I am doing a "planned interruption" this week. I was on D#44 of sublingual hCG, and in the past week I started to feel a bit more weary and fatigued than usual.

I took my last dose of sublingual hCG Saturday night, and Sunday morning my weight was 126.6--almost at what I thought was my goal weight of 125, but looking at these saddlebag thighs makes me realize I probably have to shoot for 120.

So I'm taking an off-protocol break because I don't want to have to start a whole other round just to lose 6 pounds. I really, really hope I don't gain weight this week! My first round P3/P4 was perfect, my second round P3 I became the amazing gaining woman, and despite numerous correction days and only eating strict P3 I gained 15 pounds in those requisite 5 weeks between rounds 2 & 3. I should have cut that P3 short but at the time I was so rigid about following Simeons' protocol exactly. (I was also working on thyroid and adrenal issues, and still am, so I'm not sure how this will go.)

Thanks everyone for being here! I hope I don't gain on this "interruption"!

Marocka ~ I was told to use the first weight after going "p". I look at it this way....even though you know that you lost more after going to the "bathroom" think of the loss you will have tomorrow morning. That is what I typically do, I record my first inital weigh in and any loss after that is just a "woo hoo" moment the next day.

Shelby, I can smell it for sure!! I have decided to finish out my 8 shots left and go to P3, and then do a planned interruption while gone on vacation and then go back into P2. I dont want to wait all the time to hopefully only lose another 5 lbs (assuming I lose 5 more and do not gain a ton in Jamaica) I gain very very easily!! I'm UP dangit. It's gotta be the salty radish chips I made last night. I way overdid the seasonings on them, because as they dehydrate they get really STRONG. They were yummy though!

Hey Everyone!
So I finished my load days yesterday and Im up 6.4 pounds!!! I cant even explain to you how gross I feel. I know it will all come off within the next two days or so but I feel so bloated and gross!!!
Today is VLCD1. My stomach is rumbling like crazy but nothing I cant fight off. Im drinking hot water with lemon right now to fight off the hunger pains.

For those that exercise on P2....any suggestions re: eating before/after exercise and taking the hcg before or after? What do you find works best for you to decrease the hunger?

Well, holding on by the skin of my teeth here kids! I have been having intermittent lightheadedness today and way more hunger than is normal. Y'all KNOW that I take plenty of potassium and plenty of salt so it's not that. I think my body is saying "enough already!" If I wake up tomorrow and that darn scale isn't moving in the right direction, I will be calling it a round with today as LDD. Sheesh!

All right. Mid-day pellets in. We'll see if this helps!

Im back to join you guys! First VLCD on Round 2! I went on vacation last week and P4/loaded. Big mistake. I gained 13 lbs! Ive already lost 4 of that so i know a lot of it was water retention....but still--i felt so gross. So here i am --back in the saddle and ready for round 2! I hope those stupid 9lbs of vacation/loading weight come off FAST!

Hello ladies - a newbie here. Today is day 1 of round 1 (lemme get that right: R1P2VLCD1).

Starting weight is 211.2 - gained just 1 pound on loading days. Have a huge headache and have been starving twice already. Getting ready to make dinner so I'm hoping that helps.

I've got hypothyroidism, so I'm really hoping for some fast starts like a lot of you have. My drops didn't come with any info so I've been searching high and low on the net and found this. Thank goodness!!! and wish me luck!!

Hi Diana

When I started I was really worried that it might not work for me the way it did everyone else due to my hypothyroidism but that hasn't been the case. I lost 24 pounds my first round, stabilized really well in p3 and p4 and now have started back for my 2nd round. I noticed quite a few people here are also hypo and still did great on the protocal. I'm betting you'll find the same is true for you!

Isn't it great that we can just decide to stop when we want? I love that!

Shelby, if you were doing pellets only, would you do 3, 3 x daily. or 4, 3 x daily or some combination? Thanks. Happy for you going to P3

Much better today.

