to take and now I cant find it. Im sure i threw it away becaused he refused to take it. I just took so citrical just now I read the back didnt' see any issues with anything on it so i took it. Again, as ive said i taking a few pills to help me poop is gonna make me gain weight and totally fail at hcg I don't want to be on it. Same with taking advil for a headache or putting lotion on my face.

I do agree that im sure such a low calorie diet is why im not " going " but I just assumed thats why there was really no loss in these 4 days. yes ive been at the same weight for 4 days and im NOT happy!

I have to add that currently I am doing a colon cleanse and let me tell you---I don't need my Natural Calm when doing this. The stuff it is cleaning out will take off the pounds for sure!!! My kids don't like me doing a cleanse, but I am sure benefitting from it!!!

The one I am on currently is 3 pills in the AM and 3 in the afternoon. Then 3 of the nighttime ones at night. The brand is Health Plus Inc. I got it for free in a swap meet at a mom's meeting I go to. So I don't know how much money it was. This one lasts for 30 days. My last one, the last round I did, lasted only 15 days. It was another brand, Nature's Way Thisilyn Cleanse. I did just buy that one yesterday at the Vitamin Shoppe because it was half price (less than $15). The box recommends doing a cleanse 3 or 4 times a year so I know I will get some use out of it. I suggest just going to your health food store and seeing what they have. I don't believe that brand matters---just my opinion only! I am sure that others don't feel that way.

I am going to go today and get something. Most of the guys at my store know of the hcg protocol so they know what I can and cannot take. Hopefully I can get things moving because I feel really heavy down below you know? I just don't want to get stopped up and then have an issue with being unable to go and having to get the dr to give me a super power enema. ( holy crap I hope none of my friends and family know I post here this is embarassing )

I know it's very frustrating, CMac, but TOM really does have an impact here. And I hate to mention it, but your little slip up does too.

I guess you have to "weigh" - every pun intended here - what you want more in life right now. Do you want to use what lotion you want to use or do you want to lose weight? I am not trying to be hard here, this is something I had to face myself when beginning my diet in March. There are always going to be obstacles in ANY diet, if this was easy then everyone on the planet would be a size 2.

As far as colon cleansing, I am sold on its benefits. I am not doing it now while on P2 because I don't find that I need it, but I use Sonne's #7 and #9 with awesome results. #7 is a liquid bentonite clay and #9 is psyllium powder. The bentonite clay draws out impurities and the psyllium binds them so that they may pass out of you. Watch the ingredients in colon cleansers, some may cause abdominal cramping and the need to go way too much!

Well, ive not changed the lotions I use (johnsons baby lotion 2x a week) ( olay regenerist daily ) or the toothpaste or the hair products or the advil when I get a headache. I feel I will still lose while using these products becuase Im on 500 cals a day. I don't use any other makeup but mineral stuff so im save there with makeup ( when I wear it )I also only lotion my skin 2x a week when I shave.

Im going to do the colon cleanse becuase Ive never done one and I think that maybe it is about time to do so.

I guess i should get more advice from you thought since you are my 40 day buddy. I think im going to trust you on my stall due to my period coming. it should be here tomorrow lets hope it comes and goes in a hurry GRR!!

Off for my laser hair removal treatment an then to the health food store!

DH and I used Dulcolax stool softener and had no problems. Keeps things moving smoothly without the "I just took an enema and have to sit and home and wait for it to work or suffer an accident in public" issue.
