Morning Carrie,
I was down .9. So even with all my fluctuations I was down a total of 3.9 for the week. Got to say, I'm likin' this HCG. I'm beginning to see my goal dimly up ahead in the head lights!

My only suggestion for the Zoo is PACK! I get deli meat sliced "medium-thick" and I roll it, sometimes with diced pepperoncini peppers (especially Roast Beef). Sliced apple. Bread stick. Cucumber slices. Maybe bring diet soda to pour over bare snow cone.

Good Luck and have a Super Fun Day!

awesome on the 0.9. i'm really getting in the groove too!

thanks for the zoo food ideas.

i thought i'd make joseph's pita pockets which are only 60cal for 2 halves, this will be my grain for the day. i'll have both halves with shredded lettuce or shredded cabbage, chicken, and WF bacon ranch dressing. and a cut up apple....and celery....and a pickle. might make a cucumber/onion/tomato salad with vinegar and splenda drops....this is sooo yummy, too!

Hey Carrie,
Glad you had a good time at the zoo. I really love the zoo!

My scale seems to be stuck too. I've been on protocol, the only deviation (if you could call it that) was a shrimp salad with no dressing. Thinking about an apple day tomorrow if it doesn't kick in. I've still got 3.5 to lose by Saturday to see the 120s by my birthday and time is running out. I'm on day 20 and only down 4.5#. I know the closer we get to goal the slower it gets, but I would have thought I'd be a little further. I'm still planning on a refeed day (of sorts, not out of control) for my birthday and then finishing out the month. I was looking at the OWL eating plan and considering that to give me a few more options and keep me going starting next week. How are you doing loss wise going rogue?

shall we biff our scales? maybe that will help.

i read about the OWL protocol too. this is similar to what i am doing before i even knew about the OWL. i am doing more protein though. and keep it around 700 cal.

changing it up a bit today...see below:

4T fat free half & half with coffee (have had this everyday since beginning of VLCD)

"hcg" omelet -- 1 egg, 3 egg whites flavored with ezsweets, cinnamon, and vanilla

7.5oz chicken breast for lunch with some lettuce. (lettuce only to keep bernice happy in the morning... )

"hcg" omelet, savory flavored with mrs. dash garlic & herb and a little salt.

so mostly protein today. total calories is only 528. remember i allow up to 700.

Mornin' Carrie,
Well it's an apple day for me today. Things have pretty much stalled since Friday. I'll see how things go, but I'm thinking of doing more of a cycling type regiment. After all my years of dieting by body/metabolism is pretty much on the defensive, so I think I'm going to have to be a little more creative. I also started back to my 10 minute mini workouts. Wish me luck!

Hope your day is starting out well and the scale is kind! Have a great day!

morning, terri!

so sorry about your stall. i hope the apple day kicks starts that scale again!

i was down 0.8 today after my protein day yesterday. i *really* liked my menu yesterday. i am going to continue with this menu. so today will look like yesterday with the exception that my chicken breast weighed in at 9.5oz frozen today. my total calories for the day will still be well below my allotted 700 at 594.

how does the apple day go?

The way I read it the "Apple day" is up to six apples throughout the day with whatever water you need to keep from being thirsty. And that's pretty much it. The few people I've read about trying it all had positive results.

I also got some interesting advice from Nola and C'Marie about my metabolism and am trying to step outside the box a little doing some alternating calorie days. I posted my plan as a new thread "my alternating re-feed experiment". We'll see.

Congrads on you continued loses

For several years I worked as a leader for Weight Watchers. We often recommended "rocking" one's points. It's good to keep your body adaptable, instead of the same number of calories every day. I agree with this!

I never heard that in Weight Watchers, but it makes a lot of sense. A couple other plans I've been into, Fit for Life, Abs, etc also advocated "free" days to keep things going forward.

Looks like you're getting pretty close to goal. What are you doing?

Good Morning,
Well apple day netted a loss of .4. Today I plan to up my calories to a target of 1200, back to 500 tomorrow and Friday and then refeed on Saturday.

Hope you have a great day!

enjoy your up day.

my scale was up 0.2 for whatever reason. i think it was my too salty supper...i got a little heavy handed with the salt shaker...i don't know why i even finished it, it was toooo much salt.

you have a great day, as well!

.2 could easily be salt! I've done that to myself as well, particularly when I travel. How much have you lost on HCG so far?

I started out my day with two scrambled eggs and strawberries. If nothing else, this diet is sure making me miss the LC days.

I can't remember who it is doing the HCG with low carb successfully, but I'm leaning that way on my up days. It just seems to click with me. I'm really hoping this cycle plan shakes things up for me!

not counting the up 0.2 today, i am down 6.2 in 11 days, which is still >0.5/day average, happy with that....still have what 29 days to go? so have time to keep going down. the 6.2 does not count losing the 3.6 load gain.

i really do love LC. hope it works great for you.

Good Morning Carrie,
Hope your day is starting off well and the scale has decided to cooperate!

Things are better for me. I'm down another .7 this morning and that's after doing an up day of 1260 calories

So I'm keeping with my cycle plan for the weekend. I'll be away from computer access for a couple days, so I'll let you know how it goes when I return. Hope the weekend treats you well!
