back to saturday mornings weight!
Crossing my fingers for a nice loss tomorrow. I hate cooking on the weekends, but it looks like I'm going to have to cook for the family to keep them from wanting to order out and derailing me. Sometimes I am strong enough to withstand, the past two sundays, not so much. I would LOVE to hit the 140s before calling this a round, but i don't think it's going to happen by early next week. ![]() |

Quick question..... I know lunchmeat is technically a no-no, but do any of you eat it? I'm meeting someone for lunch today and I'm thinking of Jimmy Johns. I could have a turkey unwhich (lettuce wrap) with tomatoes, onions and spouts with dijon mustard for 90 calories. I could combine that with one of my yogurts for a net of 150 calories that meal. I'm a little concerned about sodium but it's about 622 grams, not horrible. Whatcha think? Today's a running day so I need to make sure I get all the protein I can get in otherwise I can't run for nothing. If it wasn't for that then I'd just do the veggies which would bring the sodium down to next to nothing!

The moon is not in my alignment I will tell you! Boo!!! I am UP 1.2 this morning!! Part of this is I took a body pump class last night with my daughter. I did not want to, as I thought my muscles would hold onto the water to repair since I have not done it in so long, so I am assuming thats at least part of it! But I also ate a little more than normal, cuz I was then hungry!! So the combination, up up up!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gonna try the FFF (fat free greek yogurt day) today and see if it will help or not!! I am so not happy!! If the weight does not come down tomorrow, I will call today my last LIW! I just cannot take the ups... I hope my suit looks okay 10 lbs heavier than I wanted it to!!!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed the FFF works for you today. Have you thought about cutting back on the cardio a bit? It seems like A LOT and combined with the low calories it might have your body holding on to every bit of fat it can. Could you do a rest day in combo with your FFF? Or have you already ran your 3 miles this morning? Last edited by mymy3377; 05-18-2011 at 07:43 AM.. |

Oh, good question -- I didn't realize netrition was selling the pellets. I will likely go with those....aren't a lot of people using them?
I was planning to go with the Yavonae, but I do like to support netrition when I can. |

well, I seem to be hanging steady in the 109 camp -- and there has definitely been a muscle gain -- I can really, really see it!
Now, I'd like to lose some of the remaining fat... and that probably means getting tough with myself. SO -- yesterday I only managed a fast period of 16 hours (hardly a fast period to speak of) -- but today, I am shooting for the 24 -- good breakfast, and early -- and then nothing for the rest of the day but calorie free liquids. I can do that... I work tonight so it should be relavely easy.

Hi everyone! OMG. Yesterday was a Hungry day, yes with a capital H. I ate. And not all good stuff. I mean, it was good tasting, but not so good for me! I was so WHEW this morning that my weight didn't change.

I have looked at his blog --- and he certainly sports some impressive results! But an 8 hour eating window seems a bit much for me..... I can eat an awful lot in 8 hours!
I've looked at the Fast 5 program too -- that gets a little closer.... but overall, I think the Eat-Stop-Eat will work best for me.... longer periods of fasting seem to agree with me pretty well. So, big breakfast, and then nothing until tomorrow morning, or later in the day if I am not too hungry. I am not a night time eater in general, but breakfast is my weakness. If this doesn't work, I will go for a more traditional plan of smaller meals every few hours... but there's an appeal to me about IF.... and I think it really does improve the metabolsm over time. You don't need to do this everyday, either -- periods of fasting, and then a couple of days of normal eating, and then repeat. I'm experimenting a lot right now -- primarily because I am trying to find something that will work for me longterm.... as well as allow some losses in the next few weeks on the hhcg. I just don't have a traiditional p2 in me at all right now -- though if that is what it takes to get the last of the fat off, I will buck up and do it. I am hovering 4 lbs above my desired maintenance weight.. and though I realize that some of the gain is muscle (yes!) -- I also still have some fat to trim off. |

Today is the first day of P3 food. Hello 1875 cal day!
Down 1.6 since yesterday and that was on 2 hours sleep. Some nights I just can't get my brain to stop. It's hard to work today. How soon do you all add pork rinks? Im really craving them. I'll be happy if I can keep it below 145 until the wedding 6-18 then start another round in august. Ha! I don't know if I can stay off the stuff! We smoked meat yesterday-chicken brisket pork tenderloin and a turkey! Yummmmm Dentist today, boo.

