Ideas for a Perfectly *Clean* P3 Day to Follow Correction Day

I should actually be 2 weeks into P4, but I'm still eating basically P3, because I fluctuate in weight so much. I do great with Correction Days, usually lose 3 lbs with steak day or Greek yogurt day, but I gain it all back over the next 1-2 days....every time, and then it's back to another CD! It's getting old, and I want to break the cycle, but I really struggle with sticking to a *clean* menu for the day that has enough calories.

I've found if my calories are too low, I gain. But I have a difficult time getting them high enough when eating clean. My favorite ways to bulk up on calories are nuts, nut butters and cheese, but these aren't "clean" items.

Sooooo, I need some help, please! Can you share with me what you typically eat when you are trying to be really clean on P3? My steak day was yesterday and I really, really want to maintain the 3 lb. loss that put me back into my LDW window.

So far today, I've had coffee with cream and 3/4 c. of Fage (full-fat) with 3 big strawberries. Thanks!

On a clean P3 day I would normally eat:
B- scrambled eggs with ham and cheese
L- salad with grilled chicken and full fat dressing
D- steak and veggies w/butter

snacks would include string cheese/ boiled eggs/ yogurt

A "Clean Day" following a correction day should include NO cheese AND NO nuts. So anything other than that should be just fine.

This what I usually eat:

B: 2 eggs scrambled, topped with sour cream, 2 slices bacon, coffee with heavy whipping cream
L: tuna fish 2 cans mixed with 2 hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise and mustard OR plain Fage full fat yogurt with berries and my own sweetener added
D: meat (either chicken, beef whatever I have planned for dinner that day) cooked in butter; salad made with lettuce, tomato, bacon bits, real blue cheese dressing. I might have a veggie with this if it is broccoli or cauliflower.
A few cups of coffee throughout the day round out my fat content for the day since I use a lot of heavy whipping cream in my cup.

She is asking about what to eat AFTER a correction day, not what to eat IN a typical P3 day!! But yes, you are right about no sugar and no starch in P3.

**** If you eat cleanly after a correction day you are sure to "lock in" those losses from the CD.

Yes, Dawn, this is absolutely my goal---to finally lock in my CD loss. I have yet to accomplish this task, so it is my very focused goal for today (which is why I am pretending that the almond butter does not exist in my fridge ) Thank you!

Oh, no apology necessary. I'm totally thrilled to have this link to the recipes. I think I recall using that a long time ago, but I forgot about it. I'm going to try to plan out a menu for next week with some new recipes from the site.

Thank you!!!

Thank you, Shelby. I appreciate all of the helpful input. I was .4 up from my post-CD weight this morning after eating clean yesterday, but I have feeling it *may* be due to TOM.

By the way, Shelby--your before/after pics are super-duper inspiring. You look amazing!

Just doing some research this morning.
Question: Does HB stand for Hash Browns? I read it that way every time - think I might be wrong.

For me, locking in my loss after a CD involves eating a bit under BMR. If eat at or over I regain 1-2 pounds. Two days after the CD, I seem good to go to eat at BMR again.

I typically focus on good meats, 1-2 veggies, and plenty of filling fat. I can handle cheese in limited quantity. I can't handle nuts...cause I can't eat just one ounce.

Oops, just noticing that this is an old thread. Oh well, it's a goodie!