Goose egg again. 146. That's okay since I added a little more protein yesterday due to hunger issues. I don't think I'll even count last week Down 6 including the load weight.
I think I'm on track with the drops but have ordered pellets which will be here this week.

Lots of new faces! Go P2ers!

ok, let me just whine for a minute. I'm so sick of this round. I want to quit. I KNOW I WON'T, but I want to. I want it Bad. I want to be on P3. However, with the quick way I gained on my interrupt, and I haven't even *quite* got that back off yet, I know better than to just throw in the towel even though I could (I did 25 days of shots and 23 days of protocol before the interrupt) because I think I better be STABLE or losing again before I quit or I'm very likely to experience the same thing...

Estrogen Question

Have been reading posts on the HCG diet since 4 PM today and have enjoyed all your posts. I am very interested in this diet. I wondered if anyone is taking any type of estrogen for hot flashes ? If so do you continue taking it with the HCG or should you stop taking the estrogen?
Thanks for any input on this subject.

Before my first round, my naturopath discovered I was estrogen dominant. I started using a cream prescription that had a little bit of the right estrogen (I was dominant in the bad one) and alot of progesterone. I kept taking that one my whole first round.

There is a whole lot of estrogen dominate symptoms.... hot flashes is one, if I'm not mistaken.

After completing 5 rounds here, I'm going to be retested. Losing a lot of weight will change your numbers. Cutting out sugars will also change your numbers.

I did good today until this evening... all day I had a lot of tension and was irritable... I don't have plumbing so, it wasn't pms or anything... maybe stress and some soreness in my neck left over from moving last week. I wanted to feel better and Ibuprofen wasn't enough... I ate 2 pcs of veggie pizza (not greasy at all) but still... it was pizza. I don't feel better. I'm bummed. well... I'll just see how it goes on the scale in the morn and get back on track.

This week is not starting out so good. I am only hoping that my inches are going down because the scale is creeping its way down. Lost only 0.2. Better than going up 0.2, but still. I like bigger numbers!!!

Okay, y'all -
I am going to call it in 2 days. I've come to the conclusion that despite my losses, my head is no longer in it! I have PMS big time, am feeling super munchy, am up 1.5 lbs from YESTERDAY (probably water as I also didn't drink much yesterday and did 2 hard gardening days + 4 miles yesterday, but still...).
I think maybe I'm a short-round type of person. Hopefully today and then the 2 days w/o drops will get me back to 156, then on to P3. I might do a bit of a rogue style P3+P4, meaning P4 will be the same as P3 as I did terrible on P4 before. I like LC eating anyway and feel better doing it...not that I encourage others to do as I am doing, I know the whole point is to reset the hypothalamus, but I also know my body and what works for me.
Anyhoo, short round almost over!

Hey Cat. Great to see you are feeling better. The thing about it is that we CAN'T just stop when we want to--we have to finish out with the two VLC days with no drops! That's what keeps me pushing 'til the last possible minute!

I am taking 3mg estradiol days 1-14 of my cycle and have continued while on HCG with no impact. (60 pounds down in 2 rounds.)

I do NOT know how you make it through without a whole lot of cheating and/or whining! (Note similarities to above in my behavior in the last week or so...minus the cheating of course...)

As for myself, after being down almost 3 pounds Sunday, I was UP a pound yesterday and I am UP almost a pound and a half today--both for no apparent reason. (I just KNEW that whoosh was too good to be true!) So I am calling today LDD at 154.6, a bit higher than I wanted but yesterday was absolutely miserable--tired, achy, hungry--and I don't want to go through any more of that. My body is done done done after almost 30 pounds post load, about 23 from last LDW, and a solid 20 from my previous lowest point. If I hadn't dosed this morning before weighing ( ) I would have called yesterday LDD but c'est la vie. I will not dose the rest of today and get revved up for lunch Thursday in P3.

I'll be checking in on you all the rest of this week and will pop in after P3! (And not naming names or anything but STAY AWAY FROM THE PIZZA! )