I think IF is great, I did it before I started HCG with good results and after I hit my goal I fully intend to pick it back up again. And most agree that anything over 14 hours is beneficial for metabolism, hormones, antiaging etc. I guess it's just a matter of finding your preference and doing it consistently

Thank you, and Welcome! As far as your question goes, just make sure you have plenty of protein. I don't think the rest matters all that much. You'll be at goal in a week! Quote:
I say switch over to the pellets when the drops run out. Netrition orders arrive in 2 days' time, so no worries.Quote:

I'm sorry, Cathy. I know you are so disappointed right now. But I agree with what someone else said. I think you should scale back a bit on the vigorous exercise and do a refeed, to let your body know that it isn't the end of the world and it can relax a little! Good luck with the yogurt day. I really hope it does the trick for you.Quote:
They work for me.Quote:
Enjoy! I don't think you'd have to wait to scarf on pork rinds, would you? Neither a sugar or a starch, and they technically are just the protein structure left behind of the rind once baked (or fried.) I used to use those as crackers for my tuna salads. I also liked them as breading for chicken and fish. I even used them as bread crumbs in meat loaf! I fell hard for those bacon curl things (microwavable kind) but they have MSG and made me stall.GREAT NEWS! I took a nap this morning and got a bit caught up on my sleep and at 1pm I weighed 179.0! I made my goal to reach the 170's by the end of this week! Four more lbs and I can call it the end of R1P2! ![]()

Congrats Cheryl!
![]() ![]() Cathy, booo----hisss! No fair! I hope its gone for you tomrrow. To whoever asked about pellets, I'm taking the intermountain ones from netrition and love 'em. They're so much easier to deal with and more bang for your buck! I'll def. get 40+++++ days out of the bottle easily! My lunch was yummy and more than likely the most filling meal I've had yet on p2 of either round. I'll remember this and either make some at home or go get another next week or this weekend. Tomorrow are picnics at all my sites so I'm going to have to be tough and resist the hot dogs and chips, lol! Friday is the end of year celebration for staff, another meal, but I think they're going with breakfast, I can handle that. I'm also feeling so much better and I'm hoping that my energy level stays up so that I can get a great run in tonight. I need to get my endurance up for my race in 2 weeks. YIKES! |

Race?
All you dedicated exercisers are putting me to shame. I wish I could get with it, but I just have zero ambition to do anything. Maybe when I'm on P3 I'll have more "get up and go"? I can hope! ![]() Melanie, you've got lots of challenges ahead! What kind of race will you be in? When did you begin exercising? Was it a real push for you to get started? |

Cheryl, I've been running since last March (2010) and ran my first 5k last June. I stopped running shortly after that as I can't stand the heat and humidity and started back on and off again last November. In March I started to get serious again and have been running faithfully 3-5 days a week. I started with a run/walk thing and just keep pushing myself. Now I can do 4 miles, but normally keep it to 3 as I get bored, don't have enough time and my stomach muscles start to ache. This June my husband and I both will run a 5k race here in town that actually is a super big deal. I think something like 10,000 people run or walk in the events and come in from all over as its a quaifying race for the Boston Marathon?
One of these days I'll have to post a before and after picture of my husband. He's lost over 100 pounds also and is now just 5 pounds from goal, but now he's thinking he'd like to take off another 20 or so. We'll see. I think he's getting too skinny! |

It's called the Sunburst- Sunburst Races
Good luck on your race Cathy! The one I do is full of hills. I've yet to practice hills this time around. I'm going out this Saturday and next for some training on hills. In the mean time I keep upping the incline on my treadmill and trying to go longer distances. Oh and my time seems much slower than last years, yet I feel like I'm running faster. Maybe it was adreline that made me run faster during the race last year! |
