I concur on the gorgeous avatar!!!! You are truly beautiful! CONGRATS on your successes!!!!

Can I offer one piece of advice, if you do a longer round? (I'm not exactly a vet at this, but have been doing it since the first of the year) --

Don't freak when you stall! Don't give up, don't think you are doing anything wrong, etc. People who have consistent early losses tend to get very fussy when the scale stops moving, or even moves up for a little bit --- but, it's totally normal, and unavioidable, and it will probably happen to you, too, at some point.

I'm telling you this so that you will be able to ride through it without freaking... knowing that the losses do pick back up if you just keep working the program.

Great advice from minimonkey!! (as usual )

I wanted to add that when I did my 1st round of 40 days I had my biggest losses the first week. I had my second biggest losses my FIFTH week - so definitely hang in there and try to be patient (I whined a lot ) The losses do come but sometimes at frustrating intevals! My third week was dismal (I lost just under 2 pounds) My fifth week I lost 8 pounds just when I was sure big losses were behind me!

I just finished a 66 day round. Don't anticipate an number too much. If you are rocking it keep going. If you follow protocol and need several rounds to get to goal, you need at LEAST 6 weeks between the first and second round. You are suppose to allow more time between rounds. Now not everyone follows protocol.

If you are going to do a long round consider an interruption or refeed. For refeeds, I prefer higher calorie, low starch meal. Just an idea.

Feeling great today though I was up a bit this morning. You can tell when It's working because you feel cool and pee lots LOL
Today was like that for me. A warm beautiful day here in the North and I'm cold.
Not too hungry and not wanting carbs Yeah!
Off to sing tonight and that keeps me happy and busy away from food so no temptations.
We are on an amazing journey together folks!

Minimonkey, thank you. I clean up well, what can I say, lol.

Thanks for the great advice. I'm sure you'll have to smack me and repeat yourself at least once between now and then soooo... apologizing in advance.

Great to "see you" Lilac... It would be so nice if everyone used a real picture since the internet is so impersonal anyway! Very pretty girl!!! Good luck and keep up with that motivation!!

Me to me tooooo! I'm on R1, planning on 40 days. This will let me slide right into P3, and then P4 for some vacation in July, and back into R2 when I return.

Just finished 40 days...and as a carb-aholic, sweet-aholic, I didn't think it was possible! Didn't lose as many pounds as I would have liked, but the inches lost have definitely made it ok!

Struggling with P3 trying to get enough calories in...WOW, never thought I would say that!

It truly is about your mind set! If you think you can, YOU CAN!!

Very pleased to report that I reached that 10lb goal this morning. After my brief blip up this is very rewarding. Feeling great and set to continue the 40 days.
I use the timer on my phone to remind me to take my hhcg on time. I think that helps.
Avoiding becoming hungry makes this easier.

Way to go LilacBruze! It's good to celebrate our successes together.
I see you use the homeopathic like I do.
Amazing stuff and easy to take with you.
Now that I have programmed my phone to remind me I take my drops on time.
Every little bit helps.
Gotta go and get something to drink.

TO DO OR NOT TO DO....

Ok, I was seriously considering doing a 40 day round my first time, then decided not to...I'm on VLCD5 today with a total loss so far of 9.4 lbs including load gain.

SO what I was wondering, are you all skipping the suggested one dose every 7th day?? Now I'm considering to keep going...Just want more info on what all of you are doing so I can make an informed decision!!

Thanks

BTW you all are doing great, KUTGW!!

I don't know what that is - the skipping a dose thing. Where does it say that?

It's in P&I's Section entitled IMMUNITY TO HCG

"Patients who need only 23 injections may be injected daily, including Sundays, as they never develop immunity. In those that take 40 injections the onset of immunity can be delayed if they are given only six injections a week, leaving out Sundays or any other day they choose, provided that it is always the same day."

Marocka, if you are doing hhcg, you do NOT skip. If you are doing injections, you DO. Although I do know people who did injections who did not skip. YMMV. I've done it both ways. I almost always notice a nice drop after a skip day later in the round since I do almost 40-day rounds so I usually do the skips.

Great job.
....but seeing 23 days left just makes me cringe at going the full 40 days
you are a brave brave girl!

Ya know, truth be told, if not for the consistent loss, I would not be motivated to stay the full 40. Right now, seeing the scale go down EVERY SINGLE DAY has become everything to me. It surpasses thoughts of food, cheating, etc. It keeps me super focused and super motivated. Also, because I hear additional rounds don't produce the same results, and because I fear P3 and P4 due to their complexities (to me), all these combine to keep me strong.

I DO wonder... once the loss tapers off, will I still be as enthused and motivated? I can't answer that now - I AM human. But for today, the answer is YES!!

I think you're smart to continue. Even on the hardest rounds I've had, I've averaged 2-3-4 pounds in late-round weeks. That's hard to get on other diets.

I have been lucky and had losses every day as well, even through TOM. First day of week three is today and I lost 1 pound, so yes, the motivation is there to go a little bit further. My hubby is going out of town next week so I am debating just going until he gets back. My goal for hHCG was 135 and I am only 3 pounds away now, but of course you go "hmmm.. maybe just a little more..". If I hit my goal by the weekend I might stop, but if I go below it I might see if I can go to 130. No normal amount of diet and excercise would have let me drop 12 pounds in 15 days!
