Tell me about TOM losses or lack there of
So im on VLCD 5 been on the plan 7 days tomorrow. I have lost a total of 5 lbs but honestly I really expected more... WAY MORE!
I am due to get my TOM in 3 days. Could this be why my loss has slowed? the first 2 days I lost over 2 lbs and its gotten less and less since then. After my TOM will I see a drastic drop in weight? Im annoyed. I know many are thinking " wow 5 lbs in 6 days that is great" but honestly I wanted to see some 2 and 3 pound losses each day the first week becuase I know the first week is your biggest losing week. |

It could be slowing you down since you're so close to TOM.
I lost up until TOM started. I weighed 354.8 on Friday. TOM started on Saturday. I weighed 354.4 on Saturday. And on Sunday. And on Monday. I hope I start losing again before TOM goes away, because my last day on drops is Sunday. ![]() |

It really is hard when we don't lose isn't it? When I wake up and I see a loss I don't want that taco bell burrito or those cheese fries. If I don't see a loss or it isn't what I expected part of me figures what the hell am I doing this for if it isn't going to work and I just want to eat a burger.
I know I am only a week in and maybe that is why this is so hard for me. This is the very first diet I have ever tried aside from the nutrisystem pre kids which did work but just isn't feasible now because I have to feed my kids too. ( go figure ) I think im just being whiny and a big baby because I miss my comfort foods. I almost want to cry because I just want to eat something im used to eating! Sorry just unloaded up there, having a hard day. |

How are you with eating the same thing? Some people like it, others don't. Me myself, I really struggled the first week eating because I really didn't like the choices on protocol. I was gagging down chicken breast and while I thought I loved cucumbers before this diet, they were getting on my nerves.
Then I read about the ground beef and cabbage recipe - which is delicious and filling - and then learned that strawberries were easier on my diabetes and that if I did without the melba toast, I could have 200g of sliced strawberries for dessert after dinner. For lunch I have the beef and cabbage with 200g of cabbage and for dinner I have it with 100g of cabbage. I could spread the strawberries out and do 100/100 but I like saving them for one dessert and not two. There are minimal supplies for the beef and cabbage, it is quick and easy to make, and I weigh and baggie up a bunch at a time and keep them in the fridge to make it even quicker. My point is, find a dish that you like and maybe try to stick with it? I'm not saying it will work for you but it is working for me. I honestly think I can eat beef/cabbage and strawberries until day 40 this way!

Lilac what is your weekly average lost eating the same thing?
I really try to mix it up but im with you, im really getting sick of fish and bland lettuce. I think im more of a grilled chicken with hot sauce and boiled spinich girl. I am going to try the cabbage and beef recipe I have it written down for my next grocery visit. I don't like strawberries but i love cuties and so I usually eat 2 of those a day. |

Poach your chicken or fish in some water and spices in the frypan and make yourself some spicy broth - then when it's cooked, take it out, dump it on a big old bowl of raw spinach, broth and all. YUMMY. Only way I can eat that dried old chicken and nasty fish
![]() Franks, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, YUM. |
